I've attended this event every year since the very first ... just gets better and better. The lineup is always exceptional, and this year was no different. If you want to be worn out with lots of great music and support a very important cause, this is the event for you!
This was my husband and my attendance of this festival and also the first visit to Charleston. The venu was great and the sound system was wonderful too. Each night was a treat even though I had seen 90% of the artist previously. I especially enjoyed Randy Crawford and Joe Sample and that's because I had not seen them before. Oh, forgot I had not seen Evrett Harp before and he was excellent! We drove from VA (5 hrs) and well worth the drive, I hope to return next year!
Every group was phenomenal! The local group, Da'rrell Ravenell & Friends kept the crowd going from the onset to their finale. Jazz in Pink offered sweet, funk & nasty from a group of beautiful & talented women. The saxophone quartet led by Dave Coz was the third layer on a decadent cake with the most thrilling icing. I couldn't have had a better treat for my birthday weekend!
I night to remember. Charleston All Stars were a great "ramp up group". Really enjoyed Jazz in Pink....great to see such wonderful and talented performers. Summer Horns were a hit! What can be better than Dave Koz, Gerald Albright, Richard Elliot and Mindi Abair for two terrific hours of our favorite Jazz. The Low Country Jazz Festival gets better every year! Thanks to Tammi Green and Dr. Bell for your support.
An absolutely amazing show - the music, the showmanship, etc!!! All 3 groups were awesome and 4 1/2 hours of non-stop entertainment - I will definitely return next year!
Food, fellowship, and ambiance - a GREAT recipe...Looking forward to next year!!
