    Kinda Disappointed

by Critic on 11/7/23SACRAMENTO MEMORIAL AUDITORIUM - Sacramento

Well throughout the show there were several instances where there were issues with the sound, either too loud, too low, or the microphone would not work at all and the singers had to change microphones themselves. The fun part for me was the folclórico dancers. They kept the audience engaged. Towards the end when the all men mariachi group came on, it was clearly evident that people were not interested and several people began to walk out. There needs to be a lot more effort with production, more dancers while the mariachis are singing. I needed up leaving early as-well. I probably won’t go to the next week because I was left not amazed.

    Underwhelming

by Ninja on 11/6/23SACRAMENTO MEMORIAL AUDITORIUM - Sacramento

Needed to perform more popular songs that the majority of folks are familiar with.

    Desabrido

by Tlaloc on 11/3/23SACRAMENTO MEMORIAL AUDITORIUM - Sacramento

I’ve never left a mariachi program as dissatisfied as this “festival.” 1} The program started nearly an hour late. 2) The greater part of the first half was taken up with folkloric dancers, which were really good, but are not mariachi groups. 3) The second mariachi performers “Ellas” performed hillbilly country music from Louisiana - whaaat? I paid to see and hear real mariachi canciones, not country western sounds en ingles. 4) The sound was poorly controlled. It was so loud everyone in my group had their fingers in their ears the entire time. And we were upstairs toward the back of the auditorium. 5) The air conditioning was poorly controlled. It was freezing and very uncomfortable in there. 6) My group of 3 decided at intermission we’d had enough and left very disappointed. We won’t be back for another so-called mariachi festival by this promoter.

    Too long to get in

by AJ on 11/2/23SACRAMENTO MEMORIAL AUDITORIUM - Sacramento

Great music. The start time was given at 4:00, but because screening did not start until 4;00 music did not start until 5. Screening should have started at least by 3;30.. The line to get in was too long. They needed more screening stations.

    Dynamic and Entertaining

by Yolanda on 11/2/23SACRAMENTO MEMORIAL AUDITORIUM - Sacramento

Me and 7 others had the pleasure of attending Festival de Mariachi at the Memorial Auditorium. This was the BEST Mariachi festival I have attended. We loved it and enjoyed all the entertainment. Every single performer were outstanding with sooo much talent! It was awesome to see a new genre Mariachi trio ELLA, what a treat! So entertaining. Mariachi Bonitas were outstanding as usual and so impressive with their singers and experienced musicians. My friends and family were entertained to the fullest, and what a nice touch with the Ballet Florkorico, never-ending entertainment.

Too long and saved the best for last

by Dee on 11/2/23SACRAMENTO MEMORIAL AUDITORIUM - Sacramento

The Mariachi bands were great but the sound system could’ve been better and the female mariachi bands, except for Ellas, went on too long and the make band who I really wanted to hear were last in the lineup and we couldn’t stay for the entire show. 4-5 hour show is a bit long.

    Loved it anyway

by QUETA on 11/1/23SACRAMENTO MEMORIAL AUDITORIUM - Sacramento

We went last year and the sound system at the civic center was by far more superior than this venue. Visually not that great, the lighting was not that great. We were not notified of time change of show, I had my elderly family with me and the delay was a burden. We bought the parking pass and we were charged more money even though our ticket said good for two hours after event ended, we did not linger. The theater was very cold.

    Front row disappointed

by La Señora Moreno on 11/1/23SACRAMENTO MEMORIAL AUDITORIUM - Sacramento

My son bought front row tickets and there was equipment on the stage that blocked part of our view. We were very disappointed that no one took the time to look at the view from the audience. Will not attend next year if at the Memorial Auditorium!
