Great music played together… Youth & elders played Little Feat’s music from 1973-2022 sound
The Brown County music Center is an awesome venue, I don’t think there’s a bad seat in the house. It was my first time ever seen a Little Feat and I was not disappointed by any means. They were absolutely phenomenal. And they did do a two song encore. I would definitely see them again. The only improvement I could recommend is that they had more people with the merchandise, There were only two people helping the customers in the line was extremely long.
It was hands down the best Little Feat show I’ve ever seen. Billy Payne is exceptional! One of a kind. I’ve seen the band 3 times since 1988. This was the Cherry on Top for me.
I first saw Little Feat with Lowell George in Indianapolis in May 1978, this concert has always been my personal number 1 concert of all time. Since then I have seen Little Feat multiple times, pretty much every new version of the band. The 2022 version of Feat is by far the best version since the Lowell George original group. Scott playing the slide guitar and his killer vocals, and Tony driving beat of his drums and his vocals were both so very good, they seemed to bring the band a whole new energy, and it showed. I will never say any concert was better than Little Feat in 78, but this group was damn near as good, and are definitely in my top 5 concerts of all time. Also The Brown County Music Center is maybe the best place I have ever seen a concert, and anytime you can see a small hall concert do so, because they are the best.
Facility is top notch. Staff and venue was great to host Little Feat. Been following the band for to many years to count. From just 300 people at Dicks Last Resort in Dallas to today. Little Feat is worthy the price no matter where they play. I tip my hat to Andie for such a great experience. Forever remembered.
I’ve been seeing this band every chance I get. Always fantastic.
This is my umpteenth time seeing the band, starting in 1972 They still rock, so much fun and good memories, I will keep going to see them as long as they keep playing!
That was as good as I’ve seen them in many years. Just a fabulous show, playing my favorite record in a tight and powerful way. And the venue only added to the experience, that’s a great place to see a show.
Loved the venue, the audience, and Little Feat. It was a great show! Sound mix was excellent. The band members were more than engaged. They were committed to giving a superb performance. The opening act Nikki Bluhm and Kai were an extra added terrifc surprise.
While Little Feat gave a fantastic show, The Taft Theater left room for improvement. How does a concert venue blow 1 out of 3 of the draft beer choices 30 minutes before the opening act? They had more than one draft location (not many more) but as a ticket holder I shouldnt be required to walk all aroynd a venue looking for a drink. Inexcusable...... Also, while the seating is such that just about anywjere is a great seat, the ushers need to do a better job of making ticket holders comply versus just letting them get away with disrupting the show and then reqarding the disruptive people by allowing them to then move all the way up to the side of the stage.. what we called The Pit while working front stage security @ Riverbend. Little Feat = 👍 The Taft Theater = 👎
The opener, Nicki Bluhm, was wonderful. She has a beautiful voice, great guitar work and interesting songs. When Little Feat took the stage there was no doubt the fans were in for a fun night. They played with energy and enthusiasm and great skill. My only problem was the volume. I had my fingers in my ears during their entire performance. Without blocking the sound it was so loud as to be distorted, for me. With my fingers blocking the sound, I could understand the lyrics and was not overwhelmed with sound.
I go to a fair amount of concerts and this was by far one of the best. great venue as well to hear music.
This concert was not Little Feat, the band should rename themselves, the bass was too dominant, the music on each song went way too long, overkill!!!
Nicki Bluhm was such a fantastic surprise as the opener. It was the first time I had ever heard her and she has a new fan. Little Feat are non stop talent. This was the fourth time I have seen them and they never fail to impress me. F-E-A-T !
The music was good. I felt at times it got too “jam session” like. The voices were muffled. I think vocals need to be more prominent on concerts. It’s always the music is the loudest.
I enjoy Little Feat music but did not realize they are a "jam" band in live performances. It sounded like one continuous song from beginning to end with high range guitar solos and keyboard runs that lost melody making the songs difficult to recognize. I just wanted them to begin a song while remaining in melody and continue until the end. Great musicians but I did not need to be constantly reminded.
Was lucky to see them twice. Taft theatre in cincy and Brown County Playhouse in Nashville, Indiana. Trust me you don't want to miss this 45th celebration of Waiting for Columbus from 1977. The songs are played in order and if your lucky they might give two extra songs like honest man and two trains that were played in Nashville indiana but not cincy. Problem time constraint. It was big large fun and band is playing tight and jamming on each song. I highly recommend Little Feat. 👌
You do not want to miss Little Feat. Go to several shows if you can as they are playing tight and jamming hard. 45th anniversary shows for Waiting on Columbus and it sounds great. Bill, Sam, Kenny, and Fred Tackett are playing superb plus the horns are making it big and fat. Great band and the Commodore Hotel.
Sound was fantastic! Perfect Venue. The boys were incredible. Love the new slide guitarist/vocalist
