A Jimmy Buffet replay as expected

by Rick on 4/6/24Ponte Vedra Concert Hall - Ponte Vedra Beach

If you loved Jimmy and miss him you’ll love this show. BUT you may also be surprised by what Mac can do. Great guitar and a deep voice. Hi rendition of Dwayne Allman’s song was amazing. Stories were very good. He frankly admits he is still working thru this show and still learning words to some songs. All things considered very good

    MacMcAnally

    by Lori D on 3/7/24Birchmere - Alexandria

Mac is a superb musician and a delightful storyteller. Between singing beautiful renditions of his songs and the ones he co-wrote with Jimmy Buffett, he told stories of how the songs came to be. With heartfelt warmth, he kept the audience either laughing or crying with memories of his time as a Coral Reefer. The Birchmere was a perfect setting to enjoy the music and lore of Mac McAnally.

    Great venue, outstanding performance

by Mike Martin on 3/5/24Birchmere - Alexandria

This was my first time going to this venue and let me say I’m very impressed. My daughter and I drove up from Williamsburg Virginia area and were pleasantly surprised at how well the venue staff worked together… They were like a “well oiled machine.” We will definitely be coming back. As far as the Mac Mcanally show… It was outstanding!!! Being diehard, Jimmy Buffett Parrotheads and over the years attending 131 of his concerts, it was great to see Mac and Eric back on the stage together. Not only was the music great, but his heartfelt stories about his dear friend Jimmy had the crowd in tears at times. Of course those were happy tears as we were all reminiscing of our memories and experiences at Jimmy’s concerts over the decades. My daughter and I will definitely be coming back to this venue. We will definitely be going to see Mac again in the future.

    Great show

    by NCR58 on 3/5/24Birchmere - Alexandria

Mac was wonderful. To say show was fabulous is understatement. For long time Parrothead loved the Buffet songs and stories. Also loved the fact that show had other elements and music other than JB. Mac is amazing guitar player and wonderful performer. Highly recommend the show.

    Mac captivates The Birvhmere again

by Kim on 3/5/24Birchmere - Alexandria

I could listen to Mac sell asphalt. His musical talent holds and molds the audience like putty. Soulful, rich, smooth and funny, what’s not to like? Extra special this time as he reflects on his decades relationship with Jimmy Buffett while treating us with a few musical memories of Margaritaville!

Don’t miss. Great night with a close friend

by Great show on 3/1/24Ludlow Garage Cincinnati - Cincinnati

This was a great show. This man is a story teller through his music and the tales he told between songs. One of the best shows I’ve been to in quite some time. So much rich history between him and Jimmy Buffett. It all rolls out in a wonderful easy manner. Mack is an artist who lost his best friend of 40 years. The night is just a guy talking about his best buddy.

    Beyond Expectations!!!

by Lady Di on 3/1/24Ludlow Garage Cincinnati - Cincinnati

Ludlow garage was the perfect venue for Mac’s amazing performance! Even if you’re not a card carrying parrot head, you had to be drawn in by his incredible storytelling, personal vignettes, and premier guitar playing. For 2 hrs he shared a fabulous mix of his songs and some of those he wrote with JB. Heartfelt, genuine, and inspiring.

Great show by a beloved artist

by Busey on 2/29/24Ludlow Garage Cincinnati - Cincinnati

I took my wife and kids to this one; Mac (and percussionist Eric Darken) did not disappoint. Mr. McAnally did an outstanding job of mixing music and storytelling. He played his music, a few of Jimmy Buffett’s and a few covers. A memorable evening for me and my family. We are all looking forward to seeing him again. Thanks Mac for a wonderful night!

Wonderful tribute from a fantastic person

by Rob on 2/28/24Ludlow Garage Cincinnati - Cincinnati

If Mac had come to Cincinnati in February 2024 independent of Jimmy Buffett and the Coral Reefer Band, of course I still would come see him. Mac is a fantastic storyteller and human being. But with Jimmy's passing less than six months earlier, after attending 21 Buffett shows, no way was I missing this. Wonderful tribute Mac, thank you for coming. Thanks for the stories and the memories. Just thank you in general. Thank you for taking the time to meet with anyone who wants to say hi afterward. Hope to see you again soon.

    Awesome evening!

by DK on 2/27/24Ludlow Garage Cincinnati - Cincinnati

Mac sounded great! Played his stuff, hits he wrote for other big stars and threw in several tribute songs to Jimmy Buffet. Played for 2+ hours straight. He's a great storyteller as well. Eric on percussions was phenomenal! After the concert Mac stood in the back and greeted anyone who was willing to wait in line to talk to him. Couldn't have asked for anything more.

    An emotional night

by Darvis on 2/27/24Ludlow Garage Cincinnati - Cincinnati

Mac McAnally is easily one of the most respected songwriters and musicians around, and no one can dispute that. But his storytelling is a talent unto its own. As a lifelong Parrothead, Mac has been on my radar for nearly 30 years. Hearing the background stories from Changing Channels, Coast of Carolina, etc. shows how much Jimmy respected his talent and friendship. When he gets to It’s My Job and Bubbles Up, he tries his best to remind us that Jimmy would rather us remember him with a smile than mourn the fact he’s no longer physically here. If your eyes are dry after those songs, you’re a better person than I am. Please catch this show wherever you can. Mac and Eric Darken will give you a show that you’ll remember for a long time to come Fins up!

make you laugh, cry,and reminisce the good days

by alexa on 2/27/24Ludlow Garage Cincinnati - Cincinnati

Grammy winning artist Mac Mcanally is one of the most talented musicians to this date, alongside fellow friend and musician Eric Darken. One of the most underrated artists ever. If you have a chance to go to one of his shows… go, you won’t regret it. Beautiful song tribute to fellow artists and friends Jimmy Buffet and Toby Keith. His storytelling from his traveling wild road days are bound to make you laugh. At the end of the show Eric and Mac stayed to meet anyone who wanted to, they stayed at least an extra hour or so shaking hands, exchanging anecdotes, healing parrot heads hearts and laughing with whoever stayed behind. If you need a couple starter songs I recommend ‘Back Where I Come From’ ‘On Account of You’ ‘Down the Road’ and many more.

    Jimmy Buffett tribute

by Buffett fan forever on 12/10/23Piedmont Hall - Greensboro

Great music and an excellent tribute to Jimmy Buffett. The ticket price was affordable and the staff at the venue very friendly. Saw some friends and met Buffett's lovely niece. The kind of nights that I love.
