Unique viewpoint. Amazing song and dance numbers. I loved it!

  • Loved "Marilyn"

    by Pittsburgh15136 on 6/3/18Paris Theater - Las VegasRating: 5 out of 5

The show was all that was expected of Las Vegas. The acting and singing were top notch. Would have liked to see and hear the whole "Diamonds are a Girl's Best Friend" at the end. Also, the song and dance routine at the end left the story on a happy note following the death scene.

  • A Great Time!!!!

by Cliffordbh on 6/3/18Paris Theater - Las VegasRating: 5 out of 5

Had such an amazing time seeing this show on opening night. If you want Broadway caliber entertainment then this is it. The cast was superb, the story couldn't be more timely. Ruby Lewis is a treat to watch as Marilyn as is the girl who plays Norma Jean. Clever storytelling as you watch two versions of Marilyn during the course of her life interacting with one another. This show has it all. Can't wait to see it again!!!

  • Marilyn! The New Musical

by Zalooloo on 6/2/18Paris Casino - Las VegasRating: 5 out of 5

A fabulous new musical playing at the Paris Casino. Enjoyed every minute of this performance. It is an all-star cast and the four of us in our group all loved it.

  • Less than expected

    by Local2018 on 6/1/18Paris Theater - Las VegasRating: 2 out of 5

Show focused on the sadness in Marilyn's life. Not the good things.

  • Marilyn the Musical (strike the word new)

    by Antym55 on 6/1/18Paris Theater - Las VegasRating: 4 out of 5

The actress portraying the blonde MM is a great singer but not curvey at all & Marilyn was quite curvaceous. The choreography was old school, needs updating. There needs to be a pizzazz show stopping song, at least one, like "Memories" from "Cats"-- unforgettable!

  • Great cast, costumes/wigs, choreography

by Anonymous on 5/31/18Paris Theater - Las VegasRating: 4 out of 5

The cast is AMAZINGLY talented -- great singers and dancers all the way around. However, I didn't feel either younger or older "Marilyn" talked, sang or had the mannerisms of Marilyn. Also, I think they need to pad the Marilyn's bras! They're not busty enough to be believable. I felt the younger "Marilyn" sounded like she was Cosette in Les Miserables and the older "Marilyn" sounded like a finalist on The Voice. Neither looked or sounded like Marilyn Monroe. That was quite disappointing. I also question some of the scene choices and lack of actual musical numbers Marilyn did from her movies. I especially didn't like that they made us wait till the finale for the "Diamonds" number -- and then they didn't even do the whole number! However, the cast was SUPERB. They made the show worth watching because of their talents.

  • What a great show!

We enjoyed the entire cast. The dancing and singing were all top notch and the story of Marilyn Monroe was told in a clear and entertaining way.

  • Preview tough task!

by zantac on 5/29/18Paris Theater - Las VegasRating: 4 out of 5

I was at a preview of the new musical "Marilyn". The play shows a lot of promise, although it is not a blockbuster. First, the actors, their stage presence, and the vocal qualities were all top rate. The problem as I saw it was the "glitches" (mikes not working, sound not turned up in time for several actors, etc) were annoying. The biggest problem was the set..."boring'!! Yet I read in newspaper column that part of the set is still en-route...., so do I see it again?? The title role is played by a tiny firecracker named Ruby Lewis, and she is great, yet my wife was not as positive. Travis Cloer (Frankie Valli in LV Jersey Boys) has a small part and has a great voice. My problem asside from the set is that I did not walk out humming any tune. Am I old-fashioned to expect a musical to have a memorable melody? The producers have to work on the score to make it easier to sing along, and enjoy. Well worth seeing, even just to see what aspects of Marilyn's life these people feel are important enough to memorialize with a play!!

  • Wow

This is going to be one heck of a show! Can’t miss cast and great music winning combination!

  • Sound was terrible with other issues

All tho the life of her was tragic you don’t have to make it all about her life. Actors in show were good. Young lady playing her was good.
