About

With the release of Living Things in 2012, unflagging rap rock pioneers Linkin Park landed their fourth consecutive No. 1 on the Billboard 200, quickly following up in 2013 with Recharged, a remix album of the release featuring productions by Steve Aoki and KillSonik. The band's increasingly dance-oriented sound was reflected on their 2013 tour dates, which saw Aoki appearing alongside the band in a series of high-energy performances anchored by Aoki's remix of their latest single "A Light That Never Comes." The band's 2000 debut Hybrid Theory was an overnight success, becoming the top-selling album of 2001 and earning the band their first Grammy for single "Crawling." 2003 follow-up Meteora proved an even bigger success, peaking at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 and spawning four No. 1 singles including fan favorites "Faint" and "Numb." The subsequent Meteora World Tour generated millions in ticket sales, firmly cementing the band's ongoing presence at the top of festival bills. In 2013, lead singer Chester Bennington announced his replacement of Scott Weiland as lead singer of '90s alternative icons Stone Temple Pilots, but fans can rest assured – Linkin Park has announced plans to release their sixth studio album with Bennington in 2014, and will perform their debut album Hybrid Theory in full at the 2014 Download Festival.

    Amazing

by TGirlMVC on 9/20/10Best Buy Theater - New York City

The show was amazing. It was a good crowd in a medium size venue. It made it a bit more intimate. Linkin Park did an awesome job. The songs were awesome, the performance was awesome. And like always they gave us an encore which I love. Linkin Park is one of those bands that really knows how to perform. If you get a chance, go see one of their shows. You won't be disappointed.

    LINKIN FREAKIN' PARK

by vvovakes on 9/18/10Best Buy Theater - New York City

This was my 8th viewing of Linkin Park. They've never disappointed. This was their only show in the US this year- and I was glad it was only a 6 drive (round-trip). This show was on the same day as their new album released- so it was even more special. They played just a few new songs- all of which I like. I was hoping for Blackout- but didn't get it! They also played most of my favorites (of course they are ALL my favorites) so I was happy as a clam! The most hilarious part was Bleed it Out! The crowd didn't want to wait for Mike Shinodah's part to start..... so we started (early) without him! Hilarious! Such a great song!!!!!! Great energy - and the fans rock! I love being up front with the die hards!!!!!!!!! My only negative feedback? They didn't play long enough!!!!

    Great show by LP

by bernabook on 9/16/10Best Buy Theater - New York City

Linkin Park as always out on a great show. However after waiting in line for 13 hours the crowd on the line was let into the venue 30 minutes late and there was albout 100 people already there on the barricade. It was terrible. It also would have been nice to know the concert was only 60 minutes long. The band was great, tons of energy and a good mix on new and old songs.

Back After 2 Years and Better Than Ever

by KatKB on 9/16/10Best Buy Theater - New York City

Linkin Park is as excellent as ever, great to have them back after almost 2 years. They did an amazing set list, mixed all the old favorites with their songs from A Thousand Suns. Sounded absolutely amazing, I wanted them to play all night.

I've heard some people say Linkin Park have gone soft with their new album, but after this show it's clear they haven't lost it a bit.

Linkin Park is just Mind Blowing

by JayyS29 on 9/16/10Best Buy Theater - New York City

Linkin Park is just an incredible group of artists who put on a show unlike any other. They sound better live than they do on their albums and stay true to their sound while exploring other musical avenues and they incorporate these elements into a fantastic live show like I have never seen. The Best Buy Theater was a clean location and my friend and I did not feel crammed in or as if we had no room. The band in collaboration with the venue made for an experience that I will never forget, not only a huge fan of Linkin Park, but as a patron of Best Buy Theater.

Linkin Park Album Release Show, NYC

by Womble on 9/16/10Best Buy Theater - New York City

It is always great to see one of your favorite bands who have risen to arena tours or larger playing a much smaller venue. So it was on Tuesday 9/14 at the Nokia/Best Buy Theater in NYC as LP played their only US show of 2010 to acknowledge the release of their latest album, A Thousand Suns. After coming on stage to the intro from the new album (The Requiem I think) they blasted in to New Divide. What followed was essentially a 'best of' set with surprisingly few (I counted about 3 or 4) of the new songs sprinkled throughout. As you might imagine the favorites from previous albums absolutely rocked the house as we have come to expect. Opinions on the new stuff are divided. I think some of it sounded better live than it does on the album, but this is all new music and quite a different sound for LP - it may just take a while for some of these to build into classics. The set was relatively brief (1 hour for the main set with only a couple of encores) raising for the first and only time the idea that this wasn't so much an LP show as a 'Best Buy Theater inauguration show with guests LP'. But as usual the guys gave it their all on put on a rockin' show for a Tuesday night. The only thing that sucked was my train ride back to Philly, but it was worth it :)

    Linkin Park was amazing!!!

by BicSpe on 9/16/10Best Buy Theater - New York City

Simply put this was an amazing show! I wish they played more smaller venues, but I understand that the big ones bring in more fans which equals more money. This was their first US show in about 2 years I think and I was very lucky to have gone there. It was well worth the bus ride from DC up to NYC. It happened on the day before my birthday so that made it all the better. I will never forget the night they played in NYC!!!!

    LP rocks the house

by mika23 on 9/16/10Best Buy Theater - New York City

This was my first time in NYC and it was a great one! I flew out there from LA that morning just to see them play. I was excited since it's been about a year since they played live. I was very happy that they played some of their older songs as well as a few from the new album. The venue was small enough to get an intimate feel. There was no bad seat in the house and I was on the second tier where it was standing room only. I loved it!

    Linkin Park is so energetic!

by polyop05 on 9/16/10Best Buy Theater - New York City

This was my third time seeing Linkin Park, but I'm still not tired of them and don't think I ever will be when it comes to their live shows. They performed new stuff, which was great, but did old stuff, too. They're very energetic, very into the crowd and they always sound and look great.

    As much energy as ever!

by MikeO111 on 9/16/10Best Buy Theater - New York City

Great venue to see a concert. Small and intimate! LP rocked the stage with an 18 song playlist! They brought as much energy as they ever have! They played a mix of music from all 4 studio albums and as always they were great with all of it. One of the best concerts I've ever been too!

    souned amazing but was short

by bowsersauce on 9/16/10Best Buy Theater - New York City

LP sounded amazing and put on a great show but it was to short. Their setlist was only about 13 songs not including 2 or 3 intros. Also there was no opener. I stood in line longer than i heard music. On their performance and sound alone id give them5 stars, but the lenght as just to short, especially for 65 dollar tickets, so 3 stars.
