  • Lynch Mob Live

by Metal Zenith on 7/2/23Rating: 5 out of 5

This was a weird show. First, Lynch Mob has not released new music in almost six years, and there are two new members in the band since that last release. That begged the question of what they were going to play. Was it going to be heavy on the old Lynch Mob? They checked that box with five songs from the first album. They also played four from the Dokken era and covered a Rolling Stones song, ending up with a great mix of songs. One of the best parts is that they’ve picked up a vocalist who could handle the new and all the old, including the Dokken material. One of the wildest things about the show was all the talking. At first, I thought they might be covering for an equipment malfunction or something like that, but I later learned that to be false. They had an issue with George's setup and did not try to cover it, just chatted until it got fixed, which it did. That's when they ripped through "Mr. Scary,"and I went into total fanboy mode. Yeah, I'm an old-school Dokken fan, but I also love many of the projects and solo things George Lynch has taken part in, so I was equally excited to hear "Wicked Sensation"and a couple of new tracks. As for new tracks, "Time After Time"and "Synner"went over very well, hitting the crowd with some signature Lynch shredding and some undeniably grooves in the rhythms. Meanwhile, there was chatter and talk between a lot of the songs. Funny stories were told, jokes were cracked, and merriment ensued. They sometimes responded to the crowd, giving ad-lib responses to shouted things. It was weird because not many bands interact with the audience that way. I've been to hundreds of shows, and this was pretty unique, making this a different kind of experience. Having mixed eras of George's experience throughout the show, the final song was one everyone waited to hear. "Wicked Sensation"took about 15 minutes because they fused in other songs, creating a fantastic medley and had some extended guitar soloing. Come on, it's George Lynch, and much as everyone loves the vocal melodies, they also wanted a few minutes alone with the man and his magic fingers, and we got a last fix for that addiction here. To a person everyone I heard talking about the show walking out was blown away. At 68 years old, George Lynch is still on top of his game and has surrounded himself with musicians capable of keeping pace. I'm really looking forward to Babylon, the new Lynch Mob CD, coming out on October 20.

George Lynch is a must see live guitar officionaro and put on a stellar performance. The lead singer has some incredible pipes and the whole band had great energy and sound. Mostly Lynch Mob songs speckled with a couple Dokken. Great night!

George and his bandmates were excellent. The vocals were on point and the rhythm section was tight. Couldn't believe Lynch Mob played such a small venue. A win for everyone who attended.

  • Lynch Still Shreds!

by Maiden Believer on 7/18/19The Canyon Santa Clarita - Santa ClaritaRating: 5 out of 5

Definitely one of the best shows I’ve experienced. Sat right in front of Mr. Scary himself & he didn’t disappoint. The man is 64 and can still bring it. I would put him up against any of today’s so called “guitarists” and I know he would blow them away. Tight band accompanying him also. DeAnda on drums, McNab on bass, and Freeman from Last In Line on vocals. After the show I got to meet Mr. Scary himself. He was humble and very appreciative of the fans there. He even signed my old school CDs. One of the most Stand Up people I have ever met. So Blessed to have been there. The Canyon waiter Andrew also gave great service. Go see Lynch Mob or The End Machine if you get a chance. You’ll be Stoked!

  • Great new concert venue

by Metalbones on 7/2/19The Canyon Montclair - MontclairRating: 4 out of 5

Great place for a concert, sound guy is at stage left, looking at the band the whole time, great location! Just be aware that there are vertical support posts for the roof about 40 feet from the stage, to the left and the right. They might block your view of the singer. Also the scaffolding for the lightning has 2 posts that take away the side viewing angle, hopefully they remove these at a later date. They add and remove tables according to the size of the crowd.

  • Nostalgia .......

by topssuite on 11/20/17Come and Take It - AustinRating: 3 out of 5

The last time I saw George Lynch was in 1997 w/ Dokken and it happened to be at a venue that was in the same strip center as where I saw Lynch Mob this past Friday night. Ironic. I went for nostalgia and to kind of remember the 80's metal scene for what it was. This was far from it. George does not look good. His playing is ok but not where I remember say off the Dysfunctional release / Back From the Attack era. The other players in the band are basically bar / garage musicians that may have played briefly with some name groups from yesteryear. Oni is the singer on Wicked Sensation album. The years have not been good to his voice.

Always a great time watching the Mob. George is still furious on 6 strings, Oni might need a teleprompter ;) Sing along, grab your cameras, it's rock and roll as real as it gets! Longer sets needed, and get some more merch... with dates and venues!

  • Mr. SCARY and the Lynch Mob was AMAZING

by Guitar666 on 11/24/16B.B. King Blues Club & Grill - New YorkRating: 5 out of 5

What can I say George Lynch and Lynch Mob keeps getting better with time. Seen them play since the 90's and caught every show when they come to New York City. Seeing Lynch and the Band really takes me back to a place when Hair Metal was at it's glory....gosh I missed those days, lol. I play guitar and of course Lynch was flawless. I hope these guys keep coming back until they're playing in Wheelchairs.

  • Lynch Mob Impressed Both My Wife and I

by Brutalthrasher on 9/14/16House of Blues San Diego - San DiegoRating: 5 out of 5

I felt the band worked extremely hard and produced tremendous sound. I came mainly to see George, but was extremely impressed by the vocalist and drummer. The bass guitarist also put out a heavy sound. They all interacted well with the crowd and played nearly 20 songs. I would say the $35 I spent for my ticket was more than worth it. Thank you Lynch Mob!!

  • Do Not Miss These Guys

by garedawg on 9/14/16The Rose - PasadenaRating: 5 out of 5

The Rose in Pasadena is one of my new favorite places for a rock show. The club was clean and intimate and has a great sound system. It helped having Jimmy D'Anda on drums shaking the place. Lynch Mob was amazing from start to finish. George joked around a little but when it came time to shred, shred they did. Totally tight and great harmonies. Oni Logan has such a perfect Rock and Roll voice, wide range and really sounds good matched with George's guitars. Sean McNabb and Jimmy D'Anda had to both have blisters on their hands from their performance as well. All around great show, cannot say enough good things. Will see them everytime they are close.
