    Amazing Show

    by Chris81877 on 12/18/18The Paramount - Huntington

I tend to say all shows are amazing. However, the Paramount is such a great venue that I am never disappointed there. Life of Agony was also amazing. Its been 9 years since I last saw them (at the Crazy Donkey). They hit the River Runs Red album pretty hard, as they tend to, and a couple of deeper cuts I wasn't expecting. That's what makes a show great...having those songs and moments that catch you off guard positively. I hope they can make their way to L.I. again soon.

    LOA

by Mattymarylandmidatlantic on 10/3/18Baltimore Soundstage - Baltimore

LOA shows are rare, so with the band at a small club in Baltimore, attendance was mandatory. LOA as usual did not disappoint

    Starland Show Was Incredible

by Bannister on 9/15/14Starland Ballroom - Sayreville

This band is a must-see. True professionals of their craft. You can see they love playing for their fans. A set list which comprised a great mix of their older stuff and newer tunes. Their t-shirts are of the highest quality American cotton and the designs show true craftsmanship. The merch team are the friendliest in the business.

    LOA was excellent!

    by Jovanna79 on 1/31/11Starland Ballroom - Sayreville

I had so much fun @ this show! Had some drinks, saw a bunch of old friends... LOA and VOD have been my favorite bands since I was 15 years old, and having them together was awesome!!

    L.O.A. need I say more...

    by PhenomX19 on 1/31/11Starland Ballroom - Sayreville

Life of Agony are without a doubt the greatest band that most have never heard of. I have been listening to them for over 17 years now, and always try to see them when they come around, which is not very often. This is not really a bad thing, for it makes the shows that much better, and makes them feel special. They are an amazing band, amazing live, and a major part of my musical life. Keith sounded really great tonite also, very on point, even though Keith was being Keith... Thanks boys.... nothing but RESPECT....

    Life of Agony was Agony

    by T1m2j3t4 on 1/31/11Starland Ballroom - Sayreville

VOD and Arnica stole the LOA show...the singer from LOA looked like he could barely hold himself up on stage....very disappointing

Life of Agony put on a great show. Too many opening bands though. Not fun having to sit for four hours before the main band comes on.

    Life of Agony

by TimmyHands on 1/30/11Starland Ballroom - Sayreville

Starland is a great place to see a show - kind of. The crowd tends to be full of overly-inebriated chuckleheads who sometimes look for excuses to cause problems. This time however, it was pretty peaceful. The opening bands outside of VOD were what you would call "metal." I use the quotations because they actually played heavy metal music, not "nu metal." Didn't dig the two openers, but they were good at what they do. VOD is no longer a hardcore band. They actually haven't been a hardcore band since circa 1995 and you can make the argument even before that. That doesn't stop them from still knowing how to command a stage. They were better this time around then they were a little over a month ago at the Best Buy show, but not by much. As for Life of Agony, they were on an even higher level than they were at the aforementioned Best Buy show. Thankfully, "Other Side of the River" made its way into the set list and it was tighter and more passionate than I can remember hearing live in ages. Most of RRR was played (of course) and "The Stain Remains" was broken out as an encore and was chill-inducing. A lot of fans have gotten on Keith over the years for not singing the RRR songs the way they were recored. Another complaint is that he doesn't use his Paul Bearish deep howls anymore, which were his signature back in those days. Even still, he did put in a lot more effort to the older songs than he has seemed to in quite some time. I normally enjoy him anyway and his solo stuff is touching, heartbreaking, and original. But seeing him with LOA, you kind of secretly hope that now and then, he breaks out the "old Keith" style just because it's so enjoyable. This time around, he did so, and more often than he has in recent years. Summing up, Life of Agony was professional, energetic, and on top of their game. The show in December was a great one, but this was one of those nights that stand out in a different way. Here's hoping for more nights just like this one.

Negative Sky & V.O.D. made this show!!!!!

by Pooperlicious on 1/30/11Starland Ballroom - Sayreville

Negative Sky opened the show in an incredible way. Apparently they were without 1 of their vocalists. The guy up there rocked it, filling in doing both parts. I'd check them out again anytime! Then there were 2 easily forgettable bands. Only thing that stood out from the 2 is the singer from 1 looked like a crazed cross between Glen Danzig & Sebastian Bach. Vision of Disorder made up for the lack of talent in the previous 2 bands! They really did a great job up there. So happy to see them play again! Life of Agony,,, hmmmm. Well if you didn't watch they were good. K. Caputo looked like a homo-erotic version of Jim Morrison. They started off with tracks from their only great album River Runs Red so I thought maybe it would be almost as good a set as VOD's. I was wrong.
