    Not loud enough

by Dimnsionofsound on 9/13/16Greek Theatre-U.C. Berkeley - Berkeley

The lineup was decent but in the lowest area in front of the stage, the sound, especially the mids and highs, were not loud enough to dominate the talk of the crowd. Only once I walked above the sound guys, up the stairs to the seats, did everything sound a little clearer, though even then it was much less loud than other concerts I've been to. Measured with a calibrated iPhone SPL meter, the sound came in around 86 dB SPL, A -weighted. I understand that the venue probably doesn't want to cause hearing damage since the concert is 6 hours long but most people I know did not stay for nearly the entire 6 hours, and anyway, those worried about it can use earplugs and still feel the bass, if everything was turned up higher.

    Pretty damn fun

    by Tylerman989 on 9/13/16Greek Theatre-U.C. Berkeley - Berkeley

The only thing i have bad to say is... THE DAMN SOUND!!!! it wasnt loud enough! The greek is my fav place and this is prolly the lowest volume compared to other concerts. Better not be like that next year.

Super fun with a few issues!

    by 420Josh420 on 9/13/16Greek Theatre-U.C. Berkeley - Berkeley

The show was amazing and as always the DJs are all very talented however until the last two headliners the volume was quiet my friends and I (who were standing in front) could not even hear the drops which led to the entire crowd sort of standing around awkwardly. The DJs would yell something into the mics (probably "getcho f***in hands up!") and everyone would just look at eachother and shrug because we all could not hear. Also for a MD block party I would expect way better sound quality and way better practical effects. (NO CONFETTI NO LASERS NO FIRE OR ANYTHING?!)

    Epicness

    by 23Nelly on 9/13/16Greek Theatre-U.C. Berkeley - Berkeley

Besides the weird "Take off your shoes check" and the "Cash Only" for drinks and food, everything else was AWESOME!

    A great first rave

by colefen on 8/28/16Revolution Live - Ft Lauderdale

Good headliners, good weather, lots of madness. This event does not allow CAMEL BACKS, PLUR BEADS or GoPros/GoPoles. This was extremely inconvenient and unnecessary. Getting in I was required to remove my shoes, socks, and not a part of me wasn't touched by a thorough pat down. At some point Diplo and OWSLA are going to have to realize that entering an event isn't supposed to be like entering a prison. The main stage was stacked, my personal performances of interest were Brillz, Keys n Krates and Dillon Francis. This year the main stage opened on time (last year it didn't start until 5:30 cutting a set by JAUZ short) and there was another stage inside Revolution Live. This helped with clutter since the venue is a bit small for it's taste. I went to this with a few friends who had never been to a rave and they loved it, I am moving on from small events and probably will not return but if you are a raver under the age of 18, new to the EDM spectrum, or are just trying to have a fun day with some classic head banging music, this is the event for you.

An amazing afternoon into night. Great sets with quick changeover. The heat was intense but the music distracted me from it.

    Save your money stay home

    by DEB50T on 8/17/16MCU Park - Brooklyn

What a hot mess of a festival- first of all you had to take your shoes and socks off to go through security - eww the dirty street! Kesha was the highlight of the day- but security was hosing people with water right in their faces -damaging people's electronic cell phones and cameras.

mad decent block party was AWFUL

by pissedoffcustomer1 on 8/17/16Festival Pier (at Penn's Landing) - Philadelphia

they had hoses on trying to keep the audience cool, which was nice, HOWEVER they had the hoses on spraying people's faces the entire night. my phone now has water damage and my phone was wrapped in a bandana in my purse, secured. couldn't even take pictures with my phone due to the people spraying people down with hoses. I tried moving to different spots to avoid the hoses but there wasn't any avoiding. I even asked the security if they could do something and they didn't. a little ticked off that I paid $65 just to get sprayed in the face by a hose and have a broken phone.

    Diplo proves he's the best

by SaraDulo on 8/16/16Festival Pier (at Penn's Landing) - Philadelphia

This show was amazing. All the dj's were great and over all it was a lot of fun. None of my friends are into edm so i ended up going by myself, which I would NOT recommend especially if you're a girl (like myself ) everyone is either on drugs, drunk, or both. Guys were just coming up behind me and starting to dance with me, ( I mean this in the most un-conceited way) Which really sucked because over all I had lot of fun, that was the only annoying thing. So I definitely recommend going, just go with friends!!!!

    Meh

by mrd5066 on 8/16/16Festival Pier (at Penn's Landing) - Philadelphia

Diplo was sweet. The rest of the line up (what we made it out into the heat to see) was uneventful. Overall not a great lineup for the Philly, hometown show for Diplo. Also, for the love of God, make these things 21+ already
