Everything about the game was great! I think its a terrible idea to charge for parking after you have already purchased tickets. Not only does it suck to pay another $5 after you bought $80 worth of tickets, it made half of the stadium late getting to their seats because the "parking fee" is collected at a snail's pace. In addition, for $5 we got to park in a wet grass field.
This game never disappoints. Always a packed house with lots of excitement. Lots of hits and missed throws kept this game very exciting from start to finish. Go tigers!
This was a great family friendly event for a great cause. Will definitely by doing it again next year!
Need some pregame assistance with traffic on Airline Hwy. Sat in traffic for an hour trying to get into stadium, then couldn't fine any parking, missed first 2 innings. Left home at 5:00 for a 45 minute trip. Game was great after we got there!
If there was a 4 1/2 stars, that would have been my rating. Only reason is the parking situation was horrific. The seats and game were unbelievable, BUT it took us an hour to move 3blocks and then another 20minutes to find a spot a mile away.
The weather could not have been any more perfect to sit and watch two good teams play. Everyone was having a good time good mix of LSU and ULL fans all together. the only draw back was trying to get into the parking lot and when getting a snack. We wound up parking across the street from stadium and walking.
You would think they've learned by now...need traffic police and they shut down the lot 30 minutes before the game creating a huge mess making folks late for the game. Concession lines a little long but guess Zephyr Field only sees that type of crowd once a year so understandable.
Weather was great! Venue is always great for baseball. And LSU is always worth the ticket to see. It was unfortunate that weather conditions on the previous week forced a rescheduling of the game; otherwise it would've been LSU vs Southern Mississippi (rather than LSU vs Southern University). But still a great game for a great cause to honor a great player!

Had a great time at the game! Seats were good, except they were right next to the aisle and it seems most people can't sit still. They kept getting up for snacks or bathroom or whatever and it blocked our view substantially. Doesn't anybody just stay in their seat anymore? Or do they just come to eat? The game was fun though.
Had a great time with the family and enjoyed the game.
We had excellent seats between pitchers mound & home plate on 3rd base line. Weather was cool & Tigers lit it up. A great night!
The 2012 classic at Zephyr Field was another spectacular success. Each year LSU & Southern Miss play a serious but friendly game in the New Orleans area. Both teams are normally top notch and both teams have fabulous Fan Bases. Since the game is held about 1 1/2 hours from each campus, lots of students & Alums attend. It's also a great game for fans in New Orleans to bring their youth out to meet super friendly players. We all yell for our respective teams but also show our appreciation for all outstanding plays & players. Super tailgating, friendly crowds, minimal costs! Join us next year!
This was a great family event for a great cause. We hope to be in attendance again next year.
