About

Marilyn Manson on Tour

Although a shock-rock persona made Marilyn Manson a target of criticism in the '90s and early '00s, the hard rocker today is a highly respected, Alice Cooper–like figure. That comparison holds for Manson's flamboyant, aggressive music — combining influences from industrial, metal and glam — and flashy live shows, which boast ornate costumes, dizzying light shows and impressive staging. Appropriately enough, Manson toured with Cooper in 2013 on the Masters of Madness Tour, although that trek was simply one of his many well-suited live gig pairings. Back in the '90s, he opened for fellow metallic electro-rockers Nine Inch Nails, while in 2018 and 2019, Manson toured with Rob Zombie on a trek dubbed Twins of Evil. Around his own tours, Manson has also performed at major rock festivals such as Louder Than Life, Aftershock, Download and Rock on the Range.

Marilyn Manson in Concert

Born Brian Warner, Marilyn Manson grew up in Canton, Ohio, and later moved to Florida and studied journalism in college. Life had other plans, though. The aspiring musician formed the group Marilyn Manson & the Spooky Kids in 1989. In 1993, the group signed a record deal with the Trent Reznor–owned Nothing Records, which released the landmark 1994 debut album, Portrait of an American Family. In the years after, Manson was nominated for four Grammy Awards on the way to releasing 1996's alternative-music totem Antichrist Superstar and releasing singles that dabbled in glam ("The Beautiful People"), sludgy grunge ("The Dope Show," a cover of Eurythmics' "Sweet Dreams") and sizzling industrial ("mOBSCENE"). Manson also expanded his empire beyond music, dabbling in art, acting (including on Sons of Anarchy) and soundtrack work. In fact, albums such as 2015's The Pale Emperor even have a cinematic bent, courtesy of a collaboration with noted film composer Tyler Bates.

    The Fall of an Icon

    by KVLT on 12/2/21

MM was much better in the 90's and early 2000's when he was still working with grade A musicians and producers. His aggressive edge has been dulled down & I fear that we will never get another pre "Eat Me, Drink Me" quality album from him ever again.

    The Best

    by j. on 9/15/21

Every time I have seen him in concert Im left feeling 1000 times better then when i did before any of his shows. He always puts on a great show and his vocals are better than the actual tracks. I am hoping he will go on tour again soon.

    Manson Phoning it in

by Disappointed Fan on 12/30/19Pearl Concert Theater at Palms Casino Resort - Las Vegas

The opening act felt cheap and untalented. 1 hour of the same loop played over and over. This girl was a bad copy of Marylin Manson. Whatever, it's the opening act and obviously management didn't care or want to spend the money for something good. Next came Manson. Late of course but in rockstar cliche mode, that's to be expected I guess. What I did not expect what a performance that at best can be described as "phoning it in". Sad because his backing band was there and played very well. The weak link was Marilyn Manson himself. As a fan I thought I'd never say this but yeah, I can't excuse it. He seemed to complain about Vegas not treating him right. Boo hoo. He's getting paid pretty good money to perform in spite of his dated antics and visuals stuck in the 90s. I will save my money in the future and go see performers that respect their fans.

Not a fan of HOB Anaheim

by BG on 11/5/19House of Blues Anaheim presented by Cricket Wireless - Anaheim

Manson did a good job. Too bad the event was over-sold. Not a good place to see a band. Imagine a giant shoe box. The back 1/3 you can’t see (I am 6’ tall) because it is obstructed by the second level. It took over an hour to get out of the parking structure. If your fav artist is playing somewhere else, go there.

    The Beautiful People ...

by Love 2 Boat on 11/5/19House of Blues Anaheim presented by Cricket Wireless - Anaheim

If you like MM then you liked the show. Solid show all the way through. Loved seeing the act in a small venue like HOB Anaheim. We had hoped for a bit of a longer set but still left happy in the end.

Manson Kills It Every Time !!!!!

by T. A. on 11/5/19House of Blues Anaheim presented by Cricket Wireless - Anaheim

This was the first time I have been to the new new location for HOB Anaheim. Manson, as always, puts on a killer show. I liked this smaller venue & there wasn't a bad seat (standing) in the house !!!!!

    Short

by Terminator on 11/5/19House of Blues Anaheim presented by Cricket Wireless - Anaheim

First the security getting in sucks. Watched them make a girl use her asthma inhaler to prove that’s what it was. Second as usual they oversell this venue. And third Marilyn cut his show short. It appeared he was under the influence. Only getting a one hour performance and had to be helped off stage from band member.

11/2/2019 Marilyn Manson at House of Blues Anaheim

by J. W. on 11/5/19House of Blues Anaheim presented by Cricket Wireless - Anaheim

I didn't really enjoy this concert. Marilyn Manson was great and sounded awesome but I would not see him again at the House of Blues. It was a sold out show and it was extremely crowded at the venue. I wasn't able to find a spot where I could actually see the stage. I also wasn't able to find a place to stand where I was able to listen to the music without constantly being stepped on or pushed around by people trying to move through the crowd. Before the show started, I went to the VIP booth to see about upgrading my tickets. I was told the seats on the second level were sold out unless I was with a big party. They offered me a place to stand on the second level for an additional $75 a ticket. No thanks.

    Just ok

by ChristyCA on 11/5/19House of Blues Anaheim presented by Cricket Wireless - Anaheim

I have seen him several times and the shows were all amazing. This show was just ok. There was something off with the roadies and the band. After almost every song they stopped and checked things with flashlights. It wasn’t the normal smooth Manson show. He played a short ser just a little over an hour.

Amazing Concert & Amazing Customer Service.

by Stephen M. on 11/4/19Pearl Concert Theater at Palms Casino Resort - Las Vegas

Forgot my mailed to my door tickets for this show back in Canada. Called Ticketmaster and Poof, along with my ID and Confirmation # they had my tickets ready at the service counter at the venue the Palms. Service counter was amazingly easy to deal with and they helped save the day! About the concert.....I am 41 years old and have seen many concerts in my years of life thus far. I LOVED Marilyn Mansons show, it was energy filled and he sounded amazing as he does on his albums. He uses NO voice effects and pulls his vocals off perfectly. He played for over 2 hours and I have never seen an artist play 4 songs for their fans when they are supposed to be finished the show. He loves the fans and it is easy to tell. The fans love him also and his *Destroy the Systematic and Repressive System* songs.
