the play was very entertaining but it was very difficult to hear the lines. I know that Stephanie Powers was playing a part with an accent but half the time we could not hear her. I was able to hear all the other characters. I have no problem with my hearing. We were sitting very close in row J center orchestra.

by Mossbach on 2/27/13Parker Playhouse - Ft. LauderdaleI was a little concerned when Stephanie Powers was announced as a last minute replacement for Valerie Harper in Looped. Only a few weeks to learn the entire script of basically a two person show. Last night I attended the opening performance of the Ft. Lauderdale tour. Within a few minutes of the opening scene I was hooked. By the end of the show I was amazed. What an actress! Stephanie Powers literally transforms herself into Tallulah Bankhead right before your eyes. The play is a comedy with several dramatic scenes. It is well paced and has some truly great lines that Stephanie delivers to perfection. Audience gave long standing ovation at end. You don't want to miss this one.
