Great event and location. Enjoyed the atmosphere with great spirit from both VCU and Villanova fans. Barclays Center is also very nice.
Would definitely recommend if you are alumni of one of the schools playing, It was a unique opportunity to watch college basketball in a pro arena and the crowd was very passionate.
College basketball can be a fun experience, with alumni getting personally invested in the outcome. The Barclays Center provided a comfortable venue with great sight lines, but the most exciting part of the night came from the "battle of the bands." VCU's Peppas pep band and Villanova's band (represented by members of the amazing Clifton HIGH SCHOOL!) went back and forth trying to energize the crowd from timeout to timeout. I'd recommend going to the event just to be near either band and hearing and feeling the excitement that they bring to the event!
Great games, great teams, great seats, and cheap! It was a great experience
The game was awesome. Fans awesome atmosphere awesome..Go Hoyas
The UCLA vs. Georgia game was great! The Indiana vs. Georgetown game would have been great, if it hadn't been for some really obnoxious fans. We ended up leaving at half-time, as a result.
IU was great. Food choice was minimal. Seats sold were not even available
Beware of the pedestrian beer choices at the Barclays Center. Having something to replace ONE boring lager with a Brooklyn Brewery beer would be nice. There is also a policy against using tablet computers anytime. This means at halftime or between games. No reason given for this policy. Smart phones, no problem.
The arena is amazing. The seats are comfortable, and the staff is very friendly.
Fun, exciting basketball & filled with plenty of great food & drinks during the tournament! Tremendous facility that was easy to get to from Manhattan!
Went for the Progressive Legends Classic to support and see Georgetown play. The arena is nice and the staff is excellent; very courteous and helpful. Will see if it keeps up in the future as the new car feel to the arena has gone away. But this event was a nice intro to the arena.
The Indiana & Georgetown game was amazing...great game!!! The Barclays is a really nice arena...food & drinks were good! The only downside was the game went into OT & not getting out till 12:30AM. I think they should just stick to one game that night...the championship game or else start the first game earlier!
The Barclay Center is truly a work of art and is sure to revitalize Brooklyn and the surrounding area. I grew up in Brooklyn and went to college a few blocks away from the new Barclay center on DeKalb and Clinton. The design brings out the best of Brooklyn for all to enjoy with the one of a kind Brooklyn eateries set up as concessions (Junior's, Spumoni Gardens, Nathan's, etc.). The seating layout was built with the fan in mind as I sat in the highest level section, 207. Each section is brought out above the other making it extremely close to the court. There isn't a bad seat in the house.
I hate barclays because you can't move out if your row because the seats are too close together.
Great event, especially gtown's performance. They stole the tourney with their exciting play. Great group of teams with Indiana and ucla although Georgia doesn't really fit in. Kentucky woulda been a better fit. The new arena is great and there's not a bad seat in the house. Concessions are a bit expensive though.
The tournament was magnificent. Magnificent runoff between UCLA and UGA, but an unbeatable overtime finals between IU and Georgetown. Watching the game from higher up is far better than being down low. The staff at Barclays Center were the nicest I've ever seen at a tournament venue. Bravo to the management. Great hiring and training.
literally the one of the best events in the nation for college basketball, featuring two of my favorite teams.
The game was great. The facility was amazing. A great place to watch basketball. The staff did a great job, especially dealing with drunk fans.
Barclays Center very easy to get to from NJ. Sat in the nosebleeds for $50, a ton of open seats below, would have been nice if they would have let the nosebleeds come down, but ticket checking went even to the end of the game
Lots of fun. Seats had an obstructed view, though, and this was not disclosed by ticket master. House staff was helpful in fixing this.
