Great songs deserve a great band, this is it
by Adam on 8/29/25Rating: 5 out of 56/14/25 Live Dead & Brothers played a great show jamming mostly Grateful Dead and Allman Brothers Band tunes with expert chops and proper pedigree. The band includes members of Bob Weir & RatDog, Phil Lesh & Friends, and a son of the original Allman Brothers Band bassist (Berry Duane Oakley, the younger dude on the bass). With Steve Kimock's blazing guitar skills it was a great night of music. We had a great spot on the rail with some fun people. An added bonus was the VIP early entry to the soundcheck for a group of only 8 fans. It was fascinating listening in on the banter while the guys reviewed song starts, confirmed key changes and worked on a few grooves. It was a fun show in a great room.
