MC Absolutely tore it up! The show was supposed to end around midnight but crowd reaction had him stay another half our taking requests as screamed by the crowd. He even broke out Tussin, a track he had said he wouldnt do anymore.
MC Chris show ws supurb! I love his music and the attitude he has about his work. It is great to hear him on my stereo but in person... He is simply AMAZING!! I have made a comittment to be a part of every show of his within 3 hours of my hometown. He is worth any amount of drive time as long as money isn't an issue. I recommend his concert to anyone looking to have a good time with a fun, entertaining and crowd pleasing artist!! He also stayed after the concert to sign autographs until every last person was taken care of. That is commitment to fans!
amazing show. the opener was shaffer the darklord, who was utterly awesome, and a really nice guy. he was followed by mc lars and ytcracker, who were decent enough, but didn't really bring much to the overall awesome of the show. chris was definitely who everyone was there to see. he was hilarious, and did some of his best songs, inclucing some oldies. he also signed the helmet i wear when i play Fallout.
This honestly was one of the best shows I've ever seen. mc chris was seriously incredible. He was SO FUNNY between songs and he really tried to bond with the crowd, holding Q&A and not leaving until EVERYONE had gotten something signed. The entire show was great, Schaffer the Darklord is now one of my favorite artists and MC Lars was really good too. But mc chris was SERIOUSLY INCREDIBLE. and for anyone who wants to jump on me for spelling, its mc chris lowercase NO DOTS REWIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIND!!!!!
Why do artists make the crowd wait around for hours before performing? We waited an hour and a half before the first performer came out on stage. That is ridiculous in my opinion. I pay good money for these tickets could you please have some respect for the fans. MC Chris was good as usual. He's funny and he puts on a good show. I will probably go to another concert if he comes in town again, but I am going to go an hour late.
I had a great time! The music, the performers and people in general were a lot of fun. I loved the music and how the performers interacted with the people and stayed until everyone that wanted to get a picture, autograph or just chat with them had a chance to do so.
The basement was the perfect place to see mc chris, it was small and intimate! mc chris is the best performance I've seen in awhile. He knows how to work a crowd and he doesn't leave until he sees every last fan!!!!! That is awesome!!! All I can say is he is uber cool!!! LOVED IT!
Math the band opened for MC Chris and they were horrible. It was a bunch of loud yelling with off key singing and off beat music. They came on late and MC Chris came on even later. Waiting was really annoying. The venue, The Basement, is the absolute worst place for a large crowd. It's tight and hot and the stage sits down in like a pit. Overall, MC Chris was good, but the waiting and the lack of elbow room was super annoying.
MC Chris was hilarious as always, very enjoyable. Get close to the stage early if you want to see anything (unless you want to sit at the bar and watch it on the TVs there which is fine too!).
SPEND THE DOUGH THERE ! GREAT SHOW ALL PROCEED GO TO CHARITY !
It was an awesome show! The opening acts were good and MC Chris was full of energy! It was a blast!! I'd definitely see him again and bring all my friends, too. :)
Great performances by everyone and I loved the different groups and the atmosphere. I'd recommend it to anyone that likes rock, rap, things nerdy or old stuff from your childhood, and just about anything.
Not much more to say than that. Production values were extremely high, the music was amazing, and it was definitely a highlight of the entire antipop festival.
The opening act, I fight dragons, made the concert worthwhile. There were moments durring the other two acts that I enjoyed, but noone really matched IFD on energy and coheasion. Whole wheat bread, the second act to play, was a very miixed bag. There songs were an eclectic mix of punk rock and "I'm a pimp" gangsta rap. They pulled this off fairly well, but would have beeen more impressive with a more organized stage show. I've been told the albums are better--they'd have to be. The highlight of their set was IFD's Laura Green and an unamed storm trooper wildly jumping around the stage. MC Chris was, as expected, absolutly crazy. He worked the crowd well, and managed to get the audince involved in his own quirky brand of hip-hop. At the end of the evening though, the real stars were the IFD team. they have inspired loyal fans around the nation, and continue to deliver exciting music with a lot of potential. Would I go see the show again? Definetly. Would I stay for the whole thing? Probably not.
