About

A one-man walking, talking hit machine, Liam Gallagher would have to possess one of the most recognisable voices in popular music history. As the front man for Oasis, he not only scaled the mountain but stopped for a lager when he reached the top. His clarion call sounds loud and clear throughout classics like ‘Live Forever’, ‘What’s The Story Morning Glory’, ‘Wonderwall’… do we need to go on? His debut solo album, so many years in the making, is called As You Were and it confirms that Liam is as much of a giant now as he ever was back in the heyday of Britpop. For his first ever headline shows in Australia with a crack band and a setlist that takes in classics old and new, this promises to be the best opportunity to lose your voice mid-singalong at this year’s festival.

Deafening and blinding, Richard Ashcroft was great

by sfgirl6 on 5/13/18The Masonic - San Francisco

The opener, Richard Ashcroft, was fantastic. His set was an acoustic one and he poured his heart and soul into all of his numbers. His songs are still great 20 years later. Loved Bittersweet Symphony and The Drugs Don't Work. He performed for about 45 minutes, then a long break, and Liam Gallagher came on around 9:30pm. The music was louder than anything I had ever heard. I was sure I had lost about 50% of my hearing right there. I spent the rest of the concert plugging my ears with my fingers because I forgot to bring ear plugs - recommended for almost any big concerts, but especially this one. It was just unbearable really. I don't know how anyone survived this without permanent damage, not to mention you can't really enjoy it when your whole body is vibrating from the bass and drums. He did mainly Oasis songs which I love and they were brilliant but Liam Gallagher is terrible on stage. Hard to understand even for English people, barely coherent, barely aware that other people are present, no social skills to speak of. If you're considering his future performances, please bring earplugs! You will thank me later in life. The gig was also ruined by their use of strobe lighting which seemed a) completely inappropriate for this type of act, and b) totally destroyed the audience's eyesight.

    Liam Gallagher played one hour

by Hoosierferg on 5/13/18The Masonic - San Francisco

Vocal range slipping a little. What he was good. But one hour even, with encores, for a headliner is unacceptable. Longtime fan of all things Oasis.

The sound was too loud, it was very uncomfortable ppl were covering their ears. Also, why didn't Richard and Liam played a song together? I get it he has to be grumpy but it was more like a bad attitude.

Liam was great! Speakers were not so much.

by Jolontra on 5/13/18The Masonic - San Francisco

I have always loved Oasis, so it was great to see Liam on tour. The venue is great, but the speakers had a crackling sound and it felt really loud. It made the the show less than perfect, but overall I had a great time.

Ashcroft Great, Liam Mailed it In

by Indierockers on 5/13/18The Masonic - San Francisco

The acoustic show by Richard Ashcroft was superb. While only 45 minutes, it was the highlight of the night. Liam played one hour, with no encore. While he did play some Oasis songs, he was his normal, cocky self.

    Liam and Richard were incredible

by ElderHipster on 5/13/18The Masonic - San Francisco

A true delight for fans of both their former bands and their solo material. Liam and his band sounded like perfection and Richard Ashcroft remains to be one of my personal favorite singers of all time. If you love The Verve and Oasis, do not miss!

Volume way too high. Many people left the event with damaged hearing.

    Don't do It!!

by Eraser47 on 5/12/18The Greek Theater - Los Angeles

Easily among the worst concerts I've seen. He played for under an hour - 12 songs or so straight through and then a quick exit. Very low energy from the band and he seemed like he hated to be there. Vocals were unpolished to a point of being somewhat raw. He could not even hit the range of material that he recently recorded. When is Noel coming back?

    British blabbering

by ikvalderramas on 5/11/18The Masonic - San Francisco

He performed for about 1 hour. 13 songs. The performance was mostly Oasis songs. Not very exciting or engaging.

    Rebel and Liam Gallagher Disappointing

    by CJS888 on 11/26/17REBEL - Toronto

13 songs and 45 minutes is a little light for a guy with the back catalogue like Liam. And Rebel is in the middle of nowhere with no transit, restaurants or bars.

    Liam was great

    by AndrewDM304 on 11/26/17REBEL - Toronto

Liam was awesome. Terrible venue and the crowd sucked. Liam didn’t come out for an encore because the crowd was too stuck up to cheer
