  • Great show!

by TomFLA on 7/15/14Tampa Bay Times Forum - TampaRating: 5 out of 5

If you are a fan of Marvel you will love it! I would say this is more for the kids, but if you follow Marvel through the comics or movies you will enjoy it no matter what age!

  • Event was okay

I went to this event because my 4 y/o daughter is a super hero fan. She enjoyed it. However, I paid too much for tickets. Hulk looked like a funny doll, not scary at all. If you go, you have to be a super fan and if you buy cheap tickets. Event was not crowded.

  • Marvel Event was worth the money

The show was great! They props and costumes used for the characters were great! I do wish they used more of the stage available.

This was one of the best live shows ever!!! My 3rd old kept repeating "This is so amazing!". The stunts were awesome. My kids and I had a blast. We may check it out again when it comes back to Florida.

Ok for kids but very "whatever" and forgettable for adults. Ok if you live close and not much else to do but we drove 2 hours to get to the show.

  • It was good

by Funnyryan on 7/15/14Tampa Bay Times Forum - TampaRating: 5 out of 5

My son had a ball and we would go again. Vending was a little pricey but besides that we had a ball. It could have been a little longer. My son wasn't ready to go. Maybe next time they can had some play areas for kids after the show.

  • Disappointing but probably great for little kids

by BAHECA on 7/15/14Tampa Bay Times Forum - TampaRating: 3 out of 5

My boyfriend is a huge Marvel fan (I'm a fan too, but not as big of one as he is) so we got tickets after he watched some behind the scenes stuff and was super excited about the show. Overall, it was probably really great for little kids. It seemed like the ones around us were having a good time. The young adults, including us, didn't have as great a time though. The play fighting was just really bad sometimes and we were really disappointed with Iron Man. Also, I agree with another reviewer when they said they need to work on their timing. Thor's hammer seemed like it was never on cue. I was also disappointed with the fact it was all voice-over. It became very obvious about half way through because the timing was all off. Spiderman was the best part of this show I think. His acrobatics were really cool. If you have kids, I think it will be worth it to go see this show. If you're a young adult then don't waste your money.

  • Marvel Universe Live

by TRLo on 7/15/14Tampa Bay Times Forum - TampaRating: 4 out of 5

Marvel Universe Live is a unique experience. I am 30-years old, and attended the show with my fiance. For perspective, both of us are huge nerds, who regularly attend conventions and even dress up in cosplay. The show itself is most definitely targeted to young children. The plot and dialogue are not complex, and even ventures into just plain silly at times; this show is a masterpiece of cheesy one-liners. But the production value will keep adults entertained as well. The stunts and fx were very fun to watch, and there was an undeniable magic in seeing all these comic characters together in one venue, the likes of which the recent movies cannot provide. All in all, this is a great show for parents who have comic-book and movie enthused kids, or who are looking for a great way to introduce their kids to the fantasies of their own childhoods for the first time. Also, any die hard Marvel comics fans out there will get a kick out of seeing this spectacle unfold; it's very much like watching a live-action Saturday morning cartoon. If you're only a casual fan of the comic book based films that have come out in recent years, this show probably isn't for you.

  • Marvel Universe Live was kinda cheesy

by bashfulrae on 7/15/14Tampa Bay Times Forum - TampaRating: 1 out of 5

The prices for merchandise and snacks was outrageous. $6.00 for a bottle of coke-SERIOUSLY!! The show itself I really felt let down. The motorcycle acts I've seen better on America's got talent. Most of the outfits were fine, but Hulk's outfit was just plain funny. The guy could hardly walk in it, could have been so much better. The fight scenes were so fake, the conversations were cheesy. I would not go again, or take my kids. Really bummed! A huge marvel/dc comic family, and this was a let down. The best part was getting moved from the 300 section to the 200's, so thanks for that.

  • Marvel Universe Live is a must see

My son is still talking about this show 3 days later. We'll likely attend the Orlando or Jacksonville show when it comes back to FL. Highly recommended for families.

Exciting, action heroes versus villans! Lots of audience interactions and pyrotechnics.

  • A bit lame...only the youngest if fans will feel i

by DjDoc on 7/15/14Tampa Bay Times Forum - TampaRating: 3 out of 5

This was geared for ages 5-8...although effects were somewhat entertaining if your were hoping for movie magic and comic action, you may be disappointed.

Not well produced, acting was out of sync + largely unorganized.

  • Outstanding production!

Not knowing really what to expect, this show absolutely surpassed my expectations. It was an incredible display of action, acrobatics, and visual stimulation. My young son had a blast and the wonder, excitement, and joy in his eyes made it worth it. Thank you for the memories and for a job well done!

As an attraction for the under 10's this show was captivating and held their attention throughout.

The action was great, my 3 yr old loved it! Was a little overpriced but worth it if you can get any kind of discount.
