Mariachi Vargas was Outstanding!!! Music to the ear and heart!!! Going again in 2010. BRAVO, five star plus!!!

They did not play as well as the past 3 years; It seems that the economy is affecting them, I will never pay to see them again.

Mariachi Vargas bar far IS "El Mejor Mariachi en todo El Mundo!" These gentlemen put on one heck of a show. All the old songs that they sand reminded me of my grandfather. I could not help but shed a few tears when I heard them sing many of the songs that my grandfather sang as I was growing up. It was incredibly awesome!!!!!!!!!!

Every year it seems to top the last. We enjoyed it tremendously. Mexican music is our favorite and it is good to know that the next generation will make it continue.

Wow, what can I say.the very best in mexican culture music.

As always, an excellent show. Wonderful format showcasing up and coming groups as well as college level and even elementary/middle school. This is an outstanding forum for teaching as well as showcasing. And then there's Mariachi Vargas for the finale. The group plays 10-15 songs non stop! Introduces the next set and music for another 30 minutes straight! They played pretty much non-stop for over 2 hours. Interaction with the audience is delightful. What impressed us most, was the number of youngsters attending/enjoying the show. Gives us older folk joy to know that this important aspect of our culture will continue for generations. You can see the joy and happiness every member has from being in the group.

the concert was excellent. the mariachi was the best I have heard. Their interaction with the crowd was enjoyable.

did not feel the traditional gusto and ganas of years past. The desire for the traditional grito was mostly hit and miss.

The performance was exceptional! The performers were having a great time interacting with the audience. Mariachi Vargas always delivers an outstanding performance and this time was no exception.

Mariachi Vargas was amazing! They did not fail to entertain or impress the audience. Loved it. Will go to their concert next year!

Oversee all, the concert was very good. This is the second time which I have had the opportunity to see this band in concert and was not disappointed. To me, the first concert was better but that was due to their playing of songs which I had grown up with. this concert displayed more of their new music. Overall, amazing playing skills and voices.

As always, Mariachi Vargas gave me a wonderful evening. i have been their fan for many years and never get tired of enjoying their artistry!

the opening show was great the young mariachi mecca, hermosura and the young singers, selina, esteban and virginia were sensational they all have a great future in mariachi music. Then the main event the mariachi vargas was amazing, every single one of them is a double threat , they all play their instrument and sing very well. I would recommend to anyone who wants to see a real mexican tradition EL MARIACHI.

First Mariachi concert I attended and it was much better than what I had anticipated it would be!

great band, they have wonderful charisma and they interact with the audience. Great enthusiam and above all Wonderful music!! I love seeing them every time :)

I loved the show but next time I will try to get lower seats.

I took my parents for their anniversary. My father is a big fan of this genre, but after attending this concert, I am too. I think it is also great that they are encouraging young people to get involved with Mariachi music. Although I enjoyed that portion of the program, it would have been great to have had another professional group tour with Mariachi Vargas.

The show was a true display of traditional mariachi music by people who have dedicated themselves to preserving a rich Mexican tradition. The show opened with a local group followed by a national high school champion group from San Antonio. Their vocals were simply amazing. This a was a good family event especially for those wanting to display traditional music to younger people. I would definitely recommend this type of show to anyone with a love for the musical arts and Mexican heritage.
