    Led Zeppelin 2

by seehorse on 2/9/11Aladdin Theater - Portland

Excellent performance --the theater was a bit small for the sound and so acoustic could have been better. Too loud and not enough separation on the instruments. But the band was polished. Flash back to the 70s only better. The guys did a stellar performance. Were better musicians than Page. They deserve a bigger theater and larger audience. Glad we got to experience LEd Zeppelin 2.

    Led Zep II Cover awesome

by MJFL on 1/23/11Revolution Live - Ft Lauderdale

Expected some lame show but was pleasantly surprised. They looked and sounded great and played solid for over 2 hours! Nice guys too. After show while band was breaking down the drummer came out and threw us a stick. Also, lead guitarist was outside and we stopped to say "hi" and he was very nice. Great experience! Hope they come back to South Florida soon. We'll definitely be there.

    Led Zep 2 surprises!

by SwanSong71 on 1/23/11Revolution Live - Ft Lauderdale

Just saw Led Zeppelin 2 at Revolution in Fort Lauderdale and was pleasantly surprised. Usually "cover acts" can tend to be cheesy, but these guys took the music and their on stage "presence" seriously. Kudos to the guys for nailing it rock solidly hard, the way Zep used to do. I've seen Led Zeppelin in concert and although their musicianship has raised the bar for where rock music aspires to be, anyone following in their footsteps may be attempting the unattainable. But, Led Zeppelin 2 gives it their valiant effort. Led Zep 2 goes beyond the obvious, establishing the group's original look and mannerisms to make it a very enjoyable and fun evening of music. Delving deep into the Zep catalog, the song selection had several surprises. The only downside of the show may be in the vocals and guitar mix. Often during the show, the vocals were mixed so low that you couldn't hear certain key "Plant-isms" that were attempted but lost in the mix. There may have been some guitar leads lost in the mix too, but overall the band worked hard to nail the overall sound. I give them credit for switching out all the guitars in an effort to capture the different Zep guitar sounds and styles. On the other hand, the drummer and bass combination was second to none and the Bonham look and sound-a-like drummer was an animal on the kit, perfectly driving each tune...the real Bonzo would've been proud! Led Zeppelin paved the artistic roadmap for the future of rock music. Even back in the late 60's, they were ahead of their time. Thanks to the Led Zeppelin 2 guys for their genuine tribute to one of rock's best bands in the world!

    2 hours late

by Andreaop on 1/21/11Masquerade - Atlanta

They were ok. Did not enjoy waiting 2 hours for a cover band.

    Not that great

by Burrrahh on 1/21/11Masquerade - Atlanta

First, the band came 2 hours late. Very unprofessional. Second, they were trying too hard to imitate the original line up and seriously failing at it. But, the music was good if thats all you care about. But I would suggest loading up your ipod with all Led Zep albums, sit down and listen instead if these guys.

    Very unprofessional.

    by Zepfan12 on 1/21/11Masquerade - Atlanta

These guys need to realize they're not the real led zeppelin. Even the real led zeppelin wouldn't act so high handed towards their fans. They opened 2 hours late, on a weekday. I left before they started. Some of my friends stayed back to watch them, but I left. According to my friends, the band did not play anywhere close to good covers of the zep songs. If you want to see a truly good cover band, check out 'The Machine' that covers Pink Floyd. These guys need to wake up and realize they're a cover band. Reading other reviews, I realized this wasn't an unplanned delay. They do this at most shows, probably disillusioned into thinking, this will make the people appreciate them when they come on stage.

"Spot On!" Led Zeppelin 2 REMARKABLE!

by T8i8m on 1/19/11Paradise Rock Club - Boston

I was skeptical at first, but Led Zeppelin is my BEST band, so here I go! This is a great, great show! Not only did the Music sound like the REAL Zeppelin but they acted as the REAL did! Outstanding in both hitting the songs dead on and looking the part! I would see it over and over and over again! All Band Members were outstanding but, being a Drummer, the Drummer was as close to Bonham as you could get! Great Show!

    LZ 2 was very good

by grigga on 1/17/11Paradise Rock Club - Boston

I have seen Led Zeppelin and this band sounded, even looked like the original. The vocals and instruments, especially the drummer, were authentic. My friend who has never seen Zeppelin, kept saying, it sounds like my Led Zeppelin cd playing. If you never got to see the real band, this is the next best thing.

Start on time, you ain't the real deal

by Panamon on 1/16/11Paradise Rock Club - Boston

First off, musically, LZ2 was great...big cred for that. But given that they were scheduled to go on at 9 on thursday...a work night for most of us old time Zep fans...that's late enough...the fact that they didn't actually go on until after 10 is unforgivable. Get over yourselves dudes...you're a tribute band, get to work on time. Visually, they were hit and miss...faux Plant was an admirable stand in, but looked somewhat bored much of the time. Faux Page had a bad wig and an "ahh, the meds have kicked in look frozen on his face. Faux Bonham's wig was worse and Faux Jones was admirable. Would I go again...maybe if I had the next day off.

    A Great Cover Band

by Phead23 on 1/15/11Paradise Rock Club - Boston

I only have two complaints..... 1.) They got on stage an hour late. 2.) They didn't open with We're Gonna Grove. This show as excellent and the setlist was sweet. They managed to cover the entire Zeppelin catelog while staying away from more of the mainstream songs. The band demonstrated their ability to replicate the Zeppelin sound and the show was very good. When this band comes around again, it's absolutely worth checking them out. Zeppelin Rules!

    A really fun time

by BrewtalBoyz on 1/15/11Paradise Rock Club - Boston

Almost gave 4 stars because of a 'minor' quibble...they started an hour late (10PM) on a work night...many in the crowd were getting ticked off. I saw them last year and had a great time and in the end, this was another really fun experience. They start out a bit slow but pick up momentum and authenticity as time goes on. Yes, sometimes veering dangerously close to Spinal Tap...but, the enthusiasm of the band and the crowd always keeps you in the fantasy. Kashmir and When the Levee Breaks are spine chillers. Loosen up, let the 'fantasy' that it's really Led Zep up there, only a few feet away...and you'll have a blast.

    Led Zeppelin 2 mixed review

by Tamanthap on 1/15/11Paradise Rock Club - Boston

The Paradise was an awesome venue. Lots of fans excitedly awaiting the show - which should have started at 9. At 10 the band decided to show up - no apologies, no excuses. The drummer was awesome - rockin out hard. The lead was clearly high - or on something. He tripped over himself a few times, playing chords from the previous night's show at least a couple times. Sounded great when he was together with the band. The singer was good, but definitely no Robert Plant. Didn't hit some of the high notes I'd been waiting for. Bass/Keyboardist was great, In all I'd recommend the show because I love Led Zeppelin and the show itself was a lot of fun, like a great flashback!
