Lisa Fischer is the best vocalist I've ever heard. I became aware of her in the Twenty Feet from Stardom film. She was fabulous in the film but she was ASTOUNDING live. As a former professional vocalist in a well-known recording group, I know what it takes to sing well, but I've never heard anyone--including Streisand and Dion--sing like Lisa. You must hear this woman live!
After seeing 20 Feet from Stardom, I knew there was no way I was going to miss Lisa Fischer's performance at Howard Theatre. I left the evening thinking, "after Lisa Fischer's performance, why would I ever want to hear anyone else sing that song (that she performed) again?" Lisa Fischer is a gracious, generous, soul-nourishing singer/musician/artist. What you see is a human being doing what they were born to do -- no question. You see the joy, Spirit, love, and even justice rolling down like waters. She connects with the audience as well a her co-creators of music -- the musicians. She engages, she inspires. I'm so tempted to add extra travel days to my trip so I can see her perform again this spring in Boston.
Lisa Fischer is an incredible artist. I first came to know her after watching 20 Feet from Stardom. Her command of her instrument is impeccable and she does a great job of referencing her previous / current employers by including some of their material and artistry into her own performances. Her song selection / concert order was impeccably organized. She is a sweetheart on stage. Her band was KILLING!!!
Ms. Fischer has an incredibly humble spirit, beautiful soul and incredible voice. If she comes to your City, see her. Period.
Lisa Fischer gave an amazing performance. She has an incredible voice and a truly remarkable ability to reinterpret songs to make them newly wonderful. I only wish there were recordings of her current style. The recordings of her from earlier decades don't even begin to capture her current stunning style.
We had a great time! Lisa was awesome. Beautiful woman with a beautiful voice. I wish it could have been longer - so many songs to hear. Love to see her again.
The long awaited tour was worth the wait. She demonstrated incredible stage presence and vocal ability. It was definitely a spiritually vocal experience.

What an experience!! Lisa and Grand Baton showed what good music is like! Lisa's voice is angelic and her vocal range unbelievable. They gave the audience a blend of old and new, torch, jazz, and rock, The band provided a great match for her singing and dancing.
Ms, Fischer is an accomplished and incomparable vocalist! The accompanying trio Grand Baton, are amazingly talented, and eclectic musicians. An absolutely wonderful concert!
Show was amazing in every sense. It is almost too much to put into words. My friend said she was having a 'spiritual experience' and that it was the best show she had ever seen at The Howard Theatre. When she sang Last Goodbye, I was, literally, in tears. It was that good. Just. Go. See. Her.
I would say her performance is amongst the best I've ever seen. A very special evening. She is a powerhouse talent that is a joy to watch.
I really enjoyed this show. This woman is a true professional singer. She covered different types of music, some of the tunes she had done with the Stones, some jazz and her own jewels from back in the day. It's not often that I get a chance to see a singer of this caliber perform. She really loves singing (and I love hearing her sing) and she got a standing ovation, then came back and did an encore. I'm surprised she not doing some of the singing in some of these animation movies. She even does character impersonations. Her on stage personality is adorable. This is a very gifted woman. I will be seeing her again. Well, when she comes near my area.

This is by far one of the best shows that I have attended. Lisa Fischer is a treasure and her voice is absolutely phenomenal. Grand Baton was a unique surprise and complimented her beautifully. I thoroughly enjoyed myself and my entire table stood on numerous occasions to acknowledge the genius that we were blessed to witness. What a spectacular way to spend a Saturday evening. Thank you Ms. Lisa Fischer and Grand Baton for a lovely, lovely display of freedom, musicality and LOVE!!!!
Lisa Fischer and her group Grand Baton were fantastic!! Lisa was in fine voice and sang from her heart. Grand Baton were a VERY tight trio and you can see and feel the chemistry between them. Lisa sang several Rolling Stones songs with a different twist to the arrangements. She sang using two mics on stage. One for the regular singing and the other one was set up for more colorization (i.e. echo effects) and was EXTREMELY skillful in utilizing both of them. Her singing voice is so flexible that she can sing in a lower vocal register then can soar 5 octaves and do with no effort at all. God given talent! YES...I would go see her perform again and again!! A fan FOREVER!!
I finally saw one of the greats give a concert and she did not disappoint. Lisa Fischer is a master in voice technique. Just loved it!
Simply amazing. Lisa Fischer and her band gave an unforgettable performance - such spirit and energy and the power of diversity in physical appearances, sound, talent and presence. She was born to sing and give joy. Awesome!
Ms. Fischer and band calmed us with a centering opening, like yoga and prayer. Then, she then rocked us into a baptist holy-rolling fervor. She returned us to center, again with old and new music and arrangements that left us all standing and wanting more! And the musical magic that she conjured by using two mics (one to generate some beautiful acoustical echoes). Bravo and welcome back to the spotlight, Ms. Fischer. Please don't leave th pulpit.
Absolutely amazing concert performance all around. Great band and Lisa deserves the Oscar for her incredible vocal range, charismatic personality and she rocks! She is certainly a Hall of Fame candidate and should be right up there with the best of - Diana Ross, Whitney Houston, Patti La Belle et al.
