About

MASTER P IN CONCERT:

Southern hip hop pioneer Master P remains a swaggering force to be reckoned with more than two decades after he first shook up the rap game with his distinctly Southern sound. He founded seminal label No Limit Records in the early '90s and remains a patriarchal figure of the extended No Limit family, continuing to perform alongside No Limit artists at showcase concerts around the country. No matter who he's sharing the bill with P always brings the ruckus to the stage with party-anthem favorites like "Make 'Em Say Uhh!" and "I Got the Hook Up!". The prolific P has several new albums set to drop in 2016 including the aptly titled Boss of All Bosses, and fans lucky enough to catch him in concert will know without aĀ  doubt who's in charge.

BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:

Master P, aka Percy Robert Miller, was born and raised in New Orleans but cut his teeth in the Bay Area rap scene after moving to Richmond, CA in his early twenties. There his brick and mortar shop No Limit Records became the avenue for his early releases and eventually the namesake of his record label. P made his debut on the label in 1991with Get Away Clean and followed up with several more albums before returning to New Orleans in 1995, where his uniquely Southern sound really found an audience. His 1996 album Mr. Ice Cream Man was a regional sensation that burned up the rap charts with its title track before local notoriety gave way to national fame the following year when Ghetto D topped both the Billboard 200 and the Top Rap Albums chart. His rise continued in 1998 with the album MP da Last Don, a multi-platinum smash that once again topped the charts. Since then P has consistently released albums and raised the roof on tour while also making his mark as an entrepreneur, author, and filmmaker.

    THE WORST!!!

by Ki on 11/13/19Chaifetz Arena - St. Louis

I was so excited to hear some the songs I loved as a teen. The show started 2 hours late, they were obviously unprepared and overall I was disappointed with the show. Mystikal and Mia X were the only 2 that actually did good. The rest of it was pretty much GARBAGE! It was a waste of my $80.

    Disappointment

by BJJ on 11/7/19Chaifetz Arena - St. Louis

The show started late. The no limit artists didnā€™t come on stage till 8:30pm or so. So much hype about ā€œare you ready?!ā€ then asking 10 more times with false starts to songs. Suddenly so many people were standing behind the amateur DJs. Oh that reminds me. The stage was only black drop curtains. Thatā€™s it. The only artists that did well were MiaX and Mystikal, who was the star of the unorganized, sloppy show. By this time so many people were leaving the arena toy would have thought there was some kind of safety evacuation going on (very alarming). By the time Master Pā€™s turn to sing, P droned on and on about ā€œ this a family reunion!ā€ And he's a multi millionaire. He was an alright act. All in all, the concert was unorganized with poor production quality.

Worse concert i have ever attended

by D. on 11/5/19Chaifetz Arena - St. Louis

This concert was by far the worse concert i have been too. It was supposed to start at 7 pm and it did not. The host of the concert even stated how disorganized everything was, which at first thought he was just cracking a job,but he was ABSOLUTELY RIGHT. The rappers didn't know their lyrics and would cute their performance short. The venue advertised a drink that was supposed to have tequila in it,but we were served vodka.

    Waste of Money and Time

by Kkdejd473 on 11/5/19Chaifetz Arena - St. Louis

This low budget concert started 2 hours late with no props on stage at all. The stage was packed with about 65 people who had absolutely nothing to do with performing. Master P and Silk talked through half the set. It was so slow to begin that every song was rushed through with a snippet here and a snippet there. If it had not been for Mia X and Mystikal there would have been nothing to see. I was so disappointed and if there was a way, I would definitely get my money back. No Limit needs to stop performing because it seems like they dont want to anyway. NEVER AGAIN!!!

    Hot mess

by Old School Love on 11/5/19Chaifetz Arena - St. Louis

Master P gave a piss poor performance with no production crew. A bunch of random people on the stage with him and the other rappers. No organization, playlist in order, did not know the words to their own songs. Mia X and Fiend gave the best performance they knew the words to their songs but the DJ was just not prepared. Silkk constantly ran to the DJ booth to tell him what song to play. Mystikal did good but messed up a couple of time or the DJ was throwing him off, not really sure. Master P did not know any of his music and tried to lip snyc but it was not the right words. It was as if they woke up and said lets do a concert, there was obviously no rehearsals done before the show or prep. For the amount of money we paid for our tickets he could have provided a tank or something to the stage. This concert should have been performed in a club venue. Will never see them again..

    by A. B. on 11/5/19Chaifetz Arena - St. Louis

Mystical could've came alone... The show could have so many.people...but his stop in STL,wasn't no hype on radio ā˜¹ļø..about them... MiaX..ripped it..too Had just Random folks on stage.. Master P show had no showmanship..no tanks, skit booty dancers that we didn't have in 90's. Silk couldn't really do he's ,cause he did a lot of duets..P seem to not know his lines.. The show can, probably will get better..with the Reunion Tour. Then No Romeo.. No Nelly but the Lunatics was Present..(*ĖŠį—œĖ‹*)įµ—į‘‹įµƒį¢įµĀ įµžįµ’u.. So master P should have more concert, then Talent show..STL SOLD OUT...MAYBE i try him with plies in Chicago. But.. Why he preaching so much about..bottom to top..like i got all Cd's..bruh we was with chešŸ¤¦šŸ¾ā€ā™‚ļø.. Bring more people do stl over..lawd...on Gawd... 72.00$....

    Terrible

by b. on 11/5/19Chaifetz Arena - St. Louis

Started almost 2 hours late; unorganized; Seemed like nobody knew what to do or when to do it. Artist were just "ok". Im very disappointed with this event. I was ok with paying a higher price for good seats until my seat itself became the best attraction. Do better.

    Disappointed

by STL Realist on 11/5/19Chaifetz Arena - St. Louis

2 hours late, unorganized, bad performances. Mystikal and Mia X did the best in the show. I think whoever was in control of the performances should have did a better job of making the sets flow and bringing the artists together. Every artist on the lineup is on the next artist records so why didn't we see the colabs? there were no props outside the 80 number of entourage standing on the stage. Those people should have helped make the concert better. there should have been more effort put into making the concert great. especially because the average ticket cost $100.

    MAKE EM SAY EWE!

by KL on 11/5/19Chaifetz Arena - St. Louis

All of STL was hyped about this Reunion concert and i think we were all let down... The show seemed completely disorganized, no props/backdrops, started extremely late, and I don't think I even ever heard a complete song :( I had floor seats so I spent a significant amount of $$ along with the expensive drinks for a piss poor performance
