MayQueen Tickets

MayQueen is a new female fronted indie rock band based in New York City. Natasha Recoder, the founder, began writing music on her guitar virtually with friends during the lockdown of 2020. After the lockdown, Natasha began jamming with longtime friend Lucy Horgan. Their first practice in January 2021 was instant chemistry. After Maya Morrison (guitar) and Peter Joyce (drums) joined the group, everything fell into place.

Natasha’s apartment is their unofficial practice space, much to the chagrin of her neighbors. The MayQueen sound is breathless indie rock with influences from the ‘70s and ‘80s, taking inspiration from Blondie, David Bowie, and The Velvet Underground.
