The game was supposed to start at 3:45. There was thunder and rain in the area and the game started almost 2 hours late. We had other commitments, so we could not attend the game. Is there any chance we could transfer these tickets for another game?
I am a big DC United fan so I was excited was excited to see Loudoun United. Unfortunately the game day experience just isn’t worth the ticket prices. It feels very cheap and transient. The stands are just scaffolding with a tarp wrapped around them. The bathrooms are container cars and refreshments are served in pop up tents. It has all the charm of a temporary FEMA shelter. Hopefully one day they will convert it to a more permanent stadium.
The stands were pretty empty for a soccer game on a nice fall night. On the positive side, you could hear everything that the players were saying. The field has some more buildings that need to be built but for now food is in a food truck or at a portable stand and the bathroom facilities are porta-johns. The four stars are for the exciting soccer with St. Louis scoring first and then each team taking turns scoring two in a row. Loudoun scored in stoppage time to win 4-3.
The event was an A+. Its a new team in a competitive league but overall the event was very nice, relaxing and easy going. The game was nice to watch in Loudoun without having to travel very far.
It was a great night for soccer. We had great seats. My only issue was signs for where to park and traffic due to the confusion.
The Loudoun United FC home opener was an exciting game and a great summer evening. The stadium surface seemed perfect for the players, and the grounds and concessions around the stadium will only get better as it nears completion. The parking plan and flow will hopefully be a focus for improvement as many folks were delayed. Loved the energy of the players and the fans that helped make the 3-3 tie something to remember. Can't wait for another family evening at Segra Field.
Enjoyed watching a competitive match in a relaxing atmosphere. However, it's far from freeways and shops.
A 6 minute trip took 48 minutes. They need to figure out the parking situation
A great event! Very entertaining team to watch and a cheap, family-friendly activity.
