  • Great variety show!

    We traveled 3 1/2 hours for the show (along with lunch out and shopping) and were very pleased. Two parents and two college-age children found much to enjoy. Pure intstrumentals are not my favorite, but in combination with the dancing groups and singing groups we were all happy. I realized only when arriving and reading the program that so many children would be involved, I was skeptical about the quality of the upcoming entertainment, but those kids were fantastic! And hearing the symphony live was marvelous--good enough that we just might make the trip to hear the symphony on its own. My only groan applies to the figurative joining of Santa and Jesus at the end, but I'm sure it was geared to the kids present

    Orchestra was wonderful and I enjoyed the combination with the area youth performers (singers, dancers, instrumentalists). The show was also visually stimulating. I will be back next year!

    I didn't know what to expect when I bought these tickets. I could not have been more pleased. Every song was done to perfection. The selections were uplifting and fun. The local talented youth performers were unbelievable....and with the Albany Symphony Orchestra backing them up you couldn't go wrong. And a visit by Santa...the children in the audience were so excited. Great job all around! Thanks for making my holiday enjoyable.

    This was a very entertaining and diverse show with lots of talent.Great for youngsters to encourage the arts

    The Magic of Christmas Show at the Palace Theater was a great holiday treat. A time for the whole community to come together and celebrate both the talent of the local symphony and the talented childred of the Capital District Youth Chorale along with other young people like the All Saints Church Boys Choir, and girl's Irish line dancers.
