One of the most fun shows I've ever attended and at a reasonable price. Pubic Enemy played all my faves. Ice Cube played everything I wanted to hear and even going back to the days of NWA.
Loved this event, everyone of the groups rocked!!!!!
So I have had the nickname Flav since I was 13, due to my competitive edge. So being at the show while Chuck D and Flavor Flav ran off the stage into the crowd was super dope. As I'm looking at Chuck, not knowing Flav is walking up behind me. I turn around and the man I got my nickname from walked right to me and shook my hand and gave me a hung on the way back to the stage, while on the mic. Then during the LL Cool J set, while I'm standing by the bar, my guy LL looks over the crowd, and who does he find but me. Points at me and chunks the deuce at me, like what up. I acknowledged by throwing it back like we knew each other. Haha...ask the ladies around me including my fiance where not to happy about that. Lmfao! Had a great time, and will be back at The Cove.
AMAZING! Every group was awesome. This was my first concert best night of my life!
All four acts were on point. It was a really good show.
High Energy, Great Performances. LL Cool J went last. . .should have gone on before PE and Ice Cube. LL's performance was too long and lacked excitement. Would liked to have heard a longer set from Public Enemy.
I had an awesome time at the show. I thought every act was very entertaining and just plain off the hook. Was well worth the money.
Great performance by all, but Ice Cube definitely laid it down best!
This was a great show! The music,of course, was awesome. The bonus was that everything ran so smoothly. No long waits between shows, no half-hearted performances. All the acts were true professionals. If you're under 30, go see how hip hop is supposed to be.
For old school hip hop lovers it gets no better,these artists deliver!They performed all there hits and then some!
All the acts from De La Soul to LL Cool J was great.
Phenomenal lineup that is worth the price of admission. Best sounding rap concert except maybe for the Beastie Boys.
It was a great show. I was so glad that I had a table to see the show and see all the fans in attendance. The venue was very nice and I hope to attend another event there in the future. This is one of those classics that you have to see.
Waited in line for 45 min and discovered we missed the opening act-De La Soul. Joint did not open early enough to get nearly half their audience into theater to see opening act-De La. Basically the reason I went to this concert in the first place. Joint shoulda opened up theater much earlier and had a nice dj playing old school hip hop to entertain fans. Between acts too! Disappointed in the entire experience. Tix were $55 but came to $75 after "fees".
LL Cool J was amazing; he is soooo bigger & deffer.....It was good to see Chuck D cause I am from the old scool of 1987' when they were dropping their album's: Ice Cube's voice is above average, and I liked when he performed Natural Born Killers. It was an incredible, and amazing show, and I can never get enough of seing LL Cool J as he bring's Rock The Bell's back, and it is my all time favorite even in the current society.
LL was there for the ladies ... Public Enemy was incredible with live instruments and ChuckD's vocal is as catchy as all ways !! I would have to say Ice Cube was off the hook with WC wich was a total surprise that he was there . Cube's stage presence and show was off the chain !! Would have love to see him drop Dope Man and Steady Mobbin' but it was incredible !!!
Took me back to my era 87-95. Would see again if they had seating.
It was fun all around.. Fun safe place.. It rocked...
This concert was off the hook! I am going to look them up so I can see them near my hometown. If you love any of these performers you don't want to miss this show. Wonderful!
I was looking forward to all artists equally, not having listened to any of them for many years. All exceeded expectations, except for LL Cool J. All by himself, he could not compare to the play that others had with each other. We left early, sadly before Mama said knock you out, which we were waiting for all night. Public Enemy killed it, and was the best of the night. It's too bad they were on 2nd, so their set was too short.
