Mary J. Blige in Concert
Mary J. Blige has amassed an impressive eight multi-platinum albums, nine Grammy Awards, 32 Grammy nominations, a 2012 Golden Globe nomination and five American Music Awards.
Influenced at an early age by the music of Aretha Franklin, Chaka Khan and Gladys Knight, Blige brought her own gritty, urban-rooted style - fusing hip-hop, soul and honest, frank lyrics - to the forefront on her 1992 debut album What’s the 411? The successful debut featured hits such as ‘You Remind Me’ and ‘Real Love’ and went to number #1 on the Billboard R&B/ Hip Hop Album Chart.
"Ms. Blige has established a hard-shell model of big personality female R&B: the sort of music, halfway between hip-hop and gospel that represents real talk and reasonable fantasy; deals with issues of trust, love and dependency; and accommodates midnight fears and self-congratulation.” - NEW YORK TIMES
“Mary J. Blige is best known for being one of the living, breathing queens of R&B, pop, and soul whose mere presence on our planet remains a constant blessing.” - SPIN

Excellent experience. Effortlessly flawless evening. We enjoyed everything, not one complaint.
I enjoy the friends that she included on the show It was awesome to included 50 years of hip hop.
The order of performances and collaborations were great, the energy from the artist were great, the sound system and coordination of video was disappointing. Music and mics were muffled during some performances and the video was delayed from the performances. Could have easily been a 5 star event
Mary J absofucknlutely put on a show i love her and her energy is everything I would recommend seeing her every chance you get
All of the performers understood the assignment!! DJ Drama and his Friends, Jodeci, T-I, Jeezy, Jadakiss, Method Man, Busta Rhymes, Ciara, Missy Elliot and of course, Mary J. Blige. This was a great way to spend my Mother's Day weekend.
Best concert I’ve attended in a long time! I was not expecting all my favorite celebrities in one concert! Best concert Hands down
7pm - 11pm was Jodeci & 2 dozen ATL artists, then an hour long intermission between Jeezy leaving the stage at 9:50pm Mary coming on at 10:50. Then they crammed Mary, JadaKiss, Method Man, Busta & Missy between 11pm and 12:30am. I'm 52 & have been listening to HipHop since 1978. What was supposed to be HipHop50 was more like Birthday Bash.
I did not even plan to go because I had so many other concert plans, but my cousin did. And it was the best festival ever!!!! I will make this an annual tradition. Cannot wait until next year!
Can't wait til next year. It was Awesome looking forward to next year.
The lineup made the night an ultimate concert experience!
Love the line up and the performance of all stars. Looking forward for next year. Really enjoyed myself
I came all the way from up North for my birthday to attend this event. I'm pleased the concert started on time and that every one who was suppose to be there was and even had some extras. I got my money worth for sure. Even with the talent that performed, with this event being strength of Women I would liked to have seen more women performers but none the less I really enjoyed myself.
I really enjoyed the concert. The surprise guests were the best part. The bass of the music was too high when Mary was on stage....i could barely hear her.
