Great venue, but there were serious sound issues

by N on 2/26/20Ludlow Garage Cincinnati - Cincinnati

The venue was fabulous; however, the concert itself was one of the worst that I have seen. There seemed to have been something wrong with Mark's voice. He couldn't sing in his normal voice in much of his vocal range and it was almost painful to listen to. I've listened to his music for decades and was very disappointed in this show, it would have been better to cancel the concert than proceed with this quality of music. Hopefully he had an illness or something that was temporarily impacting his voice.

    Ok, but not great

    by M. S. on 2/25/20Ludlow Garage Cincinnati - Cincinnati

They had trouble with the sound board the whole time. Mark may have had to much to drink as did everyone else. Always running to the bathroom and bar , the crowd. Mark had some good stories and few good songs. I go myself on a regular basis but dad’s first time is his last, he doesn’t want to go back ever. I will by myself.

Awful - sound system was bad and he didn't play many of his

by Lani on 2/25/20Ludlow Garage Cincinnati - Cincinnati

hits weren't played - he Mark was exasperated with the acostics. We had the rudest huge group of people ahead of us, who were constantly putting their big arms around each other and the woman was rubbing the man's head or they were getting up constantly to go get alcohol or bathroom. It was so miserable and I am not an old fuddy duddy. They were oblivious to anyone else - I am 5'2" so you can see what I am saying

    It’s ok

by Rockstar on 2/25/20Ludlow Garage Cincinnati - Cincinnati

The seats we’re comfortable and it’s a nice smaller venue. I was in the third row and people from the back kept coming up and standing in front of me blocking my view. During this the one security guard did nothing. I paid more for my seat and wasn’t appreciative that someone that paid less blocked my view and nothing was done.

    Not what I was expecting

by ALeigh on 2/24/20River City Casino & Hotel - St Louis

For the price we paid I felt like there should of been more singing then talking. I didn’t care that the seats were attached for eachother because if a bigger person was sitting next to you then everyone was sitting on top of eachother

    Mark Chestnutt & Joe Diffie

by Cathy on 2/24/20River City Casino & Hotel - St Louis

What a disappointment! Most of the night Mark Chesnutt and Joe Diffie talked to each other like it was a late night talk show. They only played 5 songs each and talked the rest of the time. People in the audience began shouting out the songs they wanted Mark Chestnutt to sing. When he wasn't singing he was drinking from his red solo cups; I think he was drunk! And when Joe Diffie did his final song we thought Mark would continue his show but he got up and walked off stage. We didn't even get an encore song from either. What a waste of my money!

    Didn’t play all the hits

by Karen on 2/24/20River City Casino & Hotel - St Louis

Concert was great. Fun to see them interact with each other. But we were disappointed they didn’t play 2 of their biggest hits, “Bubba Shot the Jukebox” and “Prop me up Beside the Jukebox”. They could have talked a little less and fit those songs in.

    Little disappointed

    by C. W. on 2/24/20River City Casino & Hotel - St Louis

Joe Diffee was really good, a little disappointed in Mark Chestnut and wanted them to talk less and play more songs. Loved the venue and the casino and hope to see more shows in the future there.

    Short and mostly talk

by Ted on 2/24/20River City Casino & Hotel - St Louis

The concert was only 1 hour 30 minutes for 2 singers. They mostly talked to each other and the audience. You go to a concert for singing not talking. Extremely disappointed especially considering the cost of the tickets. You expect a show not a conversation.

    Disappointing show

by 20budman on 2/24/20River City Casino & Hotel - St Louis

Been a big fan of both Mark Chestnut and Joe Diffie for years and have spent time looking at some of their live performances on YouTube. I’ve always enjoyed the covers that they do and was hoping to see that in the show. The show was informal and more like a jam session, which I enjoyed. They did some of the covers I was hoping for and their interaction with each other was entertaining. The problem was that they didn’t do very many songs! They left out several of their hits playing probably less than 10 songs each and the total show being not much over an hour total!?! Then they got up and said good night (like all artists do before coming out for one or two encores) but they meant it! Good night! It was over?!?! Everyone in the lobby afterward was complaining about the same thing! Overall, I will save the time and money if given the opportunity to see this show again.

    Mehhhhh

by Paul on 2/24/20River City Casino & Hotel - St Louis

Too much talking. Not enough singing. Didn’t even sing some of their best songs. Diffie still sounded amazing. Mark not so much.

    Absolutely HORRIBLE

by Mel71 on 2/24/20River City Casino & Hotel - St Louis

What a complete waste of my money!!! Neither of these “singers” can sing anymore. It was the worst “concert” I’ve ever been to! Mark Chestnutt didn’t even sing two of his biggest hits, Bubba shot the jukebox and going through the big D. They sat up there and talked and laughed about things they could come up with off the top of their head. completely pathetic!

    GLAD THEY CHEAP

by BKW on 2/24/20River City Casino & Hotel - St Louis

GREAT VENUE IF THEY WOULD HAVE PLAYED SONGS AND NOT TALKED THE BULK OF THEIR TIME. MARK CHESTNUT DRUNK. DIDN'T PLAY MANY GOOD SONGS THAT THE CROWD WAS EXPECTING. 1.5 HOURS OF MOSTLY TALK AND MINIMAL PLAYING. GLAD TICKETS ONLY $54 NO ENCORE! CROWD WAS DISAPPOINTED AND IT WAS A PACKED HOUSE.

    Enjoyed it !

by Bubba on 2/24/20River City Casino & Hotel - St Louis

Chestnutt and Diffe put on a great show! While I enjoyed the stories and banter, would have loved to hear more songs..... Skipped many of the classics. Show was shorter than normal.

    Not our favorite

by Elrod on 2/24/20River City Casino & Hotel - St Louis

There was too much talk/chat, and not enough singing. We spent over 4 hours in travel time, to hear two great artists talk?? And they were done in 90 minutes. We were very disappointed. Not what we came for.

    Disappointed

by Tracey on 2/24/20River City Casino & Hotel - St Louis

I love Mark Chestnut but they came out and talked a lot and probably only sang a handful of songs each. The concert was less then an hour and a half long for 2 singers! Tickets were way to expensive for that! Event space was perfect- parking was easy, comfortable seats and easy access to bathrooms and drinks.

    Expensive for what you get

by A. on 2/24/20River City Casino & Hotel - St Louis

Funny commentary, you can tell they’ve been friends a long time. They only played about 5 songs each and the show was only an hour and a half max. Not worth the ticket price in my opinion.

    Watching a bad podcast

    by H. P. on 2/24/20River City Casino & Hotel - St Louis

The show only ran 90 minutes and I would bet less than 30 of that included music. Instead, we listened to bad jokes and rambling. There were parts of songs sung and maybe 5 full songs.

Love the 80s and 90s music. And Mark Chestnut and Joe Diffie are great. The arena was full of happy , honky tonking people
