Maluma on Tour
Maluma is his own one-man show, a breakout star who successfully has married Colombia's nonstop tropical pulse with the swagger of reggaeton, adding a dash of romance for good measure. As one of the world's top urban Latino stars, he's (at least) a triple threat — a vastly talented singer, composer, and dancer who is also a judge and coach on La Voz Kids Colombia.
Maluma's live shows are, simply put, fire. Imagine a male Shakira, and you're halfway there. He brings the audience into the performance throughout, changing up beloved hits by slowing or speeding the tempo, or even transforming a song into salsa. He sold out Madison Square Garden in 2018, and his tours include the 2019 F.A.M.E. Tour as well as his first global headlining tour, 2016-17's Pretty Boy/Dirty Boy World Tour, which took him to Asia, Europe, Africa, and North America as well as Latin America.
Maluma Background
Maluma was born Juan Luis Londoño Arias in Medellín, Colombia, in 1994. He grew up playing soccer religiously, but he always showed an aptitude for music, winning a singing contest in 10th grade and officially writing his first song at 15.
When his uncle gifted him with studio time for his 16th birthday, a team of producers unexpectedly offered him the chance to record a full album. Their one condition was that he'd have to find a catchier name, so Juan Luis took the first two letters of his mother's, father's, and sister's first names, and "Maluma" was born.
Fresh out of high school, he launched his first single, "Farandulera," in 2011. He signed to Sony and debuted his first album, Magia, a year later. It was certified gold in Colombia, and Maluma began cleaning up at awards shows, winning both Shock and MTV Europe awards for Best New Artist.
His chart-topping 2013 single "La Temperatura" opened even more doors, and major collaborations followed: "Desde Esa Noche" with Thalía, "Chantaje" with Shakira, and "Vente Pa'Ca" with Ricky Martin, among many others. His next album, 2015's Pretty Boy, Dirty Boy, launched numerous hits and soared to the top of the charts, as did the 2018 follow-up F.A.M.E. In addition to rocking global audiences with his sweet reggaeton/pop/tropical mélange, Maluma also fights racism and is an outspoken champion of LGBTQ rights.
The show was awesome and meeting him was just grand . He is very humble and down to earth. My seats and everyone was so nice and really got into the show. He is a wonderful performer and I can't wait to do it again. The stage is awesome but not over done with performance the flows.
I LOVE MALUMA AT HAMMERSTEIN BALLROOM. It was incredibly intimate. He looked like he was having a great time singing for us and New York loved him back. I hope that he returns for another encore concert. It was sold out and for good reason. He was absolutely perfect. Loved that he took up fans on stage with him. He sang beautifully in Spanish and it was worth every dollar. Would I go back to see him without an opening act or someone he is touring with? Probably not, but I wouldn't be discouraged from seeing him again or telling other people to see him live.

We had to wait 3 hrs for a 3 sec pic with Maluma. No pictures / phones allowed during meet and greet. No autograph as described with the VIP package. The concert started at least 1.5 hrs after the time scheduled to start. No seats or at least a division between VIP and general admission so when the concert started everybody started to push everyone to get to the front and even not VIP people managed to stand before us. Low class people with no manners fighting / pushing. Worst concert experience ever, not worth what we paid for just to suffer for hrs and get treated like general admission. We left after the third song , best decision of the night!
Got a great view of Maluma . Danced the night away literally and the line moved fast enough to get in the building.

Terrible, people are all up on me , they were pushing and shoving. It was just not the apporpriate scenery for the artist. Very dissapointed i barley got to enjoy the show because i was more worried that i wasnt going to get knocked to the ground the whole night.

The show was really good but started way too early! It was also really short! It only lasted about 1 hour! No worth the money! I wish he preform at least for 1 hour and a half

He came in late and the show only lasted an hour and a half. Didn't sing many songs. The majority of the time was taken by DJ and entertaining the crowd.
I just loved everything about this concert, the way he connected with the audience and made everyone want to sing and dance all night long. Would definitely see him again. Had great seats too!
