    Obstructed by Recording camera

by Tatanm on 7/14/14Tampa Bay Times Forum - Tampa

Quite frustrating to say the least when you buy tickets that are supposed to be premium price and you have a recording crew constantly blocking the view of the show which it made it quite frustrating for our son and us to enjoy the show. That's without mentioning the sounds were not quite insync with the movements from the performers when it came to the punches and kicks somethibg my 7yr old noticed. So overall we wouldn't recommend it and left with a very disappointed child.

    Marvel Live Universe

by MarvelMomtoLucas on 7/14/14Tampa Bay Times Forum - Tampa

Excellent show and has awesome seats! Food and marvel gear was extremely overpriced. $6 for a bottle of soda and $22 for a platic sword. I am not sure how people can bring kids there if they have more than 1 and be able to spend that kind of money,

    Can't Miss Super Hero Show

by Ironfamily on 7/14/14Tampa Bay Times Forum - Tampa

Great live show alternative for boys who love super heroes! Created by the people behind Disney on Ice, it was well put together and included all the favorite Marvel characters. My 4-1/2 year old son loved it and as parents we did too! A little cheesy with constant super hero one liners but overall a great family night out.

    Show lacked excitement...

by Motampa on 7/14/14Tampa Bay Times Forum - Tampa

The show was ok for most kids. We were expecting more stunts. It was mostly play fighting with a little pirotechniqics. Also the intermission was over 25 minutes. Way to long for younger kids to keep attention.

    Fun time with my son

by DaddyTime on 7/14/14Times Forum - Tampa

This was a good event. The cost of the tickets as well as everything else inside the arena makes this a three star event, but my 5-year old really enjoyed it and I thought it was well done considering it is a traveling show.

    OK for kids

by nsherako on 7/14/14Tampa Bay Times Forum - Tampa

I was super disappointed in this show as an adult. Very fake with most of the sound effects not matching the actions. In addition some of the show was in areas where you couldn't see what was going on. My kids enjoyed it but also said they thought there would be more stunts or tricks. The motorcycles were ok at best and one motorcycle scene would have been enough. We went to one of the first shows so maybe they will get better as they go. I would recommend the show if you get a good price on tickets. I wouldn't pay a lot and if you have small boys they will like it.

disappointing. wasn't as good as we expected. had too much time where they would play videos as if the hero was flying, just overall ok, not worth the ticket prices.

    lower your expectations

by gabesmash on 7/14/14tampa bay times forum - tampa

this show is strictly for kids. anyone older than 13 is going to be disappointed. the standout moments for me were the bike stunts and Spider-Man. the part were Hulk came out probably got the biggest cheer. i don't recommend sitting on the sides, the screen behind the performers plays a big part in the performance and sitting on the sides doesn't let you see it.

    Fun for kids!

by Herodad on 7/13/14Tampa Bay Times Forum - Tampa

We went to the very first show that debuted so I will not be too critical. Too just get some of the negative thought out of the way... certain heroes were a little dissapointing.*****SPOILERS***** Iron Man's costume looked fanmade. The head was huge and his chest and hands were not lit up. The timing and coordination of the effects were off. Falcon rode a motorcycle 80% of the time and when he did have the opportunity to open his wings he never flew like the other heroes. Positive note the overall show was fun and entertaining! My kids loved it and thats what matters! The stunts and acrobatic skills were impressive and awesome! The best seats to me would have been on the sides on the first level so that we can see the background screen better. I would go again in the future because I am sure they will improve certain details over time!

    awesome!

by mjavy7 on 7/13/14Tampa Bay Times Forum - Tampa

I think wolverine was the best performance. Spiderman had a great sence of humor. Hulk's part was way too short but great.

    Marvel Disappointing

by Fairatbest on 7/13/14Tampa Bay Times Forum - Tampa

The over all show was not up to Marvel standards. Took my husband who has been and still is a Marvel Comics fan since 1964. The super heroes did not pose and fly like super heroes. The acting was "small", it is an arena...you act "BIG" over exaggerate your movements and actions. The beams, webs, explosions were too predictable and not in sync with actor. Super heroes do not wear fake muscle suits. Yes we could tell. You should have used professional wrestlers. Could also see that punches and explosions were 10'+ apart from target. Very lame. Finally....including service charge tickets cost in excess of $80 EACH....No cameo or appearance from Stan Lee? We found this very uncharacteristic with the Marvel brand. My rating was a "2" because Spiderman and the Wolverine were pretty good.

Marvel Universe was a SUPER show!

Excellent fun for our 6 year old grandson. He was enthralled for the entire show. In his words..."this just keeps getting awesomer and awesomer".

My daughter absolutely loved it. It was great seeing all of her favorite heroes in person, we were particularly happy with the addition of Captain Marvel. :) It's not geared toward adults so anyone leaving a condescending review should remember that. Seeing her so happy absolutely made it a great experience for me. The actors and crew did an amazing job.

Action was good. The rest ughhhh!!!

by Poppacoach on 7/13/14Tampa Bay Times Forum - Tampa

Went with my kids and was super excited to be going. Unfortunately I got my goes too high for this event. I will say the stunts and explosions were awesome. The how provided enough mix of action/martial arts type combat with down time between. That's were it ends though. The whole show was pre scripted with a background track for the voice acting. Some actors didn't seem to know when they were supposed to talk or an action was to take place like Thor's hammer wound make an explosion and then the actor would swing the hammer. Another character, the Falcon, is a flying character. Except in this production. The Falcon was grounded and did NO flying what so ever. He rode a motorcycle and ran around on the ground flapping his wings like a child playing that he's a bird or a superhero. The Falcon would have been better off tying a bath towel or sheet to his neck and make whooshing sounds as he "flew" around. Another thing they needed to do was to add the jumbotron to the performance. The stage area is set so far back that even in my seats I couldn't make out the characters and who was talking at times. I'm sure that people that sat in the high 200's and 300's might have been really disappointed. I defiantly would have been. Really comical overall. I don't think some of the comedic parts were on purpose.

    Marvel Universe Live

by Bangos on 7/13/14Tampa Bay Times Forum - Tampa

Marvel gets it at all levels from the previews to the tickets to the merchandise and the concessions. They are an example of great marketing and integrate this experience through its movies and theme parks. My little boy was enthralled through the whole show and he is 19 months.
