    High hopes

by Fisher on 3/7/22Kalamazoo State Theatre - Kalamazoo

The Kalamazoo State Theater is a wonderful place to experience your favorite performers. Little Feat is a band I’ve been looking forward to for years. The energy of the band and the crowd was amazing. Unfortunately the sound mix was atrocious. Instruments were ridiculously loud while the vocals were barely understandable. Had I not known the songs it would have been difficult to understand what was been sung. There’s not much you can do under the circumstances. We left early and enjoyed the album in the car for the drive home.

    A night with Little Feat

by Billy on 3/7/22Kalamazoo State Theatre - Kalamazoo

A absolutely great time, minute pauses, great songs with really great jam sessions built in. Don't know what else to say, we just loved it.

The band sounds like they’ve been playing together for years. Great show! Feat didn’t fail.

First off the band was very good but

by Captain on 1/24/22The Charleston Music Hall - Charleston

The audience was VERY rowdy, standing in front of my wife and I the whole time and standing in the aisle and in front of the stage. The ushers did NOTHING to move the people back to their seats. Beer and wine was sold the entire time and most of the crowd was very drunk, the man standing in front of us got mad at me because I told him to sit down and nearly started a fight (he too was drunk). The lady sitting/standing to the right of my wife spilt wine all over my wifes blouse. I have been going to concerts for a very long time so I understand how people want to have a good time but not at the expense of others, we paid a lot of money to see Little Feat and all and all it was a bad experience. I don't care who you bring to Charleston Music Hall, if you do nothing about the sell of alcohol during the entire concert I WILL NEVER GO TO THIS VENUE EVER AGAIN. Most venues sell beer wine and liquor but you can not take it inside the concert area, that would stop what happened with the Little Feat concert. This is a great performance hall it's a shame it has to be ruined this way.

    Lack of control

by VIP experience on 1/23/22The Charleston Music Hall - Charleston

The band was GREAT!!!! What sucked was that paying for front row seats and having to fight people that were in the aisles and in front of the stage blocking ones view of the band. Charleston Music Hall needs to get control of the people and return them to their seats.

    Great show!

by Devey Cockett on 1/23/22The Charleston Music Hall - Charleston

The band has its energy level, tight playing, and joy in performing back! The crowd was really into the music, which helped LF perform at a very high level.

Little Feat did not disappoint. They had a good set list and of course the jam was excellent.

Little Feat is still a force

by WillieP on 1/23/22The Charleston Music Hall - Charleston

Excellent concert. Band just as good as when I saw them in 1978. There were a couple old songs Like Fat Man in the Bathtub that I would like to have heard but that did not detract from the concert at all.

    Just So-so

    by W. K. on 10/13/19

Although the song selection was great and the performances of keyboardist/vocalist Bill Payne and bassist Kenny Gradney were uniformly excellent, the absence of lead guitarist/vocalist Paul Barrere was keenly felt. Opening act guitarist Larry Campbell made a valiant effort to play both lead and slide guitar but made several audible gaffes (to be fair, he had only been playing in Barrere's place for a few shows prior to the Des Moines concert) and some of the songs just ain't right without Barrere's voice. The jammed-out sections of some of the tunes (most notably Payne's "Day or Night") were overlong and frankly boring. Much as I have always loved this great band I have seen them in much better days and it's sad to see the ravages of time and illness take their toll. The audience was generous with applause and clearly in a supportive mood, but the overall emotion I felt was disappointment. Too bad.
