Best dancing night in such a great venue! The band as usual kept everyone, especially myself, jumping and dancing along! Definitely the band energy and love for their music can be completely transmitted to everyone in the venue. I do have to say I missed swing DJ Afro but the sub guitar player was good enough to keep sever open following the happy rhythms !
They played for about 2 hours. It was extremely fun, everyone was into all if their songs..GREAT TIME,finally got to see them live!!!!!
Never heard of Los Amigos Invisibles till that night. The band played for 1 hour and a half straight, no stopping, breaks whatsoever and i find that incredible for any band to do. This show was really fun lots of dancing went on here, everyone was friendly. I dont go to night clubs or dance but i do enjoy watching live bands play which is what The Fonda Theatre always offers, and seeing Los Amigos Invisibles play disco, funk, acid jazz made me feel a lot comfortable to dance while watching a live band play. Overall great night!
Awesome show -- these guys are the best! !Viva Venezuela!
My friends from Venezuela invited me to go-they are huge fans...I do not speak any spanish, haven't heard any of their songs before-but I had the best time-ever! The music was great, the lead singer was an awesome entertainer-the crowd went wild! Good times! Going again next year!
As a female who doesn't understand Spanish very much (half Japanese, half French), I LOVE Los Amigos Invisibles! My bf (who is Hispanic), introduced me to this band back in Novemberc, and I've been hooked on em ever since! A friend of mine told me they were performing in LA, and I just had to see them! They did such an amazing job during their performance! They were sweating their tails off, and they all looked like they were having so much fun. I luckily got to stand in the front row, dead center..and I was able to capture everything. They played all of their hit songs, and of course some new ones from their recently released album. They especially played all my favorites!! Mentiras, Dulce, La Vecina, Sueno Erotico, Plastic Woman, Que Rico, Vivire Para Ti, and much more! Honestly, they never once stopped to take a breather. It was constant song after song after song. They also did a lot of transitions from one song to another, and just playing from there. Not to mention their encore was like 5 songs worth! Their openers were two DJs..including DJ Afro. I was surprised that they didn't have an opening band. But..I'm happy..because it was worth the wait and anticipation. One of the crew members from LAI handed me an "after show" pass during the concert to have the opportunity to hang out with the band! Lucky me! Though we didn't stay too long afterwards, I got to see them lounging around and talking with their friends and what not. They seem very down to earth, and just fun guys to be around. Can't wait for their next show! Hope you enjoy the pictures, and I'll be posting the videos later on, on my YouTube! AyumiPULP :]
Had a great time watching the performance. Good vibe plus great music made a nice night out for my wife and I.
I don't speak nor understand Spanish. I came to know Los Amigos Invisibles because it was offered as iTunes freebie one time. Even so, I'd heard only two songs of theirs, but I really like the two songs. So I grabbed a Latina friend, who only know only one song, to go to the show. Wow, were we amazed and blown away by the energy! It was pure enjoyment. The crowds were really into it, which made a difference. I would definitely go to their shows again, even if I don't understand the words.
Amigos Invisibles ALWAYS prove how great musicians they are through their fantastic music! the performance was very entertaining and they succeeded giving a great ambiance in House of Blues last Saturday. The venue made it intimate and affordable although I could have saved a significant amount of money if I'd have purchased the tickets at the door. The only real BAD thing about this event and the reason why I gave a 3 star versus 5 was because of the opening band. It was all the opposite from what the people went there for. I totally understand it, I get it, every music has their own audience, Amigo's audience wasn't for this opening band. It was simple, a total different tune, they didn't even bother to give eye contact to the people, it truly felt it was only a gig for them, lack of respect for the public. Amigos is about music and their signature phrase: "gozadera" which means joy, fun, party. Maybe this is a promoter issue (shame on you in that case), but this was an insult! I was very annoyed by this, good thing Amigos kind of fixed it.
Los Amigos Invisibles always put on an incredible show, and this performance was no exception. The audio was great, they played relatively close to showtime, interacted with the audience, and in general--were enthused to be playing at the House of Blues. HOB--bring this act back as often as possible!
The show started promptly with a little music from dj afro transitioning to the band playing non stop music. They literally did not take a breath during the whole show. They engaged with the public and had a great variety of all time favorites and some of the new songs. Great band, great night!
very good place with a very good band of venezuela only is so busy for the drinks
They are very good. i have been to 4 of their concerts and they are always awesome.
No Chamo!!! this band is the total freakin' hotness. Also, awesome rhythm & changa changa. love love love love.
Awesome band. Highlight: the singer's charisma. :)
Wonderful musicians and music from Los Amigos. I would nonetheless recommend everyone to wait until Clandestino's DJ is done to actually join the venue. Awful sound, arrhythmic mixtures, really unnecessary pre-show. He should have played just untouched original songs from related bands just to warm up the environment.
Los Amigos Invisibles are always amazing playing live!! When they play in the city I always go. I hope they will have more concerts this year
Los Amigos Invisibles are one of the hottest bands around. I've seen them over 10 times in the last 5 or 6 years and they keep getting better and better. If you like great music and you love to dance, you gotta check these guys out.
The place was great located (just in front of a green line T station) and it was large and clear, the environment was fabulous, the sound was perfect, and, as always, "Los Amigos Invisibles" were energetic, fun and musically impeccable. It was a perfect party night
