About

LOLAWOLF IN CONCERT:

Cutting-edge Brooklyn pop trio Lolawolf makes uncompromisingly futuristic music that culls from a wild array of genres and past styles including trap, glitch, and ‘90s R&B. Frontwoman Zoe Kravitz – daughter of Lenny Kravitz – is no stranger to the spotlight, and she commands the stage at the band’s concerts with the charisma and swagger of a veteran performer. Unexpected stylistic shifts have become Lolawolf’s sonic calling card in their recorded music, and their live shows are equally dynamic, keeping fans on their toes with adventurous forays into a staggering range of styles. Amid the frenetic mix of sounds Kravitz remains a mesmerizing focal point, issuing her spoken and sung vocals on tracks like “AYO” and “What Love Is” with a smoldering intensity that always leaves ticket buyers wanting more.

BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:

Lolawolf was formed in 2013 by actress and singer Zoe Kravitz and producers James Levy and Jimmy Giannopoulos. The group gave their first performance later that year at New York City’s Mercury Lounge, and in early 2014 they released their self-titled debut EP. Their unique sound and stylish live shows attracted considerable attention, leading to high-profile tours in support of superstars like Lily Allen and Miley Cyrus. In October 2014 the band released their debut album Calm Down, a genre-defying sonic romp that they recorded at Lenny Kravitz’s Bahamas home using all analog equipment. The album was a critical success, leading to more touring and several major festival appearances. With their EP Everyf**kinday generating more buzz in 2015, Lolawolf has fans dying to catch one of their highly coveted live shows on tour.

Zoe knows how to keep it 1hunnid

It was truly an amazing experience. The best concert I have been too. I love you Lolawolf. The only downfall was that there were drunk girls before the performance even started I don't think they should even be allowed in, because they can't behave and they're just being pushy, loud and sloppy, it's disgusting. And not only me got annoyed of it but other people as well. We want to enjoy the concert not having to deal by these drunk sloppy girls.

    Kravitz is captivating

Show was great. Only complaint was the cloud of marijuana smoke that I was standing in which was no fault of the band. Zoe Kravitz is a very likable performer and the songs were all stuck in my head the next day (in a good way).
