About

In times where it becomes easiest to feel anything but, Louis the Child is here to make you happy. Over 50 million Spotify streams later, the two Chicago-bred wunderkinds have done just that, spreading glitzy, electronic bliss through stadium-ready anthems like "It's Strange," Icona Pop collaboration "Weekend," and "Fire." But their versatility and emotional range shines through brightest on most recent release, "Love Is Alive" (ft. Elohim), showcasing an understated tenderness, which Billboard praised as "soft and soothing."

Citing influences ranging from James Blake to Robert Glasper, duo Robby Hauldren and Freddy Kennett blend musical complexity and sonic experimentation in an individual strand of future bass that defies pop formulas, while catching the ear of outlets such as Pitchfork, BBC, Pigeons and Planes, and Taylor Swift's Instagram. Since supporting the likes of Madeon, Porter Robinson, The Chainsmokers, and Big Gigantic. Mixmag's #1 artist taking American dance music to the next level has quickly risen to headliner status. Currently in the midst of an extensive spring tour, Louis the Child is fully prepared to bring smiles to the crowds of Bonnaroo, Hangout, Middlelands, and more major festivals across the globe this summer.

Phenomenal Show to Comeback From the Pandemic

by Tursak on 8/25/21TCU Amphitheater at White River State Park - Indianapolis

Slenderbodies provided the perfect, smooth, easy lead into the larger performer, Jai Wolf caught everyone's attention when the speakers started booming (causing more of the crowd to gather), and then Louis the Child understood their crowd to the T, playing pump-up jams when we were slowing down, and then saving their best for last. Couldn't have asked for a better first concert after a 1.5yr hiatus

    All good except water

by Emily on 8/24/21TCU Amphitheater at White River State Park - Indianapolis

After going to two different Live Nation venues I have found that they no longer sell bottled water (or at least not that I saw) and only carry the Liquid Death brand. I understand this is an effort to ditch pollution and adopt more environmentally friendly options however these cans are significantly more expensive than the bottles and I feel like I am wasting my money getting water. Will be bringing my own now.

Set— 5 stars. Venue— 2 stars

    by J on 8/21/21Ting Pavilion - Charlottesville

Louis the Child was a dream to finally see!!! Love my boys forever however the worst thing ever was having to have cash to buy water??? One food truck took card and they ran out of water early in the night so you then had to go to another stand separate from the water stand to get cash traded from your card to then go back to the water stand and buy water. It was honestly super inconvenient and a huge hassle to do in the middle of a fantastic set, especially without notice that it would be recommended to bring cash to the show. They really didn’t make it easy for people in the middle of a crowd that was easily 120 degrees and something that should have taken 3 minutes took 10. Other than that, getting inside the venue was very quick and easy and a pretty cool location and Louis the Child was amazing!

    Crazy (Fun) Experience

    by L on 8/13/21Coca-Cola Roxy - Atlanta

I’m usually don’t go to concerts, I’ve only been to 3 and they were fun but nothing crazy, just good music and some dancing. But this concert was different. We were in the middle of the general admission and it was a crazy time, lots of getting pushed around and dancing. highly recommend.

    Hold my drink

by DG on 8/10/21Red Hat Amphitheater - Raleigh

Concert was an amazing experience and everyone was prompt with their performances. However the bathroom situation was absolute hell. Hundreds of people flooded the lines and no organization what so ever. Not enough bathrooms available for a full capacity event. Red Hat has to do better with getting more bathrooms accessible to people.

They didn't even play their music

    by A on 8/9/21Ascend Amphitheater - Nashville

I understand it’s an EDM group so I expected them, like a lot of EDM artists, to just press play then jump up and down a lot. What was annoying is they only played maybe three of their released songs. They spent the rest of the time playing random mixes that weren’t good. They said at the end of the concert they wanted to make it feel like “2008 EDM shows.” I would have never paid to see them if I knew this was the case. I don’t hate “2008 EDM music” but they just weren’t good at it. They have never been known for that kind of music either so it was really random. I bought tickets to listen to their music that I love and enjoy dancing/singing with other fans for the first time in almost two years. I basically expected a chainsmokers show with less production value (which I was okay with). Instead we got an hour and a half of wannabe skrillex, without good visuals and just weird videos of people dancing. It seemed they are denouncing the music that built their career and fan base in favor of trying to be “respected” EDM artists. Though after seeing this show, I feel they should definitely stick to what actually makes them money.

    Love the Sylvee!

by Ole Meller on 12/9/19The Sylvee - Madison

I’ve said it before & I’ll say it again, the Sylvee is the perfect venue for going to shows. I swear everywhere you are, you have a perfect view of the show! The sound quality is so spectacular I don’t feel the need to use my ear plugs. The lighting is incredible, the drinks are super well priced & I have an awesome time every time I go! Louis the Child was incredible. As well as Duckwrth!! Their show was very well done & fluid! I didn’t feel an awkward break or an uncomfortable silence in the slightest. The light show with the addition of the glowing orbs was such a hoot! I danced my rump off & had an awesome time with my best buds.
