About

Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania rapper Mac Miller is quickly making a name for himself in the up-and-coming hip-hop community with his eclectic and inventive rhymes and throwback sound. Born Malcolm James McCormick in 1992, Miller taught himself bass, drums, guitar and piano, as well as becoming an accomplished producer under the alias Larry Fisherman. In early 2010, Miller signed with Pittsburgh-based Rostrum Records and released his debut album Blue Slide Park in November 2011, debuting at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 even though it was put out completely independently. Ticket holders caught him on two tours with supporting acts Casey Veggies and The Cool Kids, before opening shows for 2012’s Under the Influence of Music tour headlined by Wiz Khalifa. His sophomore album Watching Movies with the Sound Off was released in June 2013, with guest spots from Ab-Soul, Schoolboy Q and Tyler, the Creator, and production assistance from Diplo, Flying Lotus and Pharrell Williams. It debuted at No. 3 on the Billboard Hot 100 with the singles Goosebumpz, S.D.S., and Watching Movies. In the support of the album, Miller headlined concerts with Action Bronson, Chance the Rapper and Earl Sweatshirt, before playing with Lil Wayne and 2 Chainz in Europe.

    by kxdott on 5/30/11Eagles Club/The Rave/Eagles Ballroom - Milwaukee

there was over 4,000 people at Mac's show on Saturday night. he jumped into the crowd and even hung out with some of his fans backstage after the show. he told someone in the crowd happy birthday. performed an extra song at the end because the crowd was so wild. Mac tweeted that the WI show changed his life.

    Mac Attack

    by JennTee on 5/30/11Eagles Club/The Rave/Eagles Ballroom - Milwaukee

The concert was a lot of fun, but Mac Miller wasn't very good performance wise. He didn't really speak clearly and his mic wasn't loud enough to understand him. Also, event security was CRAZY they went way too into your personal space for my liking.

    Mac Miller Concert

by bL5427 on 5/26/11Highline Ballroom - New York City

The place was a bit packed and pretty small but the conditions were great and it was an overall amazing time. There were a few opening acts for Mac that took about an hour and a half or so, and people began to become agitated as they waited for Mac to come on. However, it was well worth the wait. Mac Miller is a great performer and had the place going crazy. He did a great mix of songs from KIDS, Best Day Ever, and some from the High Life and Jukebox here and there. It was arguably one of the best concerts I've ever been to.

    Mac is always dope

by EricJensen on 5/23/11Jaxx Nightclub - Springfield

The venue is pretty bad. JAXX is dirty, sooo small, and their sound system is mediocre. There were lots of opening acts for Mac like Logic, Henny, and 2 or 3 more. Those took a total of 2 and a half hours. People were getting pissed waiting but Mac was so incredible it was completely worth the wait. He did a good mix of songs. Mostly from BDE and KIDS of course but there was some Jukebox and High Life in there. You can never go wrong with a Mac Miller show.

It was way too crowded, it seemed the venue was overcrowded and there were many people smoking weed inside the venue so it got very hot very fast. there were too many warm up bands and it took way too long for mac to come on.

The Mac Miller concert was INCREDIBLY DOPE!!!

by Safferz on 5/23/11Jaxx Nightclub - Springfield

Mac Miller was simply amazing! His opening acts were hype and should be recognized especially Logic he did his thing and the fact that he's from Maryland makes everything much better. The atmosphere was real hype and hot but I really enjoyed myself. Mac Miller is a must see. Watch out for him and Logic who's mixtape drops soon!!

    Great Show

by bucs12321 on 5/17/11State Theatre - St Petersburg

Mac Miller really knows how to put on a great show so if your a fan of his music you should make it a point to see him live. He is full of energy and interacts a lot with the audience. My only complaints were that he left the crowd waiting a little too long, as even with an opening act, starting after 9 for a show scheduled at 7 is kinda bad. Also I wish he would have performed for longer but the time he did spend on stage was crazy good.

    Rain didn't stop the fun.

by PhilHB on 5/16/11Revolution Live - Ft Lauderdale

As the title says, it rained that night. We waited for Mac Miller in the rain, he eventually came out and rocked a great set with great stage presence.

    Worst Concert Ever

by CJM18 on 5/16/11Revolution Live - Ft Lauderdale

I don't know why the concert got changed from Revolution Live to America's Backyard, which was smaller and outside. It was pouring and everybody was crowding under the only small roof there was which was above the bar. The security guard kicked me out because he thought I was coming from outside the concert. Mac Miller showed up a lot later than expected but half the crowd had already left.

    Waited too long for Mac

by LaiMar69 on 5/16/11Revolution Live - Ft Lauderdale

Originally, the show was supposed to be an indoor event. I chose seats that were pretty close to the stage. For whatever reason, the venue was changed. It was then going to be an outdoor event. We arrived at 6:30pm. The line was pretty long by that time. The event was supposed to start at 7:30. We didnt get in till after 8pm. By the time we got inside, the place was packed. We had to go all the way to the back. It started raining and we were getting wet. The dj was no good. We went to the exit, under a roof to avoid the rain, away from the show. VIP was $50 per person and you were NOT even close to the stage. Some of Mac's friends were performing and after being boo'ed, they were threatening the crowd that they either listened to them sing or Mac wouldn't come out, which i didnt like because we paid to see Mac. By the time Mac came out it was about 10pm. He only sang part of every song. After waiting for 3 hours, Mac performed for 45 minutes. His music is good but I will not be attending any more of his concerts.
