About

GRAMMY® Award-nominated songwriter, vocalist, multi-instrumentalist, and producer Wolfgang Van Halen continues to separate Mammoth from the pack. The music stands alone on a foundation anchored by his impressive sonic proficiency (across drums, bass, keys, and guitar) and airtight arena-size hooks with unforgettable vocals. He harbors an irresistible signature sound, inventive vision, and incomparable identity vaunted by a fervent global fanbase. For as unique as the music is, his story so far proves to be just as unprecedented. This is arguably the first hard rock act to genuinely break out from ground zero in the 2020's, generating north of 100 million streams, toppling charts, and selling out headline tours less than five years since its debut. Back in 2021, Mammoth's first offering, Mammoth WVH, took flight, bowing at #12 on the Billboard 200 and capturing #1 on three Billboard charts--Top Hard Rock Albums, Top Independent Albums, and Top Rock Albums. "Distance" soared as the first of two #1 Rock Radio Hits and earned a GRAMMY® Award nomination for "Best Rock Song." Two years later, Mammoth II only saw him pick up the pace. It debuted in the Top 5 of the Billboard Top Album Sales Chart in addition to bringing him back to #1 on the Top Hard Rock Albums Chart. It incited widespread applause from Rolling Stone, Guitar World, GRAMMY.com, Classic Rock, American Songwriter, and KERRANG! The band canvased the globe with Metallica and Pantera and supported Foo Fighters in North America as well as filling houses on their own. They performed on ABC's Jimmy Kimmel LIVE!, at MusiCares 2024 gala in honor of Jon Bon Jovi, and Wolf took the stage at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame® Induction of Ozzy Osbourne. Now, Wolfgang pushes forward on Mammoth's third full-length solo LP, The End [BMG].

  • Really good show

by Bob H on 8/10/21House of Blues Cleveland - ClevelandRating: 5 out of 5

The House of Blues is our favorite venue in the city. The shows always sound good, we love being able to head in and out of the restaurant while at the venue, and the setup/sight lines are great at this venue. Mammoth WVH, and opener Plush, were both excellent and the crowd was really into both. What a great way to get back to some live music after the longest stretch (about 18 months) in the last 35 years of my life without seeing a live show in person thanks to COVID. The weirdest thing is that show 35 years ago that hooked me forever was the Van Halen 5150 tour in July of 1986, and my first show back after the longest break during that time was another Van Halen family member. Crazy, but true! Lets hope the shows keep rollin, looking forward to many, many more!!!

Mammoth WVH rocked the stage! Every song was beyond amazing to hear live. The venue was awesome! Really looking forward to future music that this band brings to the table.

Opening band Plush was a great surprise, very talented band, really enjoyed them. Mammorh was absolutely amazing, sounded great, crowd interaction was very good, it was an honor to see them in a small venue before they are only playing arenas.

Great sound at House of Blues. Wolfie and band were very tight and solid, and they look to be enjoying their tour and adding new songs when they can.

  • Opening for Guns in Detroit.

    by M. on 8/9/21Rating: 5 out of 5

I knew going in that his album was one of the best I've heard in the last decade. That being said I had no idea that he (they) would kill it live the way they did. Other than, obviously Wolfgang, the drummer was incredible! Will never miss him in Detroit again. HUGE fan now, my kids fricking loved him to btw, 9&14

  • Guns n Roses Concert with Mammoth WVH

    by Kim G. on 8/1/21Rating: 5 out of 5

Opening band Mammoth was great. They have a ways to go but I think they will make it all the way to the top. The next day we looked up what the WVH stood for… Rock Royalty. Does Wolfgang Van Halen ring a bell? Yes!!! Eddie Van Halen’s son. Worth the ticket price. And we won’t make that mistake again. New album already downloaded. Oh, GNR killed it….!
