Saw Little Feat 3 years ago at same venue and they were REALLY good. Had high anticipation for this show and came away not as pumped as last time but they "run rings" around most performers. The music is great, and performed by great musicians. The mix was a little off at times with the volume being too loud. That clouded the clarity and distinction of the individual artists. But the overall performance was good. LF has never disappointed and I have seen them numerous times. A concert bonus was opening act...Acoustic Hot Tuna. I will just say this....the Boys still have it!!!

Of the 20+ times I've seen Little Feat, this was probably the best performance I've ever seen from them. Played the entire Waiting For Columbus album in order. It was awesome!

  • Outstanding Little Feat performance

    by Socpapa on 4/18/22F.M. Kirby Center - Wilkes-BarreRating: 5 out of 5

Everything was perfect, from Hot Tuna through the encore. The "Join the Band" opening into Fat Man in the Bathtub set the stage for all that followed. Every person in the theater was on their "feat" for Dixie Chicken! A great mix of the original Band members and great new additions. The sound in the Kirby Center was just splendid! Would go again tomorrow! Socpapa

Little Feat at the Scottish Rite Auditorium was a great show! I had never seen Little Feat or had been to the Scottish Rite Auditorium before this show. The 2022 spring tour celebrates the 45th anniversary of "Waiting for Columbus", not only one their best albums, but undoubtedly one of the best live rock n roll albums ever! The auditorium is beautiful and the sound is good. There is not a bad seat in house. I really liked the ambiance and architecture inside the auditorium. The current version of Little Feat includes founding member Bill Payne on keyboards and vocals, Ken Gradney on bass, percussionist Sam Clayton, Fred Tackett on guitar and mandolin, drummer Tony Leone and Scott Sharrard on guitar and vocals. Sam Clayton and Ken Gradney have been with the band since they reformed in 1972 and Fred Tackett joined in the late 80's before the release of "Let it Roll". Toney Leone and Scott Sharrard are newcomers. Last, but certainly not least, the Midnight Ramble horn section (Jay Collins, Steven Bernstein and Erik Lawrence) was essential for this performance and provided that signature Little Feat New Orleans bluesy sound. The familiarity and cohesiveness among the band members was on full display. They opened with "Fat Man in the Bathtub" as I was walking into the auditorium and it was a good version, despite some obvious sound adjustments that were needed and being made during the song. They played the entire "Waiting for Columbus" record practically in the same order as it is on the original live album with a couple exceptions, including "Don't Bogart Me (Fraternity of Men)" and "A Apolitical Blues (Sailin Shoes)" inserted between great versions of "Willin" and "Sailin Shoes". "Spanish Moon" was a lot of fun and "Dixie Chicken" got everyone going! "Rocket in My Pocket" was energetic and powerful. Overall, the jamming was intense, psychedelic at times and very impressive. The videos seen on the large screen behind the band were entertaining as well and provided a nice backdrop for the music. I was very pleased with the title track from "Let it Roll" as the final encore. Wow, what a show! I highly recommend seeing Little Feat during this tour if you can. You won't be disappointed.

It was just an amazing display of amazing talent all evening long!! The Quintet was exceptional !! And then "Waiting For Columbus" was perfectly recreated by old and a few wonderful new additions to the band. Just absolutely amazing!! What a night!

  • Great Music, Great Crowd, Too Loud

by Mark W. on 4/15/22Beacon Theatre - New YorkRating: 4 out of 5

It was fantastic to see Little Feat again, doing the entire set of my favorite album of theirs. Seeing the others there, it was like I was looking in the mirror. The only issue I had was that they had the volume up so high that it distorted the sound. Luckily, I had earplugs, but it was hard to hear the subtleties in the keyboard when it was drowned out by the overloud bass and amplified drums.

  • Great Little Feat show at the Beacon

by Doc on 4/15/22Beacon Theatre - New YorkRating: 5 out of 5

Little Feat put on an energetic show with stellar musicianship and the great Waiting For Columbus songs at The Beacon Theater in NYC on April 12, 2022. It’s a beautiful venue, so I posted some photos. It was a raucous crowd with David Bromberg and his top-notch band opening. The fans stood the whole show and sang along. Our 35 year old son (who was subjected to LF tunes as a youngster while being held hostage in car rides) could not get over how good the band sounded and the energy of the crowd. The Midnight Ramble Horns injected some punch and fun to the show. The three guys were having as good a time as the audience. Billy Payne said, “Tony Leone is a helluva drummer.” Truth. Scott Sharrard’s guitar work was stellar and his slide sound is the closest to Lowell’s I’ve heard. On some solos Scott replicated Lowell’s licks from Waiting for Columbus. There was a lot of smiling onstage by the musicians. Steve Kimock, Jon Leventhal, and Tommy Emmanuel are all ultra-talented and played on a song or two apiece. MIA was Roseanne Cash as we expected her to come out to sing Willin’ when her husband, Leventhal, came onstage to play. Sam Clayton and Bettye Lavette had a wonderful duet on a blues song that had some remnants of Apolitical Blues in it.

  • Big Feat

by Rockit Girl on 4/15/22Beacon Theatre - New YorkRating: 5 out of 5

The concert was excellent for those who love great musicians. Little Feat besides playing their repertoire, had brought on additional musicians that you may not recognize their names, but when we looked them up they had amazing resumes. Worthwhile concert go see Little Feat.

Fantastic acoustics. Band was very tight. Worth every penny. Beacon theater is beautiful and staff is very friendly. An excellent venue for concerts. The band played the whole Waiting for Columbus album. It was so much fun.

  • Little Feat @ Beacon

by Jan on 4/15/22Beacon Theatre - New YorkRating: 1 out of 5

Not only did one of the announced guests not show up, but the sound was also awful from the expensive seats we booked (last row, behind the mixing desk). And the spotlights of the security looking for people filming with their smartphone was annoying. A night to quickly forget. Still am a Little feat-fan, though.

  • Great show!

by Debbie N on 4/15/22Beacon Theatre - New YorkRating: 5 out of 5

Great show! This is a band of terrific musicians, and they played their asses off. All the songs I know and love, and I sang along with most of them. No fancy pyrotechnics, no fancy stage production (although there were many musicians on the stage!), but a great show. I would go again if I could!

  • Incredible!
