I have to be upfront-- I have seen Martin more than any other artist, since the 90s to today. And he never fails to deliver an amazing live performance. Each show is different and the creativity with which he approaches each song is special. His voice is a gift, his guitar playing masterful and the set list runs the full range from soul, to gospel, to R&B, to singer-songwriter and more. Also, being paired with KT Tunstall was genius (although I would have loved to hear a song with both of them)-- but simply a wonderful night of music!

All I can say is ….. if you can go see him. GO SEE HIM ! Recording’s and photos don’t do his live performances justice! Amazing voice and super creative on the guitar and vocals!

This was a perfect evening in every way. Martin Sexton was as great as he always is and the Abdo New River Room was very relaxing and comfortable. Good vibes all around.

What a fun and joyful performance by Martin Sexton! His vocal range is huge and his songs are terrific. He kept the audience riveted with funny and touching stories interwoven through his sets, and was highly interactive and engaged with the crowd. This venue was perfect for an intimate setting that still allowed his voice to soar. Everyone left with big smiles and uplifted spirits! It was an outstanding concert.

Martin Sexton is a stellar singer-songwriter and performer! Get your tickets now if he's coming to a stage near you. The only problem was the equipment supplied by the venue, 191 Toole. When he used the main microphone, his voice was quite distorted most of the time which made it impossible to even understand the lyrics. When he briefly used the two other mics, it sounded great. 191 Toole...do us all a favor & replace that microphone!

The man has the voice of an angel…great range and he can evoke a lot of different emotions. His music was very uplifting at a much needed time. If you closed your eyes you would think there was a whole band onstage because of all the layers he creates with his voice and his guitar. What’s talented artist.

Ive been attending this guys shows since 96. Freshly graduated from highschool, he won my heart the first time I heard him live. Tonight's show was like a workshop with it's intimacy. Please make Wilmington a normal spot... So much appreciation to see you in my little town, friend! You're a master.

Martin Sexton is a one man wrecking machine. If you've never had the chance to see him live, do yourself a favor and buy a ticket when he's close.

Martin is always amazing. So many instruments in his voice as he uses his entire space to invent and share his melodies and his storytelling. Martin tells stories both grand and subtle using his sounds, expressions, and lyrics. See him if you can but engage with him as well. The Southern is a great venue. I will return to enjoy the staff, the intimacy, and the chill vibe.

I have seen Martin perform five times in the past 10 years and this performance topped them all. His voice, playing and message seem to have found a new power and that's saying a lot for a musician with his range and talent. Martin, thank you for sharing your gifts with the world. Hallelujah!

Martin Sexton always puts on an amazing show. The Blue Ocean is one of my favorite place to see a show.

If Martin Sexton was just a stellar guitarist, he’d be classified as a genius. If he was just an inventive singer, he would be on the best stages in the world. If he was just a provocative songwriter, his music would be listened to through the generations. But he is all three. And he shines.

Martín never disappoints. The venue was perfect. Acoustics were great. A perfect evening.

Martin Sexton is a musicians musician. Fun from beginning to end. Chris Trapper the opening act and he is a really good singer, songwriter and story teller that had the crowd really engaged. I highly recommend both of these artists.

Neptune fell down on sound/lights and Martin kept his cool, ended his show by just stepping into the audience for encore with Chris Trapper. Love this guy!
