About

Marilyn Manson on Tour

Although a shock-rock persona made Marilyn Manson a target of criticism in the '90s and early '00s, the hard rocker today is a highly respected, Alice Cooper–like figure. That comparison holds for Manson's flamboyant, aggressive music — combining influences from industrial, metal and glam — and flashy live shows, which boast ornate costumes, dizzying light shows and impressive staging. Appropriately enough, Manson toured with Cooper in 2013 on the Masters of Madness Tour, although that trek was simply one of his many well-suited live gig pairings. Back in the '90s, he opened for fellow metallic electro-rockers Nine Inch Nails, while in 2018 and 2019, Manson toured with Rob Zombie on a trek dubbed Twins of Evil. Around his own tours, Manson has also performed at major rock festivals such as Louder Than Life, Aftershock, Download and Rock on the Range.

Marilyn Manson in Concert

Born Brian Warner, Marilyn Manson grew up in Canton, Ohio, and later moved to Florida and studied journalism in college. Life had other plans, though. The aspiring musician formed the group Marilyn Manson & the Spooky Kids in 1989. In 1993, the group signed a record deal with the Trent Reznor–owned Nothing Records, which released the landmark 1994 debut album, Portrait of an American Family. In the years after, Manson was nominated for four Grammy Awards on the way to releasing 1996's alternative-music totem Antichrist Superstar and releasing singles that dabbled in glam ("The Beautiful People"), sludgy grunge ("The Dope Show," a cover of Eurythmics' "Sweet Dreams") and sizzling industrial ("mOBSCENE"). Manson also expanded his empire beyond music, dabbling in art, acting (including on Sons of Anarchy) and soundtrack work. In fact, albums such as 2015's The Pale Emperor even have a cinematic bent, courtesy of a collaboration with noted film composer Tyler Bates.

  • Great Show

by AG in AZ on 10/1/25The Van Buren - PhoenixRating: 5 out of 5

I've seen Marilyn 3 times this past year, and this show was the best by far! The smaller venue provided a more interactive experience - fr those crowd surfing and others trying to push their way to the front (not happening...haha). 10 out of 10!

  • Hell Yea!

by tragikzombie on 10/1/25The Van Buren - PhoenixRating: 5 out of 5

I was treated with respect and kindness by all staff at venue. Concert was awesome!!! Manson played a lot of older music that really gave me nostalgia and joy. One of top life experiences for me! I waited 30 years to see Manson in concert, and don't regret it.

  • Solid sampling of old and new

September 28, 2025 | The Van Buren | Phoenix, AZ | Marilyn Manson - I ranked Marilyn Manson’s latest release, “One Assassination Under God”, at #5 in my Top Ten Rock Albums of 2024. For years, the band has circled the edges of my Rock & Roll journey but never landed at the center. The reputation for spectacle often overshadowed their credibility as serious artists. Yet their debut album was released in 1994. Three decades and 12 studio albums later, I finally caught my first live show right here in my hometown. With 30 years of history, five Grammy nominations, and more than 60 industry nods, Marilyn Manson deserves more recognition than mainstream headlines often allow. That the tour landed at The Van Buren (a small and intimate local venue) was a gift. For first-timers like me, it was a rare chance to see a veteran act up close. The setlist balanced old staples with highlights from the new record. And when the music wasn’t enough, Manson’s wardrobe shifts kept the energy unpredictable and were highlighted by a turquoise fur coat that felt like a sly nod to the desert’s Native American spirit. The show ran a brisk 80 minutes. On a Sunday night with an early Monday ahead, the timing felt just right. It was a sharp, concentrated dose of a band that has proven its staying power across generations. Marilyn Manson may have started as a shock act, but what I saw Sunday was a career artist still pushing forward. A great live, cold plunge into a future Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame Inductee. #MarilynManson #RockAndRoll #RNRNFP #TheVanBuren

  • Refocused and Energized Return

by DannnnyD on 9/29/25Fillmore Auditorium (Denver) - DenverRating: 4 out of 5

Full transparency, I was conflicted about attending this show. MM is one of my favorite artists but Brian Warner’s character is questionable. Despite my trepidation, I decided to check out the show and was blown away by what I saw. I’ve seen MM live in upwards of 20x and it’s been hit or miss. The shows where he’s straight and sober never disappoint; when he’s not…less so. I believe he’s keenly aware of that on this “redemption tour” and as a result he was so sharp and focused on putting on a damn good show. The setlist was exceptional including multiple tracks from my two favorites—Mechanical Animals and Golden Age of Grotesque—so I was a happy camper. And he seemed more enthused to perform some of his classics. I felt like he wants to earn his audience back instead of taking us for granted as he has in the past. I’m still not sure how I feel about him as a person—but as an artist, he’s never sounded better.

  • Great Experience!

    by Say10love3 on 9/29/25Fillmore Auditorium (Denver) - DenverRating: 5 out of 5

This was the #1 concert on my bucket list and Marilyn Manson did not disappoint! My aunts took me to the concert and everything from the Fillmore venue to the sets were amazing. I tried really hard to get VIP but it didn't seem like there were many options for that. Coma White never disappoints and Dope Show had us all singing. Thank you!

  • Absolutely wonderful!

Absolutely wonderful! I love Marilyn Manson personally, he always has a great show! I brought my partner who wasn't expecting him to be any good was very highly impressed! (as I knew he would) Even after the show my partner told me he definitely wanted to see him again! We showed up early, got a great view of my idol! I would definitely suggest coming here again!!! Also great light show and performance!

  • Excellent show!

by Longtime fan on 9/28/25Fillmore Auditorium (Denver) - DenverRating: 5 out of 5

This was an incredible show! He still has it! He had good stamina & stage presence, he sounded amazing, the effects (lighting/pyro/set etc) was amazing!! I'm so glad I got to see as much of his set as I did, unfortunately about halfway through his set I fell pretty ill & they made us leave early (that's not their fault, since there were no seats they worried about me & I get that) 😭

by JenX on 9/28/25Fillmore Auditorium (Denver) - DenverRating: 5 out of 5

Really enjoyed the show! Manson was awesome as well as the rest of the band. Great set list as well, new stuff mixed with older stuff- it was so cool to be there for the first time No Funeral Without Applause was ever played. Been a fan for over 30 years and I’ll never stop supporting him!

  • great show

by AnaK on 9/28/25Fillmore Auditorium (Denver) - DenverRating: 4 out of 5

The show itself was great! Getting in was not. We had assigned seats, but didn’t see the fast line entrance for quite some time. So many people, and we couldn’t find event staff to help. After entering, we had trouble finding our seats, but the staff member we eventually found was very helpful. The venue looked to be way over sold. General admission people were crammed in every aisle. Love Manson, though!

  • Great concert and venue, merch system sucks

by Will on 9/28/25Fillmore Auditorium (Denver) - DenverRating: 4 out of 5

I love the Fillmore! Always clean, great sound and lights, food and drinks are good and reasonably priced, but the merch system completely sucks. There’s no good reason to stand in line, to scan a QR code to get in a digital line, then wait for text to go get in line again. Just tedious and frustrating.
