Mavis Staples knocked it out of the park on Change and Rachel Price put it into the stratosphere with an incredible White Rabbit. Live from Here is an incredibly entertaining show with Chris Thile as the Master of Entertainment. The musicianship on the show is par none! If you are in NYC go see it live or stream it live the day of the show.
Paul Simon cancelled at the last minute due to a cold. Wishing him all the best for a quick recovery. However, the show was so great that by the end i was (joking) going "Paul who?" Everybody was great: Rachael & Vilray, Jennine Garafalo, Chris Thile and the house band. But Mavis Staples stole the show. Her first number blew the audience out of their seats. So... highlights: Chris Thile mandolin playing, Mavis Staples and Rachael Price's "White Rabbit" !
This was a perfect piece of entertainment! Chris is a sensational host and fine musician. He surrounds himself with great people who are music virtuosos, comedians and writers in the historic Town Hall, for a reasonable price! And you’re on your way by 8:10 p.m. to sample more NYC!
One of the most incredible demonstrations of musicianship and artistry I’ve ever seen. Fully entertaining show from front to back. Chris Thile is the Lebron James of Mandolin.
Show setup was as good as possible. Wished the music was more expanded but I understand. Seats were terrible.
I had never heard of the monthly radio show, at least in current formation, and was very entertained. While I went specifically for Trey Anastasio, the host, Chris Thile was incredibly entertaining, as were the other guests. A fun night with a PHENOMENAL musical lineup! Would tune in again !
This was an epic evening. Trey - I didn't need anything else (though we got so much more). The Lincoln Center Jazz Orchestra! Chris Thile - he's a-dork-able and so much fun to watch, really. They even sang a Dixie Chicks song. My heart was so full after this evening of music. Thank you!
Chris Thile’s show was superb, from the banter to the music to the guests. It was top notch show. Highly recommend!

The Live From Here Shows are fantastic, I have seen most of the NYC shows. I plan to go to everyone that I can. Chris Thile is a master musician and well organized host.
Chris is a great host and makes you feel like you are his friend. His band is amazing and the musical guests were top notch. Added Joseph to a unique playlist and Tom Papa to my reading list. A great time to be had by all!
First time seeing “Live from Here”. Went to see the lumineers but was really impressed with the entire show. Chris Thile is awesome. Great player, singer, and just overall super positive vibe. His band is equally impressive. My whole family loved it and want to come Back and see another show!
I thought I was going to a concert to see the Lumineers but it was a variety show. The show was good, Chris Thile and the guests were very talented but I was disappointed that The Lumineers only played 4 songs.
If you like acoustic music, there isn't a better show anywhere.
Fantastic concert! Excellent musicians and a varied musical menu, ranging from bluegrass to Bach, with varied genres in between! Guest appearance of Jake Gyllenhall! Beyond expectations!

I was a lifetime fan of Prairie Home Companion. It must have been very difficult to step into Garrison Keillor’s shoes. Now, however, after renaming the show and after the retirement of all prior cast members, Chris Thile has come into his own as an effective story teller and radio host. This is now his show with his format and it was much better than when he first took it over.
My dream was to see Garrison at the Ryman some day...next best, to see Live from Here at the Ryman. Dream came true
Seeing Chris Thile in the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville was magical, like a snow covered Christmas morning!
An amazing performance all around. Superb musicianship. Great comedy. The musical guests were stellar.
