It was great to see Lori playing with her band. They sounded fabulous. Venue was freezing which took away from the show!
Waited a long time to see lori McKenna.,been trying for years...the venue was great ,lori and her opening singer lindsay weregreat....
I've loved listening to recordings of Lori McKenna to prepare for Saturday night's show at the CityStage in Springfield. I love how intimate the space feels. We all had great sightlines of everyone in the stage. I loved how Lori interacted with the audience. However, I could rarely make out any of the words of her songs. On her recordings the words are clear, but the speakers were muddied or too bright or off in some way. I wish she had sung without the speakers -- the hall was small enough we could have heard her just fine. She has an amazing voice.
Lori McKenna is one of the best singer/song writer ever! She sings about my life,
What a great night and a great venue. Mark Erelli just sets the mood for the night. He plays with so much passion. Then he brings it to the next level when "the boss" comes out and he plays for Lori's set as well.. Its hard to tell who is having more fun the artists or the audience. Lori was great as usual. The old songs are awesome and mean so much. The new ones that we have not learned note for note yet are equally enjoyable. We were very excited to see Humble and Kind performed by the writer. We have heard that song done by some other country guy, but he just cant do it like Lori. Also the rest of the band were very good All in all a great summer night in Harvrard square with one of Cambridge's favorite adopted daughters. We left feeling pretty good after listening to such a collection of "sad songs"
First time at the Sinclair and loved it. The sound was amazing and you don't get much more "intimate" than that. Loved hearing Lori's new music. Wished there had been a bit more time for some other older songs, but otherwise it was a fantastic show.
First time seeing Lori McKenna -- very personal and warm and real entertainer...great songs from a real life! .
Lori McKenna is simply the best! Amazing show. Dean Fields opened for Lori. Another amazing performance.
