  • Los Lobos good. sound guy not so much...

Los Lobos did a great job. Played the songs I wanted to hear right after I thought about those songs which is fun when it happens. The sound guy seemed to have it set up for the Georgia Dome or Phillips Arena, a large space with some acoustic qualities. Outside in the garden, it was just loud and distorted, but not in a good way. We left early because it was making our ears hurt.

  • Los Lobos were musicly excellent- sound system not

Really looked forward to this concert as I have been a fan for many years- as they opened it was obvious the sound was way off with the vocals dominating while guitars were barely even heard- as the concert went on the soundman seemed to at least equilize the mix but the volume was underwhelming- the band was asking for more commitment from the crowd probably without realizing that the volume was probably at a 5-6. During 'Don't Worry Baby' which should kill I had to lean back and ask the people behind me to stop talking so I could hear better and I was probably 15 yards behind the sound board. I thought Los Lobos really worked hard to give a good show and would give them a B+, the sound crew gets a C-

  • Los Lobos Rocks the Botanical Gardens!

One of my favorite bands for many years, and I was excited to finally get a chance to see them live during one of their rare visits to Atlanta. Great set list, including "Will the Wolf Survive," "Kiko and the Lavender Moon," "Shakity Shakity Shakes," "Volver, Volver," and many others. The most versatile band in America, moving from fabulous Tejano to gut-busting rock to blues to R&B, sometimes in a single song. The only reason I rank it with four stars is the ultra laid-back audience, who could only be convinced to get up and boogie during the obligatory "La Bamba" (sort of a case of "oh, yeah, I know THAT song!" by many in the crowd who knew nothing of the band's catalog). Still, a wonderful time was had by all, and the band graciously did a "Meet and Greet" after the show to sign autographs and chat with fans.
