    Mary Wilson Supreme

by MSD on 5/14/19St. George Theatre - Staten Island

Saw Mary Wilson of The Supremes in Staten island. The show was great. She looked and sound great. Mary really knows how to comade a stage. She did Supreme hits and non-supreme songs which I like better. The top two for me were Refections and Feilds of gold. I give the show 10 stars.

    Mary was great

by JJ on 4/30/19Orleans Showroom - Las Vegas

Mary was great; however, we suggest that the show not include Martha Reeves...not needed and maybe Martha should retire, as much as she was loved through the years.

    I was 13 again

by ParThon on 4/30/19Orleans Showroom - Las Vegas

The concert took me back to when i was a teenager, i didn't get to see the Supremes or Martha Reeves then, so at 68 i was propelled back in time to 1963. Baby love, Heat wave, Come see about me and all the rest of my favorite songs. We were doing the jerk the monkey and the philly dog. All i can say is when you get the chance to fill like you're a kid again you got to take it.

    Evening with Mary Wilson

by Biff on 1/29/19Halloran Centre at the Orpheum Theatre Memphis - Memphis

What can you say about an evening with Mary Wilson but WOW......Being a founding member of the Supremes you expect to hear some of the ole favorites & we DID....Mary started the night off with "My World is Empty Without You Babe", brought audience members up on stage for "Stop in the Name of Love" and got the audience singing along with "Someday We'll Be Together". In addition to covering her hits from the Supremes, Mary sang alot of her favorites...."I Don't Know Why", & "I'm Changing" brought the audience to their feet. Can't wait to see this amazing artist again, and again. Thank you! Halloran Centre for bringing the BEST to Memphis.

A historically important music legend who can still shake it

by Mister Sandy on 1/29/19Halloran Centre at the Orpheum Theatre Memphis - Memphis

Granted, I saw the original Supremes in the 60's several times and have since seen Diana Ross about twelve times in recent years. I am a fan of the Motown style that was taught to the early acts--the dance moves, the poses, the hand movements and the general way the Supremes were taught to present themselves. I've been on the front row for Ms. Ross and it's always a treat, but this time on the front row for Mary Wilson, I actually came away feeling I knew this performer as a real person. She let's her hair down. She is in the moment and talks to the audience as a friend. Ms. Ross uses the same lines like, "I love to look out and see you singing along with me" at every performance in just about the same spot of the Supremes medley. So Mary Wilson even came out and signed autographs and spoke person to person. She can still do the "Supreme" stuff, but she is so much more. She knows how to "sell" a song and make it her own. Why she has not received more acclaim is beyond me, but I think she is happy where she is. I'm re-reading her book because of the delight her concert gave me. It was absolutely amazing to see her command the stage. Now as for "production" . . . there are not a lot of bells and whistles, no smoke, no mirrors, but this is more of a one-on-one focus on the performer and that part works. What did not work was the lining in her opening dress made it look like a towel had become stuck in her heel. The entire second half she had an earpiece wire hanging down her back and her hair was caught in the back of her sheer top in the last few songs. None of this is her fault, but she needs a dresser or "helper" who is more efficient in the job. I may apply. (The lining in that opening dress needs help top to bottom as the armholes were not right. Someone should bring her water onstage without her having to ask. So that's just my take on how these things made it seem unprofessional. She never stopped. She was completely professional through it all and was so inviting to the audience. I've already asked the Orpheum folks to bring her back. A Memphis fan.

Legends Perform, at NYCB Westbury! 4/20/18

by GDSUnlimited on 4/23/18NYCB Theatre at Westbury - Westbury

Legends Perform, at NYCB Westbury! 4/20/18 ¶ I looked forward, with excitement to seeing and hearing Mary Wilson, Martha Reaves and Chubby Checker. It's not often an audience has such an opportunity, to witness talented artist from "back in the day!" I enjoyed myself and the show. ¶ All three artists were professional and gave the audience their all, to the performances. There's not a bad seat in the house, so we could enjoy the visuals in this intimate setting. ¶ Having said that, there were two things that left me empathizing with the artists. 1. It surprised and disappointed me, that the venue was not packed. It's hard for me to believe such a line up did not have broader appeal. Again, Mary, Martha and Chubby are legends! I'm not suggesting that more could have been done, with the promotion. It was just disappointing, to me and those sitting near me in my row. 2. At several points during the show, it was a challenge to hear the voices over the musicians. I'm not sure of the reason for that, or how that mix is balanced. ¶ To be clear, I still enjoyed my evening in the presence of "Legends," at NYCB Westbury! I also look forward to returning for future shows. [Submitted 4/23/18]

    Class Acts

by Minkie on 4/23/18NYCB Theatre at Westbury - Westbury

Mary Wilson should have been the lead of The Supremes. I've said that since the beginning. Her performance was upbeat, heartfelt, and her voice was in excellent form. Martha Reeves gave it her all. Her back-up singers are superior. Chubby Checker got the audience to sing along, and participate. He is also a give it 100% performer.

I enjoyed the show tremendously!! We we sitting in the front row of the balcony and would love to have been on the floor where it looked like they were having a really good time. Legondary Ladies of Motown

by teryle03 on 2/28/18The Peabody Daytona Beach - Daytona Beach

The "Ladies: put on a fantastic show! We especially enjoyed singing along with both performers. Mary Wilson certainly looked hot, Hot, HOT in her Fire and Ice Red Strapless Mermaid dress. My husband was a little disappointed when she changed out of it! We really had a wonderful evening with the "Ladies".

    Blast from the past!

by CKaprolet on 2/27/18The Peabody Daytona Beach - Daytona Beach

Loved, loved, loved this show, especially the Mary Wilson segment. I almost felt like I was back in my room as a child spinning the 45's, especially when Mary Wilson ran through the Supremes hits. The image if the record labels materialized in my mind instantly. Nice ending to the show by Mary as well. Awesome rendition of John Lennons "Imagine". Very applicable in today's society

Martha Reeves and Mary Wilson was excellent, they put on a wonderful show. Martha two sisters was her backup singers and the really had it going on. The Peabody was packed and everyone had a wonderful time. I believe both these ladies are in their 70's and they still ROCK!
