LITTLE SIMZ IN CONCERT:

Experimental London rapper Little Simz has been astonishing fans with her motor-mouthed flows and cerebral productions ever since she debuted in 2010. Bumping grooves, skillful wordplay, and atmospheric textures have set her apart from the pack, and the growing crowds at her powerhouse performances prove that she's ready to bring these heady sounds to a global audience. Delivering vivid detail at light speed, this wordsmith invites ticket buyers into the thoughtful worlds she conjures on standouts like "Dead Body", "The Hamptons", and "Top Down". Little Simz brings her fresh rhymes to life in concert with her fierce stage presence and energetic crowd interactions, and hip hop fans should catch this rap prodigy's colorful narratives and envelope-pushing loops while she's still on the come up.

BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:

Simbi Ajikawo (aka Little Simz) grew up in North London, where she started pursuing the performing arts at an early age. Her first big break in entertainment came in 2010 when she was cast in the BBC series Spirit Warriors, but she felt that music was her true calling and soon released her first mix tape STRATOSPHERE. Before long her progressive hip hop sound caught on, and Jay-Z's Life+Times website distributed her 2013 mixtape Blank Canvas. She threw herself even deeper into her craft the following year, releasing four EPs of original material before embarking on her AGE101 DROP THE WORLD Tour. The rising star didn't slow down in 2015 and released her full-length debut The Curious Tales of Trials + Persons to widespread acclaim. With performance chops that rival her cutting-edge recordings, Little Simz has audiences waiting with bated breath to see what she comes up with next.

Last night final show of the tour here in Hollywood produced an electric vibe that wasn't too be ignored. The crowd was grooving to everything that Little Simz and her band collaborated on stage. And, speaking of the band. All players on stage, from the Bass, Drums, Guitar, and keys were dynamic. Each performer showcased their talents to the fullest. And, the Rap artists and DJ from Louisiana who opened the show were spectacular and had the audience bouncing on to the positive lyrics he was MC-ing on stage. May all the talented great young performing artists on stage continue to thrive on and share their beautiful stories and experiences in the world 🌎 of musical arts and poetry. Thanks to the Palladium and KCRW. ESPECIALLY KCRW for drawing my name from the contest entry and receiving complimentary tickets to an outstanding and talented people in the performing arts.

Little Simz continues to astound me! Her ability to use her raw talent to motivate others about vulnerability and creativity makes my heart flutter. She not only made the audience vibrate with her powerful vocals and cunning lyrics but she put a spotlight on all of her band members. This woman is the best of the best. I love her and will forever be a fan girl.

Just an amazing gig, captivating, exhilarating and inspirational. She is a force of nature and impossible to take your eyes off, one of the best gigs I have ever been to. I was in the “I like her” gang to now the “I love her” after seeing her live

The word astounding is major, and this show was beyond. I knew that based off sheer talent, it was going to be a great show, but she brought the most beautiful, vulnerable, powerful, ingenious energy possible. It was a genre bending feast of music and love. I paid five times as much as tickets ended up being day of because I bought them when they immediately went on sale Normally that would’ve upset me, but I have to say that this concert was worth every penny and more. I look at it as a contribution to her greatness.

She was INCREDIBLE! The concert was amazing and her opening act was fire—21 years old from New Orleans. Will see her whenever she comes through. Until next time!
