With the touch of a remote control, her body of work in television and film can be found on network and cable television as well as popular streaming services. The 2006 hit mockumentary-styled comedy film "Borat: Cultural Learnings of America for Make Benefit Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan" was Luenell's breakout role that introduced her to mainstream audiences around the world. Ironically, in the Oscar-nominated film, she portrays a prostitute, named Luenell, with a heart of gold. And in the end -- just like Julia Roberts's character in "Pretty Woman" -- Luenell gets the guy! Currently, Luenell is a part of the cast of the new comedy on Paramount + called CRUTCH, starring Tracy Morgan, which is a spinoff of THE NEIGHBORHOOD on CBS. In addition, look for Luenell as the voice of Milly in the Universal/Dreamwork's family animated hit movie, DOG MAN, one of the top-grossing films in 2025!! Other credits on the big screen include two Eddie Murphy movies - that is, the "Coming 2 America" sequel and "Dolemite Is My Name," "A Star is Born," "Spring Breakdown," "All About Steve," "Think Like a Man," "Think Like a Man Too" and "Taken 2."
On the small screen, Luenell can be seen in "Hacks," "The Last O.G.," "The Middle," "Always Sunny in Philadelphia," "Headcase," "Chocolate News," "The Tony Rock Project" and "Californication" - just to name a few. Plus, Luenell is featured in the docuseries "Phat Tuesdays," on Amazon Prime Video, which celebrates "Phat Tuesdays" at The Comedy Store, the influential comedy showcase that helped launch the careers of some of the most famous Black comedians in the industry today.

My cheeks are still hurting from laughing so much! She is hilarious and we had a great time. Drinks and food available for purchase was a plus. I will be going to see one of her shows again!
Luenell was hilarious!!! LOVED IT, LOVED IT LOVED IT!!! Time went soooooo FAST!!! I got some girls and we flew to Los Angeles. What a great Mother's Day!! I'm glad that she's staying, as she says "BOOKED and BUSY". And for her to be SELLING OUT shows without THE BOYS!!! I pray she gets that LATE NIGHT talk show.
It was such a pleasure to finally this living legend LIVE! She was even more charismatic and hilarious in person. My only complaint is that her set wasn’t longer …defenitely going to see her in Las Vegas!
I absolutely love Luenell she is thee BEST!!! I love the way she interacts with the crowd. Her jokes are so funny. I just hate that the theater was sooo hot, and I wish the chairs was set up better: the theater should have had a hirer chair and cuter chair for Luenell to sit on while on stage. Parking downtown is horrible. So I highly doubt I will be back to The Regent unless there is someone I just really want to see. I gave 4 out of 5 stars just because of the theater. Luenell was GREAT!!!

My 1st opportunity to see Luenell was in Las Vegas, I found her to be exceptionally funny, didn't have to read any written script, everything she said, just rolled off her lips. The show at the Apollo was awesome,! My husband had never heard of or seen Luenell before, he was laughing so hard. We were well entertained!
Luenell was funny, honest, real and raw! I’m definitely going to see her again!
The projector screen was amazing.!!! Ms. Luenell mentioned my name, Edna, which was unexpected. I was able to see her and she didn't disappoint me at all. The dialogue for her audience was hilarious. She's still is a Bad Girl along with her stage format. She shook the house up to me. All new material. The outfit was a pretty decorum. I just love My Bad Girl, Ms. LUENELL.!!! The Material was not predictable. My Girl had me from start to end. Ms. Luenell career focus is she Got the right job. Undeniable, funny, excellent, sharp, and she will continue to react on time. Come back soon.!!!
I expected Luenell to be funnier. I think she was so overwhelmed by this being her first time at the historic Apollo Theatre that she was not regular self. I think her netflix special was way better. I still enjoyed the show but not like I thought I would have.

I truly honestly enjoy Lunell live at the Apollo...She gave a great show kept whole place in stitches...Frist time ever seeing her live & as she had said, she's a boss b....!! And the whole ordinance 💞ed her...I truly hope she comes back again & I'll be there...😘😘

Luenell performing her first live large-venue headliner gig, and doing it at the Apollo, was highly successful IMO. She handled the room well, and kept everyone interested for 80 of her 90-minute show; the first 45 was enlightened material, and the last 45 was living room-style humor…highly adult but very relatable.
Not really nothing much to it…Great night very Epic, I always loved and Enjoyed to watch Luenell do what she do, we appreciate her for Doing a show at the legendary Apollo..Beautiful Grown up night out loved it full of laughs and fun..
Lunell was absolutely awesome. She was, candid & funny as hell. The Apollo staff were organized, professional & pleasant. Great crowd control management 👏🏾 👌🏾 I will definitely return for more events.
