Outstanding and flawless, her voice was strong and she provided wonderful narrative commentary to the various inspirations that were the genesis to their creations. This show was more intimate then her last time in Ottawa when she toured for the Ancient Muse Album. A Lorenna fan would not have been disappointed in the set list mixing her upbeat instrumentals with her classic story songs as well as the big ones you would expect to hear. She even included two seasonal classics, a Dickens' Dublin and Snow. Two sets totaling three hours.
Caroline Lavelle, Celloist, and Hugh Marsh, Violinist, played with as much intensity and passion clearly displaying their love of music. Brian Hughes, Ben Grossman and Dudley Phillips were equally to the task in their performance. A truly wonderful show.
A perfect evening.
