About

Lorie Line is one of the longest touring artists in the country, and Ticketmaster has been successfully selling her tickets for over 30 years! Be sure to see her when she stops in your town as she brings her own concert grand piano and performs memorable music with over-the-top costumes.

Her story is quite unique as her career started as a pianist in a department store (Dayton's). Since then she has recorded over 60 albums and might just be the most published arranger of piano music in modern day times with over 800 songs (sheet music) available to download. Her piano music on Pandora is almost at one billion spins and she has performed on over 2000 stages across the country. Lorie was inducted into the Minnesota Music Hall of Fame in 2015 and she continues to be one of the hardest working women in show biz.

  • Lorie was beautiful....the production was not.

by Anonymous on 12/10/12State Theatre - MinneapolisRating: 2 out of 5

Lorie Line is just amazing...her talent on the piano is beautiful. She is so elegant when she plays and the songs that come from the piano are wonderful. I have seen her for many years and am always just amazed at how she plays. My disappointment is with the actual "story" of the production. We felt that the production was not as 'big' as in the past. She had her fab 5- but there was really no true story line- we didn't follow the gypsy outfits, to the all blackoutfits.... we left not feeling very "Christmasy". With a show called "Emanual"- the production felt like it was patched together. We will go again only based on knowing Lorie plays beautiful music- but a lot of the production was a little cheesey.

  • Lorie Line and her Fab 5 was Fab!

After seeing Lorie's holiday concert last year, I wondered if this would be too much the same. Not at all! It was a fabulous evening that was the perfect beginning to my holiday season. Lorie and her piano was wonderful and the violinist was one of the best I've ever heard. This will be a holiday tradition for me from now on!!

Dec 2011 concert was amazing! Lori was stunning, her costumes were gorgeous, her set was beautiful with all the Christmas decorations and the music enchanting. She was so warm and inviting, the music mesmerizing and so relaxing and enjoyable. The bells made it extra SPECIAL - keep that in the program.

I have been to some concerts in my day from Keith Urban, Toby Keith, and Bruce The Boss. However, both my husband and I agree that this was by far the most fascinating and entertaining concert we have been too. I am looking forward to purchasing more music from Lorrie. Wish I could wear the dresses and shoes as well!

Took my 8 year old granddaughter and my mother in law. What a great show once again. I think it was the best one actually out of the 3 I have seen. Nice to see Lorie Line in the audience at one point and her husand is so fun! My mother in law laughed throughout the show. Thanks also for the picture on line of the kids all dressed up. Love that that is a freebee..

  • Lorie Line rocks!

Seeing Lorie Line in concert has been on my bucket list for years. I can finally cross it off the list, but that doesn't mean I'll never pay to see her again. She surrounds herself with high-quality talent, her show has nice variety and appeals to all ages. Her stage set is gorgeous, yet homey and the lighting was spectacular. I thoroughly enjoyed everything about her concert....from her kid-audience-involved "12 Days of Christmas" to her amazing rendition of the most difficult Chopin piece.

  • First Experience very impressive

by sqd560 on 12/4/11Burnsville Performing Arts Center - BurnsvilleRating: 4 out of 5

I have heard of Ms. Line for a number of years but was unfamiliar with her. After this concert I would probably look for some of her Christmas albums. I enjoy piano artists and she provides a relaxing mellow musical style that is relaxing and impressive in your ability and effortless playing. Her breadth of her knowledge and styles is very impressive. She can cover the map in musical styles and types. Well worth the viewing

  • Lorie Line was weak

    by John1000 on 11/29/11Fox Cities PAC - AppletonRating: 1 out of 5

She "featured" a couple of other performers on stage in a couple of numbers. But each time, she would give them tiny parts, and the song was still a tribute to ego. There was a guitar player, who had just learned mandolin. She "featured" him in a song, but he was not good at all. Where is the quality control on this stuff? Lorie Line's piano playing was essentially good, but even though she can obviously play with nuance when she wishes, she played hard staccato the whole performance. It was too loud and not very artistic. She is beating up the piano, and not really showing any emotion in her playing. She seems to like to feature herself and her ego, and it was a little embarrassing to watch. She played a complex Chopin piece, but she wrecked it, again with beating the piano, She is obviously very talented and skilled, yet she needs to mellow out and let the music flow. Give those poor piano keys, and our ears a break. This music is supposed to be dramatic and beautiful, and she played it like a slap in the face.

The concert was another success. It always gets my family in the Christmas Spirit

  • Disappointed

    by packers87 on 11/28/11Fox Cities PAC - AppletonRating: 3 out of 5

We have seen Lorie before and looked forward to her Christmas show this year. However, we were disappointed with this show. She seemed to pound on the piano through the whole thing, and it was way too loud. Though I enjoy classical, I did not like the Chopin piece stuck in the middle of what was supposed to be about Christmas. I thought featuring her different musical artists was a good idea, but I would have liked them "featured" and Lorie as background instead of the other way around, to give the audience a little better idea of their talent, and more Christmasy songs would have been nice. As always, the children participation was cute and enjoyable. Overall, for the price, I did not enjoy this show and it did not put me in the Christmas spirit. I probably will not attend another one.
