Little River Band on Tour

"The Best Singing Band in the World" -- as proclaimed by the Eagles' Glenn Frey -- otherwise known as Australian pop-rock group Little River Band, has returned for a 2022 tour celebrating the release of their much-anticipated greatest hits collection, Black Tie. Known for their polished vocals and harmonizing soft-rock hits like 1978's "Reminiscing" and "Lady," Little River Band is a five-piece group that has sold more than 30 million records, and set the record in 1982 for having Top 10 hits in six consecutive years. Fans praise live performances from the Australian group for their vocal and musical energy, great arrangements and timeless classics. Each Little River Band show is sure to create lasting memories. Their new tour has more than 100 scheduled dates from Florida to Minnesota to Arizona and everywhere in between.

Little River Band in Concert

LRB formed in Melbourne in 1975 when lead singer Glenn Shorrock and guitarist Beeb Birtles merged their established success in previous ventures to cement their status in an already vibrant Australian rock scene. Current frontman and longest tenured member Wayne Nelson joined the band five years later as a bassist and vocalist. Nelson has contributed to 23 of Little River Band's studio album releases over 42 years, and many of their major hits, including "Take It Easy on Me," "The Night Owls" and "The Other Guy." Shorrock and Birtles left the group and briefly returned, contributing to a turnstile of rotating members coming and going that would plague the group for years. By 1998, no original members of LRB remained, and Nelson and Stephen Housden would claim legal rights to the band's name. In 2004 the Australian Recording Industry Association Hall of Fame inducted the 1976 lineup of Little River Band -- Graeham Goble, Glenn Shorrock, Beeb Birtles, Derek Pellicci, David Briggs, and George McArdle -- during a ceremony at the 18th Annual ARIA Music Awards. The band's latest release, Black Tie, is a passionate, energetic collection of live performances of the core group with an injection of spirit from the Craig Turley Rock Symphony. Current members of Little River Band include: Wayne Nelson, Chris Marion (keys), Bruce Wallace (guitar), Ryan Ricks (drums/percussion), and Colin Whinnery (guitar).

    Awesome Show

by Mimmie P on 4/2/24IP Casino Resort and Spa - Biloxi

I cannot express the joy we felt seeing the LRB. They were awesome. They played all the great songs, had wonderful interactions with the fans, and had the crowd singing along throughout the entire show. I cannot wait until they come back near us, I would splurge on front row…they were that good.

    Great evening!

by Cheryl on 3/26/24Peabody Auditorium - Daytona Beach

You never know how a band is going to sound in our current day & time from the 70's & 80's. The Little River Band did not disappoint. Everyone had great vocals! Music was great and loved the new song.

    A great show

by Jim B on 3/25/24Peabody Auditorium - Daytona Beach

I have been wanting to se them live for a full show for years. Since retiring, my wife and I have enjoyed traveling to concerts of the old bands we grew up with (we’re in our 70’s) all across the country. We’re Disney junkies too so the Daytona beach concert provided an opportunity for both. The show was great and fully met my expectations. They rocked it and rocked it good! My wife though would have preferred a little less rock and music more true to the albums. This is not to be confused with the songs being wrong, just she prefers the more less rocky versions. I on the other hand LOVED IT.

    Not Little River Band

by Butch on 3/24/24Peabody Auditorium - Daytona Beach

Only one guy from the original band, but he has legal rights to the band name, so he gets to call his band The Little River Band....bogus! The band did not even come close to sounding like the original, not in any way. This is blatant mis-leading by the band and its promoters. They should be ashamed, especially when they don't sound ANYTHING like the original, and then advertise themselves like they are the real thing. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY----DON'T GO......yeah, some cover bands do a great job of replicating the original, but not these guys.

    Talented musicians

by LauraLou on 3/24/24Peabody Auditorium - Daytona Beach

I loved the show, the band is really tight and outgoing. They throw out a lot of guitar pics because on the back is a scan code linking to their merchandise store. That is smart marketing. I forgot that they played so many sappy love songs, but everyone knows all of these songs. The band has been performing for fifty years, I remember them from the 70s. It is a good mellow concert and quite enjoyable.

LRB were great, the audience were appalling

by aussiekez on 3/24/24Peabody Auditorium - Daytona Beach

The band were great, the audience were rude, constantly walking out during songs, doors from the auditorium opening and closing every few minutes. People holding conversations around us as the band chatted or sang. Not looking forward to my next show Stomp, hoping it will be better.

    Wonderful date night

by Elsa on 3/24/24Peabody Auditorium - Daytona Beach

My husband took me on a date night to see Little River Band. Everything was perfect. The price was reasonable. The facility , the Peabody Auditoriuhm, was clean and beautiful. I am a terminally ill disabled party and when we entered the auditorium we were immediately greated by an usher who escorted us to the proper door to access our handicap seating. They put us right outside the door so that another usher who was at that door could escort us in first. The band was in top form and they sang each of my top 4 favs. They were so engaging with the audience. This was our second time attending a concer at the Peabody and both times were perfect. It was a perfect bucket list evening.

    Fun Reminiscing

by Missy on 3/20/24Wells Hall at The Parker - Ft Lauderdale

We saw a little River band at the park in Fort Lauderdale. we had great fun. The music was wonderful… I could tell that the musicians were really enjoying performing together. They were smiling they were bringing in the audience. We loved all the music… And they even stayed afterwards to speak with their “fans “they were also personable. We enjoyed the venue. Was not too large. So it was very comfortable. We had the great luck of sitting in the front row… So we felt like we were right on stage with them so that’s always fun. They introduced a couple new songs . Which were catching and we like the song very much.

A Nice Musical Night for All

by Happy Ticketholder on 3/20/24Wells Hall at The Parker - Ft Lauderdale

The band played a tight set that covered all of the hits that the audience was undoubtedly hoping they would play and also played a couple of notable songs from their upcoming album. The band's well known harmonies were spot on and the guitar work, among other instruments, was well done. Their was plenty of enthusiastic audience participation which also helps to make for an enjoyable evening. I was happy to be a prat of it all.

    Fun!

by Almostgem on 3/19/24Wells Hall at The Parker - Ft Lauderdale

What a fun concert. The band members interacted with the audience quite a bit throwing guitar picks to people in the front rows. A lady next to me had her phone taken by one of the band members at one point and recorded an intimate look at the band members for her (Probably 4 or 5 minutes of footage during one song). The music was great, all of their old hits plus a couple of new songs from an upcoming album. This was at the Parker. This was the first time being there, but all I can say is WOW ! We were in the 4th Row (D) to the left of center stage , but close enough that we felt like we were right there.

GREAT VENUE BUT BAND IS SO SO

by RD on 3/19/24Wells Hall at The Parker - Ft Lauderdale

There is not one original band member and lead singer was off key. Secondary singer were much younger and much better voice. Still had a good time.
