About

+LIVE+ have sold over 23 million albums worldwide and earned two number one albums: Throwing Copper and Secret Samadhi. Their catalog is filled with such gems as "Lightning Crashes," "I Alone," "All Over You" and "Lakini's Juice," which live on today as classics on rock radio. Throwing Copper--which the band celebrated in 2019 with a deluxe 25th anniversary edition along with a global tour across major festivals, amphitheaters and arenas--produced the band's biggest single, "Lightning Crashes," which was #1 at Modern Rock radio for ten consecutive weeks.

Throwing Copper reached #1 on the Billboard Top 200 and eventually surpassed sales of 10 million albums sold, with Rolling Stone honoring the album with placement on their list, "1994: The 40 Best Records From Mainstream Alternative's Greatest Year." Secret Samadhi (1997) immediately shot to #1 on the Billboard Top 200 and eventually went double platinum. The release of the platinum-selling The Distance to Here (1999) turned +LIVE+ into an international powerhouse and moved the band from arenas into stadiums. +LIVE+ has been and remains today a global concert juggernaut.

I have not seen Live for over 10 years. They look and sound as great as ever! The House of Blues - Cleveland was an intimate venue and really allowed us to enjoy Ed's voice!

Live always puts on a great show! Opening acts were not so great, but Live made up for it.

  • Live Continues to Rock the House!

by Suzie77 on 7/16/09House of Blues San Diego - San DiegoRating: 5 out of 5

Absolutely awesome show! I expect nothing less from one of my favorite bands, Live! This was the 4th time seeing them and I will continue to go to their shows as long as they keep touring! The House of Blues was a cool venue however the place was PACKED and being only 5 feet tall it was impossible to actually see the stage for most of the show but it rocked nonetheless.

  • Perfect

by IzzyG on 7/15/09House of Blues Dallas - DallasRating: 5 out of 5

One of my favorite bands gave an excellent performance. It was the our first time at the House of Blues in Dallas and we were more than pleased. The upstairs bar and lounge was amazing and the bartenders were knowledgable and very friendly. The venue is the perfect size and the sound quality was very good. I will definately return but only if I get floor tickets again.... it rocked!

  • Live's still got it!

by Breauxness on 7/13/09House of Blues Houston - HoustonRating: 4 out of 5

I saw the set list soon after arriving at HOB and was psyched to recognize (and love) nearly every song on there. The few that I had not heard before also rocked. The band really put on a great show led by their energetic front man. This was my second concert at this venue and there does not appear to be a bad seat in the house.

  • Live was an amazing show!

by pantsparty on 7/13/09House of Blues Houston - HoustonRating: 5 out of 5

Live was one of the best shows I've seen. They have great energy and of course their music rocks. It was noticable that the entire band has a lot of passion for what they do, which made it even more enjoyable. The crowd was crazy but the venue made it still seem like an intimate concert.

  • Live needs to be more 'Live'

by Planomax on 7/13/09House of Blues Dallas - DallasRating: 3 out of 5

Seems Live is less live than a record. Didn't seem to be much added ebnergy compared to the album versions of songs.

  • Nostalgia Gives Way to New Memories

by Butterflysedai on 7/12/09House of Blues Houston - HoustonRating: 5 out of 5

For a band that performed throughout the 90s, their music is not lost in this decade. From the moment they took the stage, their presence was energetic; nothing about it felt old. This was not a tour to promote a new album, so the audience got what it wanted in a variety of hits from all of their past records. Ed Kowalczyk danced and sung, but he also spoke to the audience and made them feel as though they were special. It was great show, with great energy, and if you ever get the chance to see them- go!

  • Live show was great!

by Abdude on 7/11/09House of Blues Houston - HoustonRating: 5 out of 5

There is a reason the call themselves LIVE! They were amazing, can't believe this show did not sell out, I felt a little embarrassed that only the bottom level was full with a few upstairs at House of Blues.

  • Live rocked Live

by Flanagan on 7/11/09House of Blues Dallas - DallasRating: 5 out of 5

I would for sure recommend seeing them in atHouse of Blues. It was a lot more intimate and they sounded amazing.

  • Live Alive in Dallas!

by LarsWodensson on 7/11/09House of Blues Dallas - DallasRating: 5 out of 5

Great show! The sound was clear and loud! Ed's vocals were right on as always and his between song monologues were at times funny, and uplifting. Chad's guitar licks were impeccible, and Pat's bass riffs were powerful, thumping right through your chest. Chad Gracey's work on the skins made your heart want to try to keep up with the beat. They played some great old favorites, and some of the newer songs as well. Between the hard rocking hits and the melodious ballads, it was an emotional rollercoaster that feels like you've been through a spiritual epiphany. I see these guys everytime the come to Dallas and thier shows get better and better. The venue was great at the House of Blues too, becasue I was standing only 2 to 4 people from the front of the stage barriers.

  • There's nothing like a Live show!

by JGr3g on 7/11/09House of Blues Dallas - DallasRating: 4 out of 5

After over 15 yeArs of performances, live still rocked it out like pros. The energy of the band in combination with the intimacy of the house of blues, set a scene not even a deaf person would forget. With all the favorite tracks played, as well as an old tune by Bob Dylan sang acoustic gave way to a very unforgetable night in Dallas Texas.

  • LIVE was the best show I've ever seen

by greeneyes2 on 7/11/09Shortys At Cypress Bayou Casino - CharentonRating: 5 out of 5

I was extremely excited to be at a standing room only concert, second row from the stage. I've also seen them at the Cajundome. This was so much more personal. I think that it is great that the play smaller venues.

  • One of their best shows

by Gizgam on 7/11/09House of Blues Houston - HoustonRating: 5 out of 5

First I must state that +Live+ is my favorite band of all time so take that into consideration. This was my 7th time to see them. My favorite show of their's was at Aerial Theater (Verizon Wireless now) during the Distance to Here tour. This show at the House of Blues ranks right next to it. There was a lot more energy in the building for this show versus their last 2 visits to Houston. Probably because they stayed away from the softer Black Mountain songs. The band seemed to choose a set list that encompassed their full journey as a band. The stand out songs for me were "Hold Me Up" which I heard on bootleg recording back in the Napster days and the new song "Believe" which I had never heard. I was extremely happy with this show. Unfortunately they will not be back for awhile because of their hiatus, but maybe Ed will roll through town doing his solo stuff. Either way, whenever +Live+ comes to town, I go. They never disappoint.
