Megadeth are a thrash metal band from Los Angeles. Formed in 1983 by guitarist Dave Mustaine, Megadeth have sold over 50 million records worldwide across 16 studio albums, received 13 Grammy nominations with one win and have been recognized as a member of the “Big Four” bands credited with establishing the American thrash metal genre along with Anthrax, Metallica and Slayer. Following the group’s 1985 debut Killing Is My Business... and Business Is Good!, Megadeth released five consecutive platinum albums including 1992’s Countdown to Extinction, which hit No. 2 on the Billboard 200 behind their Hot 100-charting single “Symphony of Destruction.” The group hit their highest chart placements since 1994’s Youthanasia with 2016’s Dystopia and 2022’s The Sick, The Dying... And The Dead!, which both debuted at No. 3 while the former’s title track netted Megadeth their first Grammy for Best Metal Performance.

I have been a big Megadeth fan for a long time, one of the greats I finally got to see. Long live the king!
The guys looked awesome and played even better! I was glad that they played some new material with the old stuff. They wailed on Peace Sells Who's Buying and Wake Up Dead. It was great to be able to see them in a smaller venue where you could get up close and personal. Machinehead delivered powerful cords and got the audience rockin'. Suicide Silence was ok but Arcadium was better in my opinion. Very cool having the meet and greet with band members and Dave. All in all, great show! thanks guys!!
What an awesome concert! all bands did well. especially Megadeth.
I wasn't feeling it for the first bands. They were not my taste at all. I usually like at least one band that opens, but not this time. It all turned around as soon as Dave Mustaine came out. MEGADEATH was perfection!
I actually bought the ticket for my rockin' awesome girlfriend. She had a great time, she met Dave M., and got her CD autographed. Her only complaint was that she couldn't get to close to the stage for very long, but hey, IT WAS A METAL SHOW!
2 hours of non stop music.Covered all from beginning to Endgame. Awesome!!!
While the opening bands ranged from terrible to mediocre, Megadeth came out and showed everyone what a metal show is all about. Besides playing the favorites that everyone knows from the radio, they played some tracks from the new disk along with songs from older albums, even Killing Is My Business! This is the 3rd time I've seen Megadeth live, and this was by far the best sound quality I've heard from them, along with incredible playing.
Four bands all together with Megadeth coming out last, but it was well worth the wait. Megadeth puts on an awesome show, their sound setup is spectacular. It is obvious they love what they do.
Megadeth was awesome, as always! After 20+ years, I was finally able to meet Dave. It was the best show ever!
Overall, a good show, plenty of energy from the band and crowd. I've seen them 3 times now at the same venue, and I have been disappointed each time with the overall sound quality. You can rarely hear the vocals of Mustane, and on two occassions, I could not even tell what song they were playing. Also, I would like to seen them drop Rattlehead, Symphony and Peace Sells from the set list. 1320, Hanger 18, Wake Up Dead, and Kick the Chair were great.
Megadeth was amazing as I had expected. They played an incredible variety of their songs. If I had hand picked the playlist it would have been pretty well identical to what they played. The other bands were pretty mediocre (especially due to their sound being mixed so poorly). Machine Head was ok, but Arcanium and Suicide Silence were probably two of the worst live bands I've ever seen (they sounded like they would have had trouble booking a bar gig). Megadeth was so good that it didn't matter how pathetic the rest of the concert was.
Megadeth and Machine Head put on an amazing show last night. Suicide Silence was good too. Two thumbs up!!
While I did not know the opening 3 bands, I have seen Megadeth before with Judas Priest as the headline band. This show lived up to my expectations. I'm not into the new speed metal, scream as loud as you can to make music, but more power to those who like it. I've never heard of Machine Head, but they were enjoyable. Megadeth ROCKED! My only wish is they would have played "A Tout Le Monde". I've never heard it live and would have cherished it...maybe next time. Thanks for another great show Dave and the boys of Megadeth! P.S. Orbit Room was also a new experience. I liked it overall, but it was extremely smoky in there--the only downside to the venue.
The first 3 bands were not what I was hoping for, but Megadeth made it all worth sticking around.
My husband has been a huge Megadeth fan for many, many years. When our 17 year old son asked to go to this concert I didn't even ask my husband, I just bought tickets for them both and one extra for a friend of his. At first he was unsure about seeing them in such a small place. But when he got home Saturday night, he could not stop smiling. The last time he saw Megadeth was at the Pontiac Silverdome 18 years ago. Thank you Orbit Room for hosting such awesome bands. The smaller atmosphere makes a concert feel so much more real.
Totally amazing, a wonderful show, a great venue. MegaDeth at their best, top caliber show, a real bang for the buck. A show well worth the price in this economy. Sold Out opening show, EndGame tour start in Michigan, and a meet and great CD signing; all first for any MegaDeth tour. Second MegaDeth show, if they come back to mid-Michigan again, I plan to be there. Thank you
Great show. im a huge fan and knew every song which were all played perfectly. the band sounded great. great show for a great new album
Arcanium : I'd never heard of this band before, but they weren't too bad. Worth the watch. Suicide Silence : These guys had good style, but I really didn't care for their music. It also didn't help that the rhythm guitarist was cussing at the crowd because not a whole lot of people knew who they were. They weren't bad, just nothing for me. Machine Head : This was one of the bands I was looking forward to seeing. And unsurprisingly, they killed it. The crowd was going absolutely nuts when they were out there. They played in their A game that night. I would definitely go see them again. Megadeth - This was the most intense part of the show. They played a definite thrash setlist including some older songs from "Killing is my Business...And Business is Good!" and "Peace Sells...But Who's Buying?", while also showcasing some stuff from the new "Endgame" album. This show was absolutely epic. Any thrash fan would appreciate it.
Megadeth was amazing. Dave and chris are just amazing guitar players. I enjoyed every minute of their peformance. My friend waited in line and got an autograph and got to meet Dave. I am pretty sure that was a really big deal for him. I would have waited too but I had to go. Only reason I give this event 4 stars is because I did not care for the other bands that played before megadeth. I dont care for the scream constantly whilst playing generic music thing.
This was the 8th time I saw Megadeth. They have not disappointed me yet. They seem to be playing very well. The new guitar player fits perfectly. It was a great show from beginning to end. After megadeth played, Dave Mustaine signed everyone's cd who bought one at the show. Even though I bought the cd the day it came out, I bought another one. Dave was really cool. He shook my hand and you can tell he cares about us, the fans. This show was an A +.
