MARISELA IN CONCERT:

Platinum blonde Latin pop sensation Marisela continues to be an icon nearly two decades after her debut, living up to her reputation as the Latin Madonna with racy performances and her signature girly vocal style. Marisela thrilled concertgoers at her 2013 shows, taking the stage in slinky outfits to perform nostalgic hits like "Sin El" and "Mi Problema," and fans can count on another healthy dose of blonde ambition as she hits the road for more tour dates in 2014. 

BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:

Born in Los Angeles to Mexican immigrant parents, Marisela made her album debut at age 18 with Sin El (1984). All ten of the album's songs landed on the charts, catapulting it to platinum sales and cementing its status as one of the most important Latin pop albums of the decade. She continued to release hugely popular albums throughout the '80s and '90s, with fans and critics alike hailing her as Latin music's answer to Madonna. Donning the same platinum coif and racy outfits that made her famous in the '80s, Marisela delighted fans on tour in 2013, fueling anticipation for another round of performances in 2014.

    She was of course late, as that's her reputation. I'd say about 45-50 minutes late. Fortunately, worked out for me because I was running a little late too. However, once she started, it was just the best experience. She's very involved with her fans and everyone sang every single song with her. She sang her greatest hits and I'm so glad I was able to attend her concert. I would definitely go to another one of her concerts! Woohoo! I loved it!

    The show started late, I got good seats in front but i think she could have done better than that. songs were alright. i think it was not worth the $ spent on the tickets. I went to other shows paid less and it lasted longer and they sang good hits.

    Poor sound quality and her performance was also poor. Seemed like she was on stage for first time.. Had a problem with her dress entire show. Very unprofessional. Should have at least had a chorus. Would not recommend. She aung very little n relied on audience to sing for her. Also, show was only 1.50 hrs. Not worth the money paid.

    The sound system was bad, She's always late. The ticket say 7:00pm and she came out at 8:40 pm. I like her music but that was my last show.

    I took my mother who is a fan of Marisela and had high expectations. The first mistake I made was purchasing the No-Line express passes. They weren't necessary. Marisela came on around 8:30 PM and right of the bat the sound from her microphone was muffled and hard to understand. This carried on for most of the show. Her performances were just okay. At one point she brought out a girl and no one knew who she was. The microphone was not clear enough to understand her name. She sang two songs with her. This was disappointing as we paid good money to see someone perform who hadn't performed in a long time, not some random girl. My suggestion to anyone going is to have low expectations and not think you are getting the Marisela sound you are familiar with. Expect a watered down reflection of what she used to be.

    I don't understand why there are so many bad comments! Marisela was unbelievable, she was on time and the event was PERFECT! I was at The Wiltern Yesterday July 1, 2016 and it was one of the best concerts I have ever been too. I would highly recommend Marisela to anybody she is great!!!

    It was my first time goign to a Marisela concert, have been a fan for many years and it was a great experience. I wanted to sing all her songs along with her but also wanted to hear her voice, which is beautiful. I hope she comes back to our city next year!

    Show was scheduled for 8pm but she did not start till 8:45. The band had an extra long instrumental intro before she started. I will give it to her though, when she started the performance was really good. We were just a little disappointed with the length of the show with such a high ticket price especially because there was no opening act.
