Bo Bice was better than I thought he would be and I would consider bying a CD. This was the third time I tried to see Lynyrd Skynyrd and missed them because of cancellation and bad timing. I was so disappointed because it was so loud we had to cover our ears to listen and we never did hear the singer. We stayed for five songs, but after the couples on both sides of us left , we finally did too. There were a lot of people there and I'm sure they stayed because they were big fans, didn't want to waste their money, and had been partying at the fair all day anyway.
The acoustics at the venue were extremely poor. We didn't listen to Bo Bice (opening act) because we couldn't understand anything he was singing. The same went for Lynyrd Skynyrd, but we were familiar with their songs. We expected them to put on a better show.
THIS SHOW WAS AWESOME!! I COULD HAVE NOT ASKED FOR A BETTER EXPERIENCE...CAUGHT ME SOME GUITAR PICKS AND A TOWEL!! THE ONLY ONE THROWN OUT!!!! =]
These guys & gals were great. The vocals couldn't be heard as well as they could have. It was really hard to here the girls singing backup... But as far as Lynyrd Skynyrd.... AWESOME bands never die. They are like a fine wine, they get better with age!!
Wasn't sold out, kinda sad considering the great music they've put out. Concert was awesome!
Very high energy and Skynyrd played to the crowd. They looked as if they were having a great time performing. Dedication to the troops very well received and reference to God during the performance made me fell good.
Lynyrd Skynyrd has always been on of my favorite bands, and last night I finally got to see them live. Over all it was everything I wished and hoped it could be PLUS more! If you have the means to see Lynyrd Skynyrd live DO IT! At every concert I have been to there have always been people chanting Free Bird at one point or another, referencing to an encore. For the first time I found my self screaming Free Bird at the top of my lungs, then moments later I heard it live. It was an amazing experience.
Better than when they were here a few years ago. Breaking In new members Is always tough, but they didn't miss a beat.
Most awesome band of all times. Seating is only problem. I had a woman that sat on her chair and 1/2 of mine. Ground floor seats are hooked together so could not move them. Band and show was the best that I have seen of course they are the best band of all times.
Great high energy show! Sound up high caused it to be somewhat muffled. Loved how band engaged audience throughout and interacted with other band members in playful ways. Visual show and effects very good, really added to show. Classic Lynyrd Skynrd songs, loyal fans knew all.
Our entire family...are BIG FANS. We took the younger three for their first Lynryrd Skynryrd concert...and they were not disappointed. We are looking forward to our next big event with the band....going cruisin'.
I believe my first " Skynyrd " show was back in the late 70's with Ted Nugent or Alice Cooper up in Oakland Calif, theses guy's ALWAYS put on a great show, there is no better guitar army than the Skynyrd boys. Rickey and Gary and who ever else that have in the line up...SMOKE....on guitar and the entire band looks like they are having a blast. My SOLID Christian wife has seen you guy's three times with me, first was the Vicious Cycle Tour with ZZ Top in So. Cal. then up in the Hollywood hills with the Vince Neil Band...she digs on you guys now...even said I have an ego and stage presents like Rickey. Seen " Blackfoot " a few times too as well as " 38.Special " Dang...I wish I could play 1/ 1000th as good as they do. See you next time guys
Loved the show-Bo Bice is great, too. Seats were less than desirable. Had a big speaker right in between us and the stage. I recommend mot sitting close to stage on the sides, the arena is too small for a good view there. I'd go again!!
The Skynyrd Nation was rocking again at the Mid-America Center as Lynryd Skynyrd put on a very high energy show. No one sat down the entire night. Their tribute to fallen members was special. Bo Bice opened the show and was disappointing.
I took my son who is 13. I wanted to him to hear good old fashion Rock and Roll. Lynard Skynard was a hit!
Lynyrd Skynyrd was Great! We had really good seats and could see everything perfectly. Thanks guys for the Great concert.
but no longer great in person based on last night performance. They played some great classic Skynard and the upcoming "God N Guns" CD sounds very promising, but the in person act last night was not "on" anymore like I have seen them. Maybe it was due to a 10 day lay off, maybe there is just not enough of the original talent left playing their own stuff, rather a band playing classic southern rock. Not sure why it was "okay" rather than "great". It was loud, and certainly some of the crowd was raucous, but I left disappointed overall.
